i am confused about the dosage of arnica in water. can you explain it again?

i am trying to cure a fistula without surgery. abcess ruptured 3 weeks ago. slight oozing now. but swells, shrinks and is still painful..

thanks

trishs last decade
To Trishs

The wet dose is made by inserting 3 pellets Arnica 30 into a 500ml bottle of water which you will shake hard before you sip a teaspoonful twice daily.

Please note that the other instructions especially the insertion of an antibiotic ointment into the anus is essential if you wish to be cured.

Joe De Livera last decade
thank you. i am amazed that the ammount is so small.

i am a bit confused as to the other directions. i have read tons of the posts. is the antibiotic ointment over the counter?

for a fistula which keeps swelling with and drains occasionally what is the best direction? it is painful with pressure.

thank you and sorry to make you repeat yourself.

You will need the following remedies which I have mentioned in many posts on this thread:

Arnica 30c to heal the lesion
Silicea 6x tablets to drain the pus
Nat Phos 6x tablets to keep the stools soft
Antibiotic Ointment to keep the bacterial count in the anal canal as low as possible. This is not a OVTC drug in the UK and US and you will have to get a prescription for it. While you do so you can inquire from your pharmacy what other ointment they can give you which is an antiseptic. Calendula Ointment (homeopathic) can also help while you get the antibiotic ointment.

In your case Silicea is essential to promote drainage of the pus and you will have to follow my instructions on the treatment if you wish to be cured.

thank you very much. it's all clear now.

i will contact my dr. after the holiday weekend to get the prescription for the antibiotic cream. is there a particular name or brand?

There is a difference between the OINTMENT that I have prescribed and CREAM that you refer to. The former is vaseline based while the latter is a water soluble base. The ointment stays in situ for much longer than the cream and this is the secret of the cure as the bactericidal action of the antibiotic ointment helps the lesion to heal.

Ask for Polyfax which is the best.

thank you.

I left a message for my dr today asking to call in a presciption antibiotic. she called back when i was not at home and left a message saying the Polyfax was not available. Then she also said she was reluctant to prescribe a topical antibiotic. this is annoying. i will call her back after the holiday. Is there anything i could say which will be more persuasive? what ever happened to patients rights???? is there another brand? or is there a particular strength?

thanks again,

I live in Sri Lanka and cannot indicate the names of Antibiotic ointments that are available in your country which I presume is the UK.

You can inquire after the names of the antibiotic ointments available from your pharmacy and get a prescription from your doctor. You can also inform her of the proposed application of the AB ointment.

Trish,

I use Neosporin which is an over the counter antibiotic ointment in the US. It does work well. Hope it helps.

julianna480 last decade
HI, thanks joe and julianna for your replies. i am in the US.

i will get the Neosporin to use until i can get a persciption from the DR. While at the pharmacy i will ask the pharmacist for what they carry.

thanks again

Hi JOe,
a quick questions. I ordered Arnica30C in a 'liquid dilusion format' not the 'pellets'. I use 10 drops and add some water to it. Can I use the liquid dilusion or I have re-order the pellets and use them as described in previous posts.

tumzin last decade
To Tumzin

I am not familiar with 'liquid dilusion format' and do not know what it represents.

If you wish to indicate that you have got the remedy Arnica 30c in Ethanol you are OK and all you need is just 2 drops in a 500ml bottle of spring water.

I presume that you have also got the other remedies that I have prescribed which you can read about above.

I can see that you have not cared to read the posts above where I have given clear instructions on how to treat a Fistula

Please co-operate in your own interest by reading the clear instructions that I have given in previous posts to enable me to avoid repeating them again.

Honest Question here. I put in posts, I get no reply.
I think it's because this forum was created by someone trying to sell something.

Could i be wrong?????

Joe,
I just want to thank you for sharing the remedy to a fistula. I am extremely relieved now, knowing that I don’t have to go through surgery for the second time; only to find out that another fistula developed.
It has been about 17 days since I started the treatment and the drainage has almost stopped completely. The amount of drainage now, in about an eight hour period, is roughly the same as the amount of matter(or sleep) that comes from one eye after a night of sleep. The drainage before was constant and sticky; always leaving noticeable marks in my underwear after a short period of time.
The only problem I had was with the Nat Phos 6X. I noticed, while taking the Nat Phos, that my stools became very firm – so firm that I developed another fissure this week. Aside from the one time, which initiated the development of my abscess, my problem has never been constipation or hardened stools. I have a diet which is high in fibre, so my stools are generally soft. I don’t know why this would have happened, but I immediately stopped using the Nat Phos and started using the Polysporin(Polyfax) again. My stools are now soft like they were before.
I will continue using the Arnica 30c, as a wet dose, and the Silicea 6X - both twice daily until the fistula has stopped draining completely. At that time I will continue only the Arnica, once daily. I will also continue using the Polysporin, around the fissure, for about 5 more days.
I have one more question though; is it ok to take other homeopathic medicines while using medicine for the fistula? Namely Thuja for warts. I will be asking for advice on that issue in a post titled “Anal Warts.”

