Someone once told me that eating pork while using homeopathy can cause aggravations....is that a thing even??
I do kind of feel like whenever I have pork I feel not so good but idk if its a coincidence or not...??
What do you think?

You are a Vata individual.

If you want to know the truth.

Check holisticonline.com under ayurveda section and post scores.

You would be mighty surprised.

Pork is worst form of meat you can consume. It is most Tamsik.

-Rom -- I don't think eating pork can cause aggravation, however it may act as an antidote or may interfere with the treatment. Hence it is usually recommended to avoid having pork during the treatment. Also Pork is difficult to digest and that may make you little sick.
It is better to avoid eating pork however I never force people to completely stop eating.

Thanks Homeodr,
I am trying to avoid it now, for sure. Trial and error I guess :)

Cosmicweaver no thank you
Or the other person...not interested.

Hey so I'm wondering what my next step should be.
My period ended about four days ago; I've been in a pretty good mood, especially towards my husband, I've noticed some improvements to my sensitivity. He asked me a question the other night that usually irritates and offends me and I just laughed and it didn't matter like any other question. That's a big deal. Little things like that are still on the rise. :)

However I have been having a hard time with wanting to wake up in the morning. I'm not so dead tired that I can't, but I just feel like I really don't want to get up. And I don't want to do stuff--it all feels like too much again.
I do feel sleepy during the day...I feel like I'm heading into a slump... I just want to go curl up on the couch and be extraordinarily lazy. It's hard to get motivated but once I start moving then it gets a little better unless I stop moving for even a minute.
I sort of feel like I get very agitated in the evening because that's when my husband gets home and I have to pack his lunch and clean up the kitchen and eat dinner and I just want to sit down with him and not do any of that stuff.
So the agitation is like I'm trying to hurry up and get it all done and by the time I'm in bed I'm quite wound up and have a difficult time getting my mind to shut off.
Anyways I guess that stuff is probably normal per my situation.
Is it time for another dose?

rom109 7 years ago
Hi,

It seems last dose of Nat mur is still showing some improvement, I would suggest not to take any more doses until you feel the problem has relapsed or stopped showing any further progress in terms of improvement.
I think sleepiness should also go away soon, and you may start feeling bit energetic as well.

redose can be taken only if the improvement stops or in your case if you start getting irritated towards your husband.

I have been getting irritated at people in general the last three ish days. I just don't want to deal with them.

I think a lot of the positive changes are showing as situations present themselves. So maybe not to say that things are still changing but that the change is only eventually being given opportunity to show.

I've also got thanksgiving coming up and we're going out of town and I am really not looking forward to it. I have to go shopping and prep a lot of food and I really don't want to. It's just too much.
Also I feel like I might be getting sick. My ears itch inside and my throat kind of hurts a little. Also i feel like I'm getting a UTI.

I had a talk with my husband last night and decided that the right thing for our family would be to sell my horse this summer. This is a major change for me. I have never been able to "let go" of him. I feel frustrated and indifferent towards the idea of having a horse ever since the farrier appointment. I've been waiting for the irritation to go away but it's not.

Here's just some thoughts I'm working through....

My husband has been in a really great mood the last few weeks; we've been getting along fantastically, and connecting/talking really well and a lot lately.

In other words, he has not been really giving me any reason to be irritated or sad towards him. Other than leaving his dirty socks on the floor...but that doesn't count. lol

So I can agree to my irritation returning being a relapse, but the irritation was never for no reason. So that begs the question(s)...should we be looking for a specific situation/person irritation, or more of an abstract situational response?

I think if he was still being in a depressed/repressed mode, I would still be feeling very similarly sad and upset towards him.
Part of my healing has much to do with the relationship status between us.

All this is to say, I hope you're not oversimplifying "wait till you get irritated at your husband again" because that is so subjective.....do you know what I mean?

