Please note that after careful study my faher has observed that night aggravation of throat & ulcer painare mainly due to his habit of sleeping position for long time , i.e, when resting himself on the left side on bed for long time pain in the throat and ulcer increases. But whenever he changes his position, eitheron right side or straignt (resting back on the bed) the pain reduces, since both throat and ulcer pain on the tongue are on the left side only. Now the status at 16:00 hts are : Less Pain in the throat & ulcer than today morning. Swelling / lump of ulcer on the left side of the tongue is still present but slightly reduced state compared to 10 days back.

How long has ".the lying in bed at night on left side throat pain aggravtion." been occuring?is the the left side aggravation of throat a new symptom?
| Re: Ulcer in mouth / tongue (continued) | From amitavam [Log on to view profile] | on 2004-09-19 |
The throat pain only on the left side has developed after few days of tongue ulcer on the left side. It is observed thatas and when tongue ulcer on the left side increases, the throat pain on the left side also increases. Similarly when tongue ulcer decreases the throat pain also decreases. There was no pain in the throat at the beginning stage of tongue ulcer. Please note that from the begining there was no ulcer on the right side of the tongue. My father was complaining all along about the aggravation of throat pain in the night while on bed and same was communicated to you time and again. He has also observed that while on bed if he sits for few seconds, the throat pain reduces. This fact has also been communicated to you. Very recently he has observed that the pain increases in the throat & ulcer as and whenhe lies down on bed and the pain becomes more acute. Whenever he sleeps resting himself on the left side (by habit). It seems there is a direct link of left side tongue ulcer with left side throat pain. As regards his present temperament, i have observed that he looks jolly and more active. He has strong belief in homeopathy, since the main ulcer has reduced and pain on the ulcers has reduced considerably. Earlier he was having problem in talking, eating due to pain, but now he can talk & eat freely and comfortably. Status as of now, 9:30 hrs IST, ulcer & throat pain is very less and it is under bearable limit.

ned to know (truth) any food or drink or even fasting give rise to this aggravation?
| Re: Ulcer in mouth / tongue (continued) | From John Stanton [Log on to view profile] | on 2004-09-20 |
if NOTHING at all! has triggered this and pain is not in control--then single dose only lachesis 30c ..
| Re: Ulcer in mouth / tongue (continued) | From amitavam [Log on to view profile] | on 2004-09-20 |
No special food or drink has given rise to this aggravation. He never does fasting. Pain is in bearable limit. So should we wait & watch before taking Lachesis 30c. Drinking water & swallowing food is painful, otherwise it is bearable. So what do you advice ?.

ok--NO! lach for now..---go hepar LM 0/1
same procedure (as listed below)
Use a 4oz/100ml bottle, fill it 2/3 with water. [{dissolve one pill} or {1 drop liquid}] hepar sulphur LM 0/1 in it, (1)hit the bottle against a book, or something, 10 times, THIS MUST BE DONE EVERY TIME , before using from the bottle, (2)take one teaspoon "ONLY", into a 8 oz glass of water ..{{always use a fresh glass and spoon}}, (3)stir good, then take one teaspoon, as medication from 8 oz glass of solution. (4) keep it in the mouth a minute or so, swallow. (5)continue steps (3-4) every 4hours -untill there is a hard aggravation,or amelioration then stop. (6)Next day--Throw the solution, thats left in the 8 oz glass, put glass and spoon in the washer. (7) repeat (steps 1-6)

| Re: Ulcer in mouth / tongue (continued) | From amitavam [Log on to view profile] | on 2004-09-21 |
Status as on morning at 6:30 hrs IST of 21.09.04 : 1. Throat pain, left side only is more and as usual night aggravation while on bed is much more. This pain is just like before taking Hepar Sulph. 2. Ulcer pain on the left side of the tongue is slightly more, but swelling /lump has further reduced. 3. Blisters on the left side of the inner cheek is painful.
Lachesis 30 has not taken yet, what do you advice now ? Should Hepar sulph LM 0/1 be taken ?.
| Re: Ulcer in mouth / tongue (continued) | From John Stanton [Log on to view profile] | on 2004-09-21 |
yes --start hepar LM 0/1 now. (as directed above)

| Re: Ulcer in mouth / tongue (continued) | From amitavam [Log on to view profile] | on 2004-09-21 |
Today (21/09/04) from 9:45 hrs to 20:45 hrs IST, Hepar Sulph LM 0/1 solution taken 4 times at an interval of 4 hrs. So far there is neither aggravation nor amelioration observed. As reported yesterday afternoon, there is an increase in throat pain and ulcer pain, and since it was within bearable limit, so Lachseis30 was not taken. But in the morning today, at 9:00 hrs, i.e, before taking Hepar Solution LM 0/1, pain in the throat & ulcer was slightly less, as compared to yesterday afternoon. And same is maintained even after taking 4th dose of LM 0/1 today. Swallowing & drinking is still painful. From the last 2 days, pain was fluctuating , sometimes it is less and sometimes it is more, without any medication or change of diet. As per your advice, tomorrow morning freshly prepared solution(8 ozs glass) will be taken in a similar manner.

Today also Hepar Sulph LM 0/1 solution has been taken at an interval of 4 hrs from 08:00 hrsto 20:00 hrs i.e, 4 times. There is no hard aggravation. Overall pain in throat & ulcer is slightly less. Whether to continue the same remedy tomorrow ?
