Re: Mr. Udaya Kumar

5/1/20

Male
Age: 67, kapha dosha; think there might be some IBS-IBD problems but unsure. Whites of eyes are very blood-shot and yellowish color. Typical Kapha, with good disposition always content when in balance. Kind and always helpful. No alcohol or tobacco.

Parents divorced when very young, don’t know exact age. Children lived with father; father remarried. After a while, 2 older siblings moved to another country with mother. This individual stayed with father until his death at 44. Age 13 left to live with mother.

Hernia operation, age 12ish

Severe hayfever problems and was on a lot of steroid inhalers and other pills for many, many years.

About 20 years ago and before had lots of problems with allopatic diagnosis of hydrosis (excessive sweating in hands and feet; made him very uncomfortable because he had job that dealt with public and was uncomfortable with shaking people’s hands). Tried different treatments but mothering worked and eventually he met a neurogist who suggested a surgical procedure which would help; short story, something went wrong with surgery and a main nerve that connect to vocal cords was cut and it takes time for it to grow back and no one knows the rate at which it would grow back and how long that would take. He was off of work for about 6 months and eventually was able to regain his voice (nerve grew back) and problem seem to be gone. Other issues showed up like skin problems.

About 15 years ago, woke up and noticed that there was blood in urine and underwear was bloody. He was bleeding continuously through his penis. Went to ER and kept him there for a battery of tests (prostate, etc.). Shows prostate was slightly enlarged but not abnormally large and had referral to specialist. Did more tests and couldn’t find anything. Said that happens sometimes and would monitor him for next 3 years. No occurrence of the original incident, but sometimes, urine is just a little reddish (almost like lycop red in urine).

About 7 years ago, had a repeat of the same thing. Went through the whole testing thing again and had referral to another specialist. Couldn’t find anything to pinpoint and he was monitored again with no repeat episodes. Same thing continues with urine.

Used to be overweight (about 180 pounds) then 6 years ago started to watch diet more closely and exercise and lost most of weight. Was on cholesterol medicine (lovastatin) but has been off for 6 years. Has been within more normal ranges since that time.

BP (amlodipine – ¼ of 10 mg tablet); BP managed well with diet and exercise.

Lost mother about 1 month ago.

Main issues:
Has been losing weight for about 6 weeks now, but mom was in hospital since early January and it was a ways from where he lives so he had a lot going on. He also has some other areas connected to his mom that he is responsible for so he has been busy. Had been having some gassiness issues and used a Hylands combination formula with 3x lycopdium, ignatia & nux mochata. Had also been having a little constipation. I suggested nux for 3 days – sorry I shouldn’t have done that. Still has today to go.

3 days ago, woke up with no appetite and tummy didn’t feel right (his explanation was no pain or discomfort but didn’t feel right and had no desire for food). This lasted for 36 hours and then a bit better and able to eat a little more normally yesterday, but appetite is still not back to where it was. Energy has been low. Said he slept well last night.

Wakes up several times (varies by day) during night to empty bladder so sleep is usually disrupted. Day before, said there was slight burning in urine.

Problems with calves a bit (pain in) and I think that is a kidney-related energy. A little osteo-arthritis in knees.

I wanted your thoughts on homeopathic remedies to help correct miasms.

Thank you so much for your time.
