Silica and Scars. What is Silica? What are Acne Scars??? _{Page 14 of 26}

Dr. Kuldeep:

Could you PLEASE give me some advice from your past ecperiences? You sound very knowledgable about silica and its effects. Again, here is my situation:

1) Made the homemade silica for scars as you said. 3 drops, 3x per day. My acne was not too bad at the time.

2) After a week or so, scars faded and the little bit of acne I did have went away almost completely. This much desired effect lasted almost two months.

3) About the 2 month mark, I broke out BAD in nodular acne around the chin, cheeks, and jawline that seemed to stay put with NOTHING able to rid of them.

4) I have been off silica for 3 months and all of those bumps deep under the skin are finally but slowly coming out in large, pussy zits, causing more scars, of course.

Should I ever take silica again? It seemed to have caused the worsed case of acne I've ever had in my life.

Should I change the dose? Should I just stop all together? What is YOUR experience with cases like this???????

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW, DR. KULDEEP! I am now left with even more scarring than before, yet I also know that silica can work.

Thanks for replying, Dr. Kuldeep!!! I really appreciate your help. I will try the silica 30.....is that 30x or 30c? Have you known of cases like mine where this higher potency worked, without causing further breakouts like the homemade stuff did????

I'm just curious as to whether this is guess, or if you have actually known of others who went through what I did with the homemade silica....Man, those first two months on the homemade silica worked wonders......it's really too bad that it made such a drastic turn for the worse in my case.

When silica is taken in regard to acne scars (sunken atrophic scars, pitted scars, etc) are we talking about minimal improvement at best, or are we talking about eradication of the scarring??

I have been taking silicea 6C for about one month and have seen no progress in the scarring at all.

Please give me further instructions.

Hmm this is just what I had, my skin is still worse now then ever in my life because of all the scars I got during the 3 months I did silicea, I thought it was the hormones causing all the severe acne I got but now Im thinking again that it might be silicea, Im scared to stop taking it (and live with all these marks forever) or carry on taking it and maybe get all the bad stuff again, Im so hopeless with all this because something in the last 6 months has ruined my life, whether it was silicea I don't know. It will be several years I expect now before my skin is looking like it was pre-silicea :(

Beaker! It's K.K.--the one that you are quoting, who is in the exact same boat as you are? Thanks for keeping me posted on your progress (or lack of). It's just comfirming what I am suspecting....for people like us, silica CAUSES acne. I have had some success in the past week, after struggling with this same problem for months. I went OFF the silica, went to a homeopathic store, and got a bottle of "Acne Relief by Natura-Bio". It is a mix of homeopathic remedies for acne--belladona, ledum palustre, sulphur, graphites, bromium, hepar sulphur, etc. I have been on it for not even a week and my acne is definitely clearing up. It is not all gone yet, but I am noticing a drastic improvement every day(also, my scars are looking better too!!!!). I also went to get a chemical peel from a dermatoligist, and they first poked my under-the-skin bumps with a sterilized needle, and extracted the zits before applying the peel (otherwise, the peel just causes them to break out bigger). This may be what you have to do for those stubborn ones that are under the skin and stay there for months.

Last night, I got my man back (I'm not kidding)!!! Let me know if you can find this Acne Relief stuff......and go off the silica!!!!

Im a guy and have not noticed silica causing any nodular acne. I guess it all depends on the person. Im off of it right now because Im too lazy to make another batch. but dont discourage other people from trying it. If the silica is really causing your acne then I guess certain people are prone to that.

Hi - I am new to this forum so have a lot to learn about many of the things you talk about. I have been using a very good microdermabrasion cream that is working great on my scars and red marks - can I use Silica in conjunction with this? I just buy Silica 30 from a health food store? How much do I take per day?

hey kuldeep... well i tried homemade silica for abt 1month.... it was working for first 2weeks... but then my skin got really oily... now i am not using silica... but my skin is still very... very.. oily... i have tried different kinds of face wash... soaps... but nothing helped... plz lemme knw wt do u suggest... thnx

I had taken 3 months ago Hepur sulf 30 (hourly dose) for 12-14 days as per Dr.kuldeep's "silica & scars" post for acne treatment.At that time constipation became horrible.I went to toilet only 3 times in 14 days.As my acne dried up i stopped the dosage.After 15 days some symptoms occured.These are-

1] Light pain in anus while sitting position.
2] Often feeling of pressure to go to toilet.
3] In a week 1 or 2 days become discomfortable because i feel something secreting from anus but there is nothing.after that secreting feeeling i feel better than before.and this situation repeating in a week once.
4]No outgrowths in anus,no blood,burning.
5]urine flow become poor during so called feeling of secreting pus/sticky materials.

