9yo girl - frequent mouth ulcers, tummy pain, and coughing sensation
Wondering if some practicing pediatric homeopath has some suggestion. A 9yo girl, who is otherwise very bubbly, happy, energetic and a child with quite positive frequently has mouth ulcers in the insides of her cheeks. They heal and come back in new spot in 4-5 days. So far her remedy has been vitamin B-complex (pediatric) and periodic probiotic supplements.Also, from time to time (once in a month or 2 months) she'd report pain near her navel or just below it. We apply tiny bit of heated asafetida solution, 2 spoons of Colicaid (Dill oil, Fennel oil, Simethicone), get her to lie down and it goes away after an hour or so.
Lately (say for past 6-7 weeks) she seems to have an urge to cough (s.a. due to irritated throat), especially after meals, but it remains almost entire day. It is not continuous, but periodically. Cough lozenges seem to give some relief. While I am not 100% sure, but the place where we live is mild weathered, has several months of chilly mornings and late afternoons, frequent weather changes.
She eats reasonably clean and well (very limited junk food) as per general standards of kids these days, decent appetite, no fever etc. and sleeps well for 9-10hrs.
Above facts are mentioned to see if there are any interactions or relationships, but main issue I am writing about is the mouth ulcers, but anything for throat irritation would be useful.

Thank you so much Dr.Anuj Srivastava. I think that the colour of the ulcers is white/offwhite (or maybe very light grey -- bit hard to tell). I do have =Kali Phos 6x tablets and =Merc Sol 30CH dilution (and sugar globules -- are those called pellets as well) ?
Will order Kali Mur 6X and then start the regime. Will report as instructed.
By the way, one additional symptom (more recent) perhaps due to the irritation and dry cough is desire to drink more water. I hope it does not change the line of treatment.

Thank you sir. For Merc Sol, I have 30CH dilution but you prescribed 3 pellets. Any suggestion if I can make the sugar globules with the dilution, and if so how many globules (30mm ones).

Dr.Anuj sir, the treatment helped with the oral ulcers. The ulcers had healed completely by 4th day and no new ulcer were seen in last 3-4 days.
However, child continues to have this urge to cough a little, as if due to mild irritation and to clear throat. Happens almost anytime in the day, but seems more after meals. Anything that can be done for this persistent throat irritation ?
Also, is this treatment to be re-run if ulcers come back ? If so for same duration ?

Dr.Anuj Srivastava, sir the 4 day course of Kali Mur 6x was completed but the intermittent coughing did not subside. The child continues to cough intermittently. Absolute dry cough, no phlegm and looks like only throat irritation.
I suspect that she might have some periodic acid reflux. She gets hungry frequently and loves eating tidbits (not very large portions of quantity). What she eats is usually fruits but sometimes semi-junk snacks. Trying to get this habit improved. She does seem to bloat-up at times too, and has tummy pains, just below the navel area.
Do you think Carbo Veg might help her case ? Only suggesting it because it was proposed for tummy issues some 3-4 years back, which did seem to help her at that time.

In addition to KM give Nat Phos 6x three times a day and a feedback after 4 days.

Dr.Anuj, sorry about the delay. Had to undertake a travel and by mistake the child had to discontinue medications. However the child's throat troubles have increased. One small mouth ulcer near her gums too is back.
Now she reports pain near the Adam's apple region, the urge to cough to clear throat has increased, she reports slight burning sensation and discomfort when drinking warm water. It was bad enough that she was afraid to drink water this evening, though eventually she had it.
During the travel we only had access to allopathic doctor who had prescribed her what seems like anti-allergic and an expectorant syrup. We did it for a week, but didn't help at all. Now that we are back home we can resume necessary homepathic medications. The throat troubles are really troubling her now.

Sincere thanks for your attention to this case. Sir, I have Ferrum Phos 3x, and rest of the prescribed medicines. Any chance 2-3 tablets of Ferrum Phos 3x might be acceptable alternative to Ferrum Phos 6x? Else will place order.

Dr.Anuj sir, reporting back after 3.5days. We notice remarkable improvement, and the issue is 60-70% gone in terms of her throat discomfort and coughing frequency. The small ulcer on the inside of her guma is also healing. Since the results seem to be positive, shall we continue for a bit longer?

Dr.Anuj sir, reporting back on status but got a bit delayed. The mouth ulcer issue is resolved, however the intermitten coughing, throat dryness sensation which had improved to almost 70% has sort of relapsed. During this time, the prescribed medicines have been administered religiously.
Sharing some of my recent observations about the child and the problem.
- Child doesn't have the coughing sensation (or rather the urge to clear throat) during sleep
- Coughing sensation seems to increase after meals
- Coughing sensation seems to be slightly more at night, and when lying down
- Child does breathe through mouth when sleeping
- Child has decent appetite, sleeps well, is otherwise playful, cheerful and bubbly
- Once in a while she does have some stomach ache around/just below navel area. Most recent incidence was 2 days back, after a gap of about a month. There was a time when she used to have that ache almost every other day.
- Her stools seem mostly normal, tending towards hard (trying to get her to drink more water)
If there a change in coure of treatment you might like to prescribe ? The prolonged cough, throat irritation is the thing that is bothering us the most.

Dr.Anuj - reporting back. This time unfortunately there is no noticeable improvement. The coughing sensation (child reports it as dryness) increases after meals, and bit more on lying down.

Sure sir, will do so tomorrow after getting the medicine. Can I give it in sucrose globules form ? If so, administer 5-6 globules ?

Dr.Anuj sir, reporting back after 2 days. Drosera 30 in small sucrose globules form was administered on saturday afternoon (single dose only) and it is about 48 hours since. Same day, did not observe much difference, but next day and till now today, I think there is a 25% improvement that I think I could notice. Kindly guide on way forward.
