HI,

First I would like to answer your question regarding the succussion - going backwards if you go for only 10 succussions..
You would not go backwards in this case as the potency of the solution will increase with certain succussion. It doesn't matter if you go for 10 succussions or 40 succussions at a time.. For example - you have made a solution of 200c of a remedy and succussed it 10-20 times its potency will increase to 201, next time if you succuss it again by 10-20 times its potency will increase to 202. Third time if you give 40 succussions potency will increase to 203..The potency will not go backwards if you succuss less number of times than last dose.

Now coming back to your problem.
It seems every little dose of natrum mur has been helping you to some extend.. Since you have taken the another dose of this remedy also you have got the periods, I would advise you to wait for a week and see how you feel.

Is this the first time that you have got the periods early or does it happens frequently?

For your baby - give him calc phos 6x 1 tab twice a day for sensitive gums..

Hey thank you for that detailed explanation of succusions. I appreciate it :)

Yes I will see how I feel in another week or so.
Also no the period being early has not happened before. For the last four months I have been quite regular.

My son is sick, it's definitely not his teeth.
He's got a really phlegmy cough and I think a sore throat, as he cries after almost every coughing fit.
Especially at night when he wakes up coughing, and in the morning after first waking up.
He also is crying very sadly whenever anything doesn't go how he wanted.
He did have a fever, but not sure if he does currently. He's been drinking a lot of water this time, which is good.

1. What is the color of cough (if its coming out)?

2. What aggravates and ameliorates the cough?

3.Is there any other problem associated with the cough?

4. What would you do to make him stop crying?

5. Describe any unique thing you might have observed during the illness..

No there is nothing coming up that I can observe when he coughs.

Laying down (bedtime)makes it worse, anything that causes heavier breathing because of the congestion moving.
So the opposite (being still) would help it not happen.
It does seem like he wasn't coughing as much when we went outside in the cold air.

His eyes are puffy and red and he keeps rubbing them, or he is closing them even though he is not going to sleep.

To get him to stop crying I pick him up and console him, carry him around and show him things, or do something with him and his toys to distract him. Holding him is very helpful, and he responds well to comforting.

Nothing particularly unique that I can think of. Just the things that are abnormal to his (healthy) behavior that I have already mentioned. Lack of appetite, crying at every disappointment, oh and a very willful desire to do things for himself. Like taking a bite of food, for example, he will refuse it from my hand but as soon as I set it down he will pick it up himself and eat it. But I am not sure that's abnormal, I think it's just worse/accentuated cuz he's grumpy.

give him Pulsatilla 30c only one dose.
add 1 drop or 2 pills in 3-4 teaspoons of water and give him a sip or a teaspoon from it..

homeodr 7 years ago
I only have 200c.....is that alright?
We took him to the dr today to make sure the phlegm wasn't in his lungs. She said it's just in his sinuses and throat, so that's good

rom109 7 years ago
Ok..200c should be fine..

About a half hour after I gave it to him his nose started running. It wasn't before--his sinuses had been mostly dry.
His cough has been pretty bad still, but it sounds like he's breaking up that congestion in his throat.
His mood has not improved. He's still crying at every disappointment and wanting to be entertained. He hasn't hardly eaten anything today, he would rather play with the food.
He's also even more persistent about "doing it himself"-- he won't let me feed him a bite. But he will pick it up himself and eat it.

On another note, this cold streak has finally caught up with me. :(
It started with a sore throat and dry, swollen, burning sensation in my throat and sinuses. Minimal congestion, and some sneezing. Wandering body aches, too.
I'm really grumpy, tired and impatient. Cool fresh air is very helpful, I found out. My husband had the heat up so the baby didn't get a chill, but I think it makes both of us feel worse with the stuffy hot air. I've had the window open all day. It helps my head not hurt so much.
Also my period has ended about 2 days early.

You may also take a dose of pulsatilla 200c. Add 3-4 pills or 2-3 drops in 2 teaspoons of water and take a dose from it.

Baby... Lets wait for a day and see if there is any improvement. Update me at the end of the day..

So today has been about the same with my son. His cold seems to be getting better- last night he did not cough in his sleep. And today significantly less coughing.
his attitude is the same though. he is being somewhat stinkery, and testy. Hitting, pinching, and then hugging and cuddling.
He wants to be held constantly. Still won't eat much either. Besides nursing.

I am feeling a lot better today. Sneezing more, but my throat is just about normal and my congestion is significantly improved. I'm still tired and a little snappy, but a lot less.

rom109 7 years ago
Since your son improved in terms of cough, I am hoping there will be some improvement in his appetite and behavior as well.. No more doses now.. Update me in 2 days..

Also it seems the nasal congestion and throat has been improved a lot for you..so no more doses for you as well..

Hi
I am just now updating because until now there's been nothing to note.
We've been getting better and better. Our colds are pretty much gone. No more coughing or congestion.

Both of our moods in the last two days have really come to an abrupt change however.

I am extremely on edge. I am in somewhat of a happy good mood but out of nowhere I will become very impatient and irritable, snapping at my son and being quick to react harshly, instead of patient and lenient.
Even in the night as he is moving around I am extremely frustrated at him and wanting to make him be still.
I've noted mine first as his mood could very well be a reaction to mine.

He has been being very testy in the last two days. Yesterday he was being fairly destructive. Intentionally throwing, knocking over, spilling etc. also he was falling down a lot or bumping into things and bonking his head.
Also he's been crying/screaming/whining at things/issues like if he's trying to move a toy and it gets stuck he freaks out instead of trying to figure it out or ask for help. Or if he wants something from me he goes straight to the cry/scream instead of asking for it.

rom109 7 years ago
ok..Good to know you both are doing well in terms of cold and cough..

