Last night and yesterday's naps were pretty rough. She resisted napping without nursing to the point of crying with deep frustration until picked up. I'd pick her up repeatedly and nurse *a little* and then put her down before she'd fall asleep. It has worked the past few days when her naps were fussy, but it was not as successful yesterday. She cried in protest a lot which isn't great for the nervous system regulation issue. At bed time it was similar. She didn't want to roll around and fall back into pillows likes she had the past five nights. She really wanted to nurse and cried and cried each time I put her back down. Then she woke all night long in two hour blocks. If I were able to fall asleep while she nurses it wouldn't be as much of an issue since she can find the breast all on her own. I'm just too light a sleeper for that (unless you have a suggestion). I don't think I have eaten anything that might have reversed the remedy. It's just so inconsistent.

Thanks.

Thank you. I think I can get the 200 today. If so, still do 30 first?

Thank you!

If you can get the 200 give it.
Can you upload a photo of your daughter to my email ? It will be like seeing the patient in person.

Sadly, last night was pretty awful. She was given the 200c at noon. Her 12:30 nap was alright although she needed nursing after the first cycle. The next nap didn't happen as I have up after an hour of trying. Getting her to bed was pretty bad too. Lots and lots of crying.

She woke every two hours until 1 and needed to nurse to get back to sleep. Then every 10-30 minutes for two hours needing to nurse. She talked in her sleep, sat up five times during those two hours and cried if she didn't get to nurse right away. Then she went back to waking every two hours after that and wanting to nurse.

She seems a bit more frustrated during the days since not nursing to sleep. She also is becoming a little angry when she sees the bed. She is also sometimes a little resistant when I pick her up which she has never been. During naps and at night, I lay her down and it seems like that is what she hates the most. She wants to crawl and roll and I keep laying her down telling her it's time to sleep.

Her bowel movements smell worse the last few days too.

That's all I have noticed. I sent the photos.

Thank you.

Hello,

She was give the sepia yesterday. Sleep was the same with frequent waking but she woke at 4am for an hour and a half. She either nursed or played during that time. When she settled to sleep again, she laughed as she fell asleep.

Putting her to sleep the past two nights has been tricky. She does the rolling around routine but gets more and more (happily) amped. I put her down, she rolls and crawls until I put her down again, and we do this back and forth for 40 minutes. Then I get tired and put her down and hold her chest with one hand while jiggling my hand to try and distract her from sitting up or rolling again. She frees herself two or three times but then does fall asleep within a few minutes of this routine. So being held down and jiggled lightly is now required to get her to sleep. Not sure this is better than nursing. I'm having no caffeine--rarely do but I wonder if she is drinking coffee when I'm not looking :)

She is absolutely refusing to stay on her back for diaper changes. Rolling and arching her back. Otherwise she seems less frustrated. Except in the cars seat--still very upset by that.

She is purposely and playfully banging her head into the walls. It's lightly enough that she seems ok but hard enough to make a banging noise.

She is talking baby talk a lot and she seems like she got taller this week. One tooth is juuuuuust cutting the gum a tiny bit as well.

This may sound weird, but as I lay my hand on her just after she fell asleep, I got a sense of her before birth. She was induced and I ultimately took the epidural. No one checkled on me for three hours once I had the epidural because it was 4am and I fell asleep. When they did check on me, her hair was poking through and it was time to push although the process got delayed another half hour, and it was about an hour and twenty minutes later that she was born. The sense I had when putting her to sleep was that she was in that crowning position ready and being contracted for a while was I slept. Something about it is still trickling through her nervous system. She did have a misshapen head when born because of being in that spot for too long--the top side of her head was swollen. It went away around the time the sleep trouble started (8 weeks). My husband and I both do a reiki style qi gong so I try to listen to these senses but it may or may not be helpful to you.

Thanks for your continued help.

Let's see whether sepia works.it will take a few days to confirm. Reiki is OK.

Hi Cailanna,

Have you ever tried Medorrhinum for your child?

Stomach; vomiting; incessant; pregnancy, in - Med

Med also has:
Mind; pull, desires to; hair
Head; motions; of; rolling head
Extremities; lower limbs; raising limbs; amel.
Sleep; falling asleep; difficult; children, in
Head; perspiration

Medorrhinum it's a good remedy for children especially for those who wake up frequently for nursing.

I apologies to telescope for interfering and I hope the above information will help. I am just a mother who understand the position of Cailanna and I just want to help.

Thank you both for understanding.

Hello,

Thank you for the thoughtfulness. I have not tried that one. I see telescope is interested. I am wondering how to proceed now and if antedoting is needed on anything before going forward. Forgive my ignorance.

Last night's sleep was a four hour stretch, followed by nursing, then three hours followed by nursing and being awake for an hour and a half from 2-3:30am. She wanted to crawl and talk during that time. Then she finally nursed to sleep again and slept two more hours and was up to nurse some more but couldn't fall back to sleep for more than fifteen minutes. It seemed as though nursing wasn't helping her fall asleep and that she was tired but couldn't figure out how to fall asleep again. She also had has more trouble falling asleep for naps and at bedtime. Her rolling around game doesn't seem to be working for her and she has forgotten how to close her eyes and sleep.