I'm very afraid -is it fistula/pilesor other thing.Please help me............sunny

Yeah, sure, silica works for your face in the first month. It seems to be a miracle remedy. I was taking it for four months and for the first month, I thought that I had found the "fountain of youth". My acne cleared, my scars looked much better, and I lost about 10 pounds ( I was only 130 lbs. to begin with). I didn't even have to exercise anymore and I became so CUT! Then after two months, I got severe, severe panic attacks, bouts of vertigo (room spinning), constipation, and my acne became worse than ever in my life. Are there side effects to homeopathic medicine--absolutely. Nobody is going to convince me that there was some other cause to these things--it was all too much of a coincidence that all these things happened in my few months on silica. Initially, the effects of silica were just "too good to be true".

Beaker, I have not had much more improvement since my last post, unfortunately. I have had another bout. Along with the acne Relief tablets, I have also been seeing someone at a skin/laser clinic (they do peels, microdermabrasions, laser surgeries, etc.) I have been going there for four years (for glycolic peels and acne products), and they said that they are totally confused with how bad my skin had gotten (since silica). They also said that they have never faced this much of a challenge in aiding someone's acne problem. This last time, they tried this new "blue light" treatment to kill acne bacteria. It did help. I will go back for more. She needed to extract so many acne bumps first, though. She has been dealing with acne sufferers for over ten years and is amazed at how stubborn and severe my acne has become since she first met me four years ago.

Trust me, if this homemade silica remedy stayed as good as it did for the first month, I'd stay on it forever. It WAS a miracle. I am now left with more acne, and about four times more scars than before I started it.

My doctor had to put me on Lorazipam for my panic attacks (and since being off silica, I haven't had to take one), anti-vertigo medication, (which I haven't needed to take since being off silica) and I haven't been constipated since being off silica. I gained my 10 pounds back.

Before I started taking silica, I had a few scars on each cheek. The number of scars I have NOW have multiplied by about four times in the past 7 months. I am 30 years old--this should NOT have happened!!!!!!!!!
What do I do NOW about the extreme number of scars that I am left with??????????

I have tried since then, as well, the homeopathic 30x silica. It did nothing for me, but also no side effects.

Should I discourage people from trying homemade silica???--absolutely.

Wow! I just read this whole thread and my opinion on Silica is to STAY AWAY! There is not one person on here who came back with miracle results. My redmark cure/acne scar help has only been with pure-fused corundum crystals that are heated up to 4,000 degrees and then mixed with essential oils and botanicals. I won't dare put TCA peels on my face. I've heard too many nightmares about them. Anyway, I recommend the full jar of this stuff from microdermx.citymax.com You will see REAL before/afters of people which I don't think the Silica people would want to even show their face to anyone!! Who disappointed I was to read and waste my time on this thread!!!

silica caused nothing to me as mentioned by curious123. so everyone at least give it a try. im sorry to it did not work out for him.

I too have been worried about the effects of 3 months of silicea lasting long after I stopped taking it. However, I have recently stopped again after a few weeks back on it. I will never try it again, it's just too much of a risk. My acne has clamed down a lot now I've stopped, Im hoping in a few months it will have stopped completely and in 2-3 years my skin will be back to pre-silicea in terms of red marks etc. Im gonna have to go back to regular skin peels etc. again tho to achieve this.

Thank you for acknowldeging my series of misfortunes after taking silica. If you do ever hear of other cases like mine, please keep the forum posted on any successful remedies for post-silica acne and scarring.

Beaker, if you go for any peels, ask about blue light treatments. I just got one for the first time and it killed alot of the small bumps (they'll have to manually extract them first!).

The scars that you and I are left with now are a BIG problem, but it won't take as long as 2-3 years to get your acne under control again. Give it a month or two, with a couple of peels/ extractions, or perhaps the blue light treatments if you can. (both have helped bring be somewhat back to what I used to.) Have more hope!

On the down side, I realize that silica was dirt cheap as opposed to all of these expensive treatments I am talking about.....in the end, silica ended up costing me a fortune!!!

As far as the scarring...I still hope to someday figure out how I can heal them. We can keep eachother posted on our "mad search to be able to proudly show our faces again".