Maybe that same irritation I feel can be directed towards anyone at any point because it's not just a specific person, it's my reaction towards specific stimulus?? Which makes some sense since I don't get much stimulus....??

Back to the horse thing for a sec, to clarify, I came to the decision that I wanted to sell pretty much after the day I was very irritated and the bad news from the farrier. Last night I just decided it wasn't a temporary feeling and was time to discuss with my husband.

rom109 7 years ago
I am being not subjective here, sorry if you felt so.

I think you are being stressed out due to the thought of selling your horse. You have been so attached to your horse that its difficult to let it go.

I would suggest to take a single dose again. If the solution is still there take a dose after succussing it.

How is your general appetite and thirst?

homeodr 7 years ago
No, I meant it's subjective for me....maybe not the right choice of word....:/

Yes the horse situation is bothering me. But not in the sense that you're thinking.
I am more so just really surprised at myself that it is such an easy decision all of the sudden.
I'm worried that I'm somehow not being true to myself right now and will really regret this down the road.

Anyhow, I went ahead and just made a new batch of Nat M.
.....and another dose down the hatch.
Also today I went to my doctor and she gave me an herbal tincture, probiotics, and a few supplements to combat this UTI. Just so you're aware :)

Thanks and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving (if you celebrate :) )

Oops forgot to answer your questions.
Appetite is OK. I have a weird relationship with food during the day. I feel like I'm always searching for something that my body is craving....and then I eat whatever I find and then feel worse for it almost.

I pick sparingly at food during the day then I have a big plate of dinner in the evening.
Thirst is average. I have to make myself drink water.

Well it turns out I'm allergic to something my dr gave me. I'm assuming it's most likely the Hydrasis in the herbal tincture, as I already know I'm allergic to goldenseal.

So since yesterday I've been developing a case of hives. They started on my stomach kind of over my ribs on the left and went over to the right and then came up on my mid/low back and traveled down from there and also up my chest. ....long story short, they're everywhere now.
They appear as red dots and feel bumpy. They're itchy and tingly like pins poking, and get more itchy with heat and with tight clothing.
My skin feels tight and dry especially where the hives are.
Obviously I'm discontinuing the herbal tincture, but I've still got this UTI, and now the hives.....what can I do?
(Ps I do now have nat mur 200, for future reference)

rom109 7 years ago
Rom,

Am assuming you have those uti test strips from the drug store and are testing yourself every other day to see if uti is clearing or getting worse.

I have tried homeopathy 3times for uti and thought it better but then seemed to return slightly(went to dr and it had gotten way worse but I just could not feel it due to remedies.

Finally gave in to antibiotics, even with those I had to get stronger ones bc the uti had gone on for 3months.

So even if I ever have one again and use remedies I am Going to monitor it with test strips.

simone717 7 years ago
Homeodr,

Just kidding the hives do not get worse with heat. I tested it with my seat warmer. Cold seems to aggravate.

Simone,
No I don't have test strips. I'm taking the AZO stuff that turns ur urine orange so they wouldn't work anyhow. My ND dr is monitoring my UTI, right now I am more concerned with the hives/allergic reaction treatment with homeopathy.
If it covers my UTI too, then cool.
I've had enough in my life to know the game.
Thanks though.

rom109 7 years ago
Also Simone, just to let you know,
I come here for homeopathic advice to help my general health, and I know that remedies have significant healing power, but I do not by any means solely rely on this forum for my health, nor do I come here first if it is a serious issue.
I will be calling my dr on Monday first thing, no doubt. I use remedies in tandem with other necessary medicines, and common sense.
I know classic homeopathy rules say "no other medicine whatsoever" but that would only be applicable under the strict and personal supervision of an incredibly experienced homeopath.
Online, I do try to adhere to the classic rules, but sometimes it's not realistic.

I appreciate your concern!

