Coughing

Hello, My daughter 7 yr old is having very bad coughing since last 2-3 weeks. She always tends to catch cold and cough many times a year. She feels warm despite of cold weather and is coughing badly during night. Kindly suggest a remedy which can really work fast as she has to take leave from school on & off.