Also, her limbs were twitchy and her latch has been tight these past two nights. Nursing hurts a little because of the tight latch and it has been many months since she has had a bad latch. She has bitten me a few times on the nipple too. This behavior has been going on for about two weeks. During the day, she knows she is doing it and she thinks it's funny. I read it can be a sign of affection. During the day, it is very light. At night though, it comes after the tight latch and I think it's involuntary. It hurts.

I'm so pleased that she is getting a couple of longer stretches of sleep. She is also moving around a lot less. Her initial symptoms included all that rolling of the body and shaking of the head and kicking of the legs, plus sitting up. She rolls sooooo much less and doesn't kick her legs very often. Waking for a hour and a half two nights in a row is unfortunate as she wasn't waking for blocks of time very often in the past; just a rare night.

I am definitely haggard at this point. I am trying to see if she can figure it out on her own which leads to crying now. It seemed like she was on the path to figuring it out when she was doing her rolling around sequence prior to falling asleep for a week. But now that seems to amp her up instead of tire her out. And I don't know how much crying to allow without making her more tense and possibly keeping her from falling back to sleep more easily. I can see that the cying isn't really helping to tire her so I'd rather she not but I'm getting so tired.

Well, I think that's it.

Thank you again.

Hi Cailanna,

No need for antidoting sepia. Telescope will gide you further and will decide when you should try Medorrhinum.

Best regards,

Hello,

Last night was the standard every two hour wake up from bedtime onlmX h. Towards morning it was every hour and then on and off in five minute increments for an hour until I finally just held her whole nursing instead of side lying so she'd get one more full sleep cycle. Lots of rolling around towards morning. She needs to nurse to sleep for naps and bedtime again so the fantastic week of putting herself to sleep seems to have ended.

She hasn't had a bowel movement in over 36 hours which is rare.

That's it.

Thank you!

Give her Sulphur 30 one dose again.

telescope 8 years ago
Do not eat or drink anything sour yourself or give to your baby. Sour things antidote homeopathic medicine.

telescope 8 years ago
Ok. Thank you. I haven't eaten sour in a while.

She was given the sulphur 30c yesterday.

Last night she initially slept 4.5 hours and then nursed. Then two hours and nursed. From 1-3am it was every hour. From 3-7am it was every 15-30 minutes. It seems like she wants to fall asleep and can't. She would whimper a little each time. Either because she is in pain or tired. I can't tell.

She pooped after the sulphur and twice today so that's back on track.

Do you want me to buy Medorrhinum?
Thank you

Cailanna 8 years ago
Not right now. Stay away from sour things and see if things improve.

telescope 8 years ago
Ok. Thank you.

Last night (Sunday), she woke every two hours to nurse until 4 and then from 4-7 it was every 30 minutes.

Tuesday (tomorrow--or today depending on when you read this) she has a vaccine shot. How should I use the Thuja you recommended?

Thank you

Cailanna 8 years ago
After the vaccine any time.
Give it after say one hour.

telescope 8 years ago
Hello,

The baby got her vaccination yesterday. I gave her Thuja one hour after her vaccination. We also had an epsom salt bath. She became extremely hyper as the day progressed. Two hours after going to bed she woke up fully awake for 40 minutes wanting to play and crawl. Then she woke multiple times every hour to nurse as she was in discomfort.

This morning she is still in discomfort and wants to be held a LOT.

Thank you!

Also, the puncture site is red. Is is the first time I haven't given her ledlum after a vaccination. They took some blood from a toe to measure hemoglobin too. Just three drops but it bled a little after.

Hello,

I gave her the sulphur yesterday. She slept the same waking every two hours sometimes more often. She didn't want to nurse as much though and didn't roll or sit up. She woke an hour and a half early, clearly still tired but wouldn't fall back to sleep. She whimpered when she woke each time. I can think of three things causing her pain that might be responsible for the whimpering.

1. That tooth still isn't all the way through. Just the very tip is poking through and has been for over a week. The others came in much faster once they poked through--within 24 hours the rest of the tooth would be pushing through.

2. Gas. She had some throughout the early morning. Maybe it hurt.

3. All this waking has me sick. I got a cold yesterday that came on fast. It started with some draining down the back of my throat that turned into pain upon swallowing and a congested nose. I took some Chinese herbs and the throat hurts less now and there is less drainage. I think I may have stopped it from progressing at least, but I still feeling chilly especially my head and back. Feet are not cold. Maybe her throat hurts during the night. I don't notice any congestion or drainage though so I doubt it.

I can get the other remedy today. I live near the homeopathic pharmacy. Should I wait until it's clear if she is going to get my cold?

Thanks for your help with this. Sorry it's such a difficult case. I'm not eating sour still.

Waiting is better. Buy calcarea phos 30 also.