Hi rom,

Take single dose of Apis 30c or 200c whichever is handy..

homeodr 7 years ago
Glad you are taking care of yourself!

simone717 7 years ago
You are not just allergic to goldenseal you are allergic to bitter taste in general that means all bitter herbs and food would trigger allergy.

Check for yourself.

Teupne 7 years ago
Teupne,

What makes sense to me is that the active medicinal chemical(berberine) in Goldenseal which is also found (in higher quantity even) in Oregon Grape would cause a reaction of the same kind. If this chemical is found in other bitter herbs then I would expect a reaction to them as well.

However to say I am just allergic to al bitters because of your belief in Ayurvedic does not hold water for me.
As I have no allergic reaction to any lettuce, chamomile, milk thistle (which my body actually really loves), or echinacea, to name a few other bitters I've taken.

I come here for homeopathy and am not interested in Ayurvedic. I can appreciate your passion and if it works for your body then I am not knocking that. Be healthy in your way.
Please stop trying to convince me of it though. I already said I was not interested.

Ok

Atleast I tried in my own honest way to make sense and give pointers towards a possible pattern.I appreciate your response. You are forthright. I don't mean to interfere.

Good luck,

Teupne

Okay,
So I didn't end up taking any Apis. By the time I got home the reaction was starting to diminish as I stopped taking the tincture. Also I found a bottle of Nettles in my cupboard that I had been taking through the summer for seasonal allergies, so I took a few doses of that, and ithe hives are gone.

Turns out it was not a UTI after all. It was actually a herpes outbreak. Lesions in just the right spot triggering extreme bladder sensitivity. That too is going away now.

It's been a week since last Nat M dose. The time I spent at my moms was actually really nice. I was not uncomfortable at all and ended up really enjoying myself and my moms company.
The backstory to my moms house is one steeped in the pain of my parents divorce when I was 13-14 years old and my moms partner who was very psychotic and emotionally abusive, as was my mom too. A lot has changed since then. I have not been to her house since before I got married (9 years ago).
Anyways none of these things were really on my mind at all. And they're not so much now, I just wanted to tell you the significance of the event.

The last few days of being back home have been kind of "bla" for me. I can't seem to get much done.
Everything seems so messy and I just want to consolidate all the junk and throw it away. My husband seems to bring in pilesof things and puts them everywhere I am trying to clear off and I've run out of more appropriate places to move his stuff to and it's incredibly disheartening to see a messy pile growing on the dining table that I'm trying to clear off so that we can actually use it as a dining table.....things like that.
Sometimes I wish I could get him to take Natrum Mur so he doesn't want to hang on to useless junk that 'might be important later' lol.......just kidding.

Anyways....that was just a rant.

rom109 7 years ago
Good to know that hives are gone now and you had good time with your mom..
Quick question, have you suffered from Herpes outbreak in past or is this the first time?

I understand how you feel when you see the messed up house. This is completely normal feeling. In this case, I think your husband need to understand to keep the things at right place.
I am sure if you talk to him regarding this he will understand it.

How is you sleep pattern now?

homeodr 7 years ago
I have had herpes outbreak before.

Lol no my husband does not stop the putting of things in random places. I have tried to tell him many times. He's like a squirrel...or a little kid I go behind him cleaning up all the time. Lol

My sleeping has been ok ish. My son has actually slept through the night a few times in the last two weeks so that helps a lot. But I sleep very deeply and feel as though I am in a heavy drugged state that is very difficult to come out of. If I don't make myself get up around 6:30-7:30 am then I feel terrible all day, but it seems like if I wake up in between that time frame I can shake that drugged feeling a bit, even though I am still tired.
If I sleep too long I also often develop a headache that is difficult to get rid of all day.

One thing that's different is this outbreak is going on for almost three weeks now. The most it has ever been is 7 days.
The majority of the UTI symtopms have gone but I still get the intense cutting pain after urination. Also urine is very cloudy. Don't know what that means--dr says don't have an infection and I've been drinking at least a 1/2 gallon of water a day. :/
