Tinnitus left ear ringing please help

Hello I need some help. I have extreme ringing in the left ear, it comes and goes but now has become too much I have had it for many years. I’m very sensitive to noise also especially sudden noise and mostly noses like the sound of dishes, kids screaming, bird chirping, etc. I have found a few remedies and am wondering if anyone has experience treating tinnitus with them one is salycilic acid, another chenopodium. But there maybe a better remedy for me would appreciate some guidance. Thank you