Thanks again for all of your help!

Glad to note that you have had some success with the therapy I have pioneered for the treatment of your problem in just 17 days. It is still very early in the therapy for you to be cured but you can confidently expect success in about a month when you can stop the Silicea and keep on with the Arnica for life.

You are advised not to stop the antibiotic you are using as it is the combination of these remedies and drug that you are reaping the benefits today.

Your response to the Nat Phos 6x is historic and this has never been reported to me up to now. Are you sure that you have the Nat Phos 6x ? This remedy is Sodium Phosphate and is a laxative in the original salt which you can get OTC.

Can you describe your 'anal wart' ?

Joe De Livera last decade
Joe,

Thank you, I will continue with the Silicea, Arnica, and antibiotic as prescribed.

Concerning the Nat Phos; I purchased “NATRUM PHOS” by “Hylands” there is a large “#10” on the bottle which I assume refers to its place with the 12 cell salts. The side label reads: “Natrum Phosphoricum 6x H.P.U.S. (Sodium Phosphate).” I could try using it again to see if it actually caused the hardened stools or if it was merely coincidental.

I have made a post regarding the warts here: http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/79544/ but if you would like me to post in this forum I would gladly do that.

I really cannot thank you enough for all that you have done. Three weeks ago I felt that there wasn’t hope for my fistula; today I can see the end of my problem.

Hi All,
I just wanted to share my experience with an ano-vaginal fistula in the hope it might be of use to someone else. I think my experience could be called a success, but I still need to see the results in the longer term. Pls note - I am not a doctor or nurse, and I have NO medical expertise whatsoever. This is just my personal experience.

After having a batholan cyst excised, I found I had an issue with fecal matter coming out through my vagina, as well as pus and a bit of pain. I was told by a succession of experts that it can't heal by itself and left with the grim option of seton placement for 3 - 12 months followed by the removal of the fistula tract. I love and value my sex life, so having some revolting cord running from my anus to my vagina was just too repellant to even consider, so I started doing my own research. The first priority was to somehow stop the pus and poo coming out of my vagina.

My regimen : AFTER my regular morning bowel movement, I clean my anal tract using an enema with a home made antibiotic garlic solution. It is important to ensure your regular bowell movements are not interrupted - your bowell can become dependant on enemas if you use them to facilitate bowel movement, so always ensure you have your regular bowel movement. I use a small volume of garlic water several times to ensure the anal tract is clean. I used to also squirt some garlic soln through the actual fistula tract. (it appears my tract is now healing, as even though I can still find the anal opening was, the garlic soln will no longer pass through, so it seems the tract has closed at least at the vaginal end)

So, by 8am, I've had my bowel movement and cleaned out my anal tract. There is nothing to pass through the fistula tract to my vagina.

For the rest of the day, until my evening meal, I only eat fresh vegetables - mainly raw carrots, snow peas and capsicum. This ensures my anal tract stays clean and empty, so again, there is nothing to pass through the fistula tract, and the fistula tract stays sterile after being washed with garlic soln.

In the evening, I ensure that I eat nothing later than 8.30pm, as I want to ensure that everything I have eaten passes through my system with the first morning bowel movement. So, once I have cleaned my anal tract the next morning, it stays clean for the rest of the day.

At first I thought it was great just to be clean and discharge free, but even better, the fistula itself seems to be healing. I have been using this process for about eight weeks.

The garlic soln I use is made as follows: take 1 or 2 cloves of garlic, stick in a 250ml glass jar and add boiling filtered water. let it sit for 24 hours and pour the liquid into a jar about 1 litre in size and discard the used garlic. pour in some boiling filtered water and top up with cold filtered water so temperature is lukewarm (if too cold will gripe, if too hot will feel uncomfortably hot in the anal tract)

I still have to see how this goes in the longer term, but so far all is good. I'm delighted to not have to have nasty surgery that could leave me anally incontinent.

Also, there is the Surgisis Anal Fistula plug that looks like a better option than conventional surgery. I'd post a link but I'm short on time and it comes up easy in google searches. Early tests show it has a better success rate than other surgeries, no risk of anal incontinence because there is no cutting, and is best suited to the longest and most difficult tracts. If I have to have surgery, this is the option I'll be looking for (although no-one I've spoken to in Australia has offered it to me as an option)

You already have the advice of experts who are more knowledgeable than me on your other thread to which you referred and I would recommend that you use their advice.

I wish you well.

I read in another post that someone had hard stool with the Nat Phos but cut the dosage in half (1 pill only) and it worked well for him.

julianna480 last decade
I cannot believe that Nat Phos 6x can possibly cause constipation as it is a remedy which always accelerates the passage of food through the gut thereby sending it down into the colon for disposal faster than usual.

Reducing the dosage will only serve to reduce its action.
