Homeo remedies are best taken first thing in the morning and last at night. Since however you will be using a number of remedies daily, it is really not relevant as to when you take them as long as it is taken about half hour before a meal.

Hi Joe;
I am suffering from anal abscess since February 2010. I had it on both sides (HoreseShoe). It was connected by my groin area. I could not bare the pain. I had it drained in emergency room. Soon after my right side kept leaking pus and I went to a Surgeon and he thought I had fistula and performed a surgery. However after the surgery he told me it was not an fistula rather whole bunch of abscess that were communicating. Now i have cut on both side and draining. Now on the right side right next to my cut i formed another abscess and it is very painful. And this new abscess i think have nothing to drain from since i don't have a cut there. I went to a homeopath doctor 4 days ago and he gave me

Immunolin
Alpha-Tonic
Heaper Sulf
skin Formula 60ml
I don't know if they are working i need to get rid of this pain fast I don't know what to do with the abscess. Please let me know as soon as possible I am very miserable. Ruben9..your story is similar...to get rid of pain i must say you should take sits bath 2 or 3 times daily...this helped me...also...i do not use tissues any more after BM. Work with joe therapy it will help...keep the bottom very clean....also make sure u do not get constipated...if drink alcohal give up.. | | |

Please read the Posts by patients on this thread to give you an idea of the therapy that I have prescribed to help them. I shall copy my standard instructions below to help you with your Abscess which from your report has been badly mangled by your surgeon and may take some time to heal.
I shall now copy the therapy I have pioneered and prescribed to patients who suffer from FISTULA, FISSURE AND ABSCESS of the Anus. The majority of those who have used my therapy aka "Joepathy" have confirmed that they have benefitted from this therapy and many have confirmed that they have been cured.
I shall note the Remedies prescribed below:
Silicea 6x Dose 2 tablets taken twice daily to expel the pus from the lesion.
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose a capful of the bottle taken thrice daily to increase the flow of blood which in turn will help to rebuild the tissue.
Nat Phos 6x Dose 2 tablets taken twice daily after meals to soften the stools.
Ferr Phos 6x Dose 2 tablets taken twice daily to improve the quality of the blood to help heal the lesion.
Antibiotic Ointment like Polyfax or equivalent which is used internally on the tip of a gloved finger inserted into the anus after every bowel movement to keep the bacterial count as low as possible in the lesion.
Hypericum 200 in the Wet dose, a capful taken every 4 hours to alleviate the pain instead of the Advil.
Do not use toilet paper after a BM. Use a Hand Spray device instead available at Wal Mart. You can fit it DIY basis.
No Alcohol, Red meat, Coffee and Sausages, Ham and Bacon as they are loaded with Saltpeter. No canned beverages like Coke.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be use but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack which can be ordered from the ABC.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.

It is essential that the patient reads any prescription carefully and follows the directions given precisely. In your case I note that you have made some fundamental errors which can fortunately be corrected before you order and use the wrong remedy which can cause you more harm than good.

You do NOT :

If you do the 87% Alcohol will burn your throat and can make you quite tipsy.
You will only use just 3 DROPS of the Arnica 30c and NOT 6c in a 500ml bottle of spring water.
I hope that you will read the therapy I have indicated and you will appreciate that you are the patient and if you wish to be cured you must follow the guidelines I have indicated PRECISELY. You cannot afford to take it upon yourself to vary the potency of the Arnica as the 6c is not of any use for your case.
It is fortunate for you that I spotted these fundamental errors on your part which may have caused more harm than cure.

A Voltaran Suppository is indicated for your acute pain as it will be directly in contact with the anal tissues and will also alleviate the pain better.

I have modified the Joepathy I prescribed for Fistula and have added some more matters below.

From my last post:
As of today ( 7/28/10). I don't even have the pain anymore, the gray head is still visible on the skin surface.
I have stopped the Silica. I actually feel really good and am excited that this is healing.No blood, no pus, no fevers and overall, the tissue is not so inflamed. I can still feel the canal of the fistula right up to the gray whitehead when sitting on the toilet, but it's much improved.
Your response: You may amend your therapy to:
Arnica 30c twice daily.
Nat Phos 6x twice daily.
AB ointment can be continued as usual.