Quick questions --
Is there something bothering you? You seem to be frustrated on something and expressing it out on your baby..

homeodr 7 years ago
Yes-
My husband and I are working on applying for a mortgage and I'm trying to get all the paperwork sent to the loan officer and it's a lot of mental strain. I can't get my internals to calm down. I finally finished this afternoon but now anything else I need to do around the house is aggravating me. I feel a bit panicky in my chest like there's a jumble of emotional energy that just explodes if I feel any external pressure.... it just happens to mostly be normal demands from my son, unfortunately.
I feel bad for it. :(

Hi-
Just wanted to say that we're having a better day today.
I'm taking a break from paperwork and distractions and spending the day focusing on my son and trying to be calm and attentive.
He is responding very well to it; going off and playing by himself for long periods of time as I'm cleaning the house, and not being demanding at me. Even responding very well to my commands(listening well).

So that's good.
I am still having difficulty letting go of the anxiety, however.
On a side note, I hope you do not think that I think that a remedy is going to get rid of stressors. I realize there's lots of things in every day normal life that must be (learned how to be)dealt with.
I do know there are healthy and unhealthy stress responses that the correct remedy can help with.
That's where I'm coming from. Just wanted to let you know I'm not looking for a magical cure for all unpleasantness. Lol

A couple things that have been happening...

My son has been waking up crying three or four times during the night again. He sleeps pretty solid from about 10PM-2AM or 4AM, and then he wakes up crying, and then I nurse him back to sleep and he wakes up another hour or so later crying almost inconsolably, and then wants milk again....and we continue this until about 10AM when he finally wakes up for the day.
His daytime attitude is nothing to note.

I have been having incredibly violent dreams for the last week. They are vivid and active. Stressful dreams that have a lot of running from bad people, hiding, and fighting. There's shooting, stabbing, blood, injuries... lots of high anxiety stuff....
i have not been watching scary movies or anything out of the ordinary, so I do not know where this is coming from.
I feel like I'm not really getting good quality sleep, and it's pretty difficult to wake up.

My daytime consists of trying to be calm and balanced with my son, paying attention to him and patiently teaching him to ask for my attention appropriately, because there are necessary things that take mommy's time besides him.
It's hard to balance that; and with this constant stress of finances and our future living situation in my face -- trying to get everything set up and prepared for-- really is straining.

I'm considering taking another dose of Nat Mur, but I don't want to mess anything up since my last dose of anything was a different remedy (puls) I dont know if that's the right step to take....But it all seems pretty similar to my usual complaints....
Trying to be patient and waiting for your recommendation.....

You may take single dose of Natrum Mur by succussing the left over solution.

For your son -- it seems something is bothering him.. It can be earache or dentition pain or bowel issues.. Have you noticed any such physical issues?

homeodr 7 years ago
It could always be his teeth.
His bowels seem normal and he's not showing any signs of pain around his ears.

He is being very demanding for attention from both of us, and if he doesn't get immediate attention he starts screaming. If I completely drop everything I'm doing, whether it's washing my face, making dinner, or getting on the computer, then he is happy and wants me to play with him and cuddle and nurse. And he will be content as long as I don't start doing anything else.

Give him a dose of Pulsatilla 200c 1 drop in 3-4 teaspoons of water. Update me in 4-5 days.

Uhm.....
I know it's only been 2 days but i don't see any improvement at all......

The last two nights he's woken up he sits up, starts whimpering and then flat out hits me with anger.
He's tossing and turning all night and crying and whimpering-- seems like he can't get comfortable. If I move he wakes up and does it all again.
For the last three days he's had some thick sounding, rattling congestion way up in his sinuses that is very troubling to him when he is sleeping.

Daytime has not gotten any better, maybe worse....just continuing to escalate with his demanding and crying if things don't go his way.
His mood seems to be the worst after he wakes up from his nap. He wakes up crying, very upset...and it's just nearly impossible to snap him out of that mind frame for the rest of the day.

The sleeping part is really the worst though. It's really doing a number on me. And maybe why he's not having great days cuz he's not sleeping well.

Ok I just checked his temp and he also has a fever, that explains the sleeping discomfort and a lot of the mood

rom109 7 years ago
Give him ferrum phos 6x 1 tablet and Kali mur 1 tablet in the morning and evening for 2-3 days..

homeodr 7 years ago
Hey-
So I gave him some Fer Phos the other day and it seemed to perk him back up considerably ...as far as the fever goes.
The nightly congestion kind of turned into a dry, nasally snoring.
His nightly waking, and waking with crying and screaming persists, although last night he was feeling brave enough to go to sleep in his own bed while I went into my own bed (a few feet away). He has done this one time before; I think I would chock it up to a random occurrence.

His daytime fit-throwing has calmed down a bit, but so has my need to be on the computer and handling stressful things, i.e. I have more attention to give him, hence less opportunity for the fits. His general attitude is about the same.

I have noticed a dramatic increase (over the last two weeks) in his attempted vocabulary, and his grasping of things that I tell him or ask him.

rom109 7 years ago
Bumping in case you lost track of the thread.
:) thanks

rom109 7 years ago
Ok..
So it seems he has improved in terms of fever however his general attitude still seems to be persistent.

It is good to know that he attempted vocabulary and grasping things...

Have you given him kali mur 6X along with Ferr phos?