Joe my situation is absolutely enlightening.I cannot believe how fast I responded to the therapy. In about one months time, I went from chronic pain, bleeding, fevers and pus, to practically no instance of a fistula.The fistula and the canal under the skin has shrunk/recessed considerably. The whitehead that was on the surface of the skin has disappeared. Even people at work say I look rested and have color in my face. I am still taking the last prescribed doses I listed above.
To everyone reading this. You MUST follow the steps and prescribed doses, including taking them early and at the end of day. I cannot tell you how surprised I was when each morning I would awake and see there was improvement. | | |

Hi Joe;
One more question regarding the medication I just want to know while taking the medication you indicated how much time should i leave in between for next medicine consumption. Meaning I won't be taking all the medicine at once for example in morning i need to take 5 types of medications will i be taking them all at right after another or give it some time in between.

It is a report like yours that keeps me motivated at my advanced age of 81 to help anyone in distress, when I read it around 6.00AM in the morning when I sit at my computer.
You will continue with your therapy except for the AB Ointment which can also be stopped. You will however observe if you have any burning pain after a BM as this will indicate that the lesion is still active.
You can also consider stopping the Nat Phos 6x at a later date which is designed to keep the stools soft and eat plenty of fruits like Bananas and Papaw or Prunes and others which are known to help to avoid constipation. Also drink plenty of water and exercise regularly. | | |

Greetings,
I was recently diagnosed with an Anal Fistula and the surgeon recommends surgery. I am not in pain, but there is a persistant drainage of pus and sometimes blood. I do not want to have surgery and the doctor informed me it would be quite painful during the healing process.
The surgeon informed me the fistula is about 3cm long. I've been reading through some of the posts, but I am confused about silicia...as I understand it to be dangerous. Is there more than one form of silicia?
Can someone please tell me exactly what worked for their fistula if they are noticing it healing?

3 years ago, I was diagnosed with an anal fistula. I was told by the doctor that I needed surgery. I found your site, and started taking your Arnica wet dose, Silica, and sitz baths. I increased my fiber intake, and was very carful when cleaning after BM using wet napkins, and also during my shower.
I would like to report, that I started to notice results within less than a month. Within 3 months, the bleeding stopped, and within a year the sentinel tag was greatly reduced, but not gone. I stopped the sitz baths within months. Pus flow was minimal and manageable, but I continued to keep clean using baby wipes and careful cleaning in the shower. I also took extra trips to the toilet, not for a BM, but just to clean out the pus with wet napkins as often as I could to keep the area clean.
I stopped using the Arnica and Silica after that 1st year. But I was aware to keep my fiber intake high and not to strain during BM, and to keep clean.
Within 2 years, the pus had stopped, and the sentinel tag was completely gone. I had the anus of an 18 year old!

But recently, I started dieting again, and I have been having a lot of coffee to keep me going. A week ago, I notice a sentinel pile again! No pain associated with this pile and no bleeding or pus discharge either....yet
I am more knowledgeable this time after your advice 3 years ago, and I have increased my fiber, and I am not straining during BM. I try to push the pile back into my sphincter after BM when it is relaxed. This seems to temporarily make it smaller.
Should I get back on the Arnica and Silica prescription, or will these not help for a sentinel pile that has no bleeding or pus?

Thank you for your report of your response to my Joepathy which I note you used even without my directly prescribing for you for the last 3 years, merely by following the therapy I prescribed to fellow sufferers of Anorectal ailments on this Thread.
It is reports of the success in using my Joepathy like yours, that keep me active on the ABC Forum at my advanced age of 81 as it gives me deep satisfaction in helping anyone in distress especially those on this Thread which I note is not visited by other Homeopaths on the ABC. As you are perhaps aware, I have not restricted my therapy to Homeopathic remedies alone as I have also included an Antibiotic Ointment the equivalent of which is not available in the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia. I believe in using remedies and medicines in a strictly non-classical manner which was derisively classified by some homeopaths about 5 years ago as Joepathy as I did not abide by the strict classical rules even though I used Homeopathic remedies on a "This for That" basis as I was only interested in results and not in the terminology used, Classical or Joepathy.
I note with some concern that you have now presented a "Sentinel Pile" which you state is due to your dieting and drinking coffee. I also note that you have stopped taking Arnica and Silicea after the first year. I agree that Silicea was best stopped but you must know that Arnica is essential for you especially since you had benefitted from it as it helps to filter the blood and is best described as a general tonic.
If your diagnosis of Sentinel Pile is a Hemorrhoid, the remedy to be used is Hamamelis 200 in the Wet dose taken twice daily. This should reduce your Hemorrhoid with the week and I would appreciate if you will confirm its progress. The Silicea is not indicated now but you are advised to start on Arnica 30c in the Wet dose ASAP. You can also start on Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets twice daily after each of 2 meals to regulate your BM's. It will also help to reduce your weight by about 1kg per week.
