Artemesia Vulgaris has already been prescribed by the Homeopathic Doctor in India and the medicines are on their way to Rahul. In the mean time I spoke again to his father who says that there has been not much change since 24th Nov. As of yesterday he has resumed Arnica till the time the medicines arrive which should be by next week. I have convinced him not to loose hope in homeopathy as I am sure Rahul will improve as much as he had earlier.
Also Artemesia Vulgaris is for the seizures as well, I confirmed that with the Homeopathic doc in India who prescribed it.
Joe what dose of Arnica do you suggest after reading my post, please reply.

I shall copy my post to you in answer to your query:
I am concerned to note that Rahul has had a couple of seizures. I do not think that the Arnica could have caused it but if you have the slightest doubt you are advised to stop using it.
I presume that these seizures were due to the brain trying to readjust itself but the sad news is that he is withdrawn to the state he was originally in, which was considerably improved by the Arnica therapy.
Since we have already seen the results that Arnica made in his recovery I would not hesitate to give it to him but the parents should be the best judges.
It occurs to me that we can use a lower potency Arnica 30c for Rahul and increase the dosage to a teaspoonful given 3 times daily as this will work better on a physical level which hopefully will help his body to recover.
I would recommend the Artemesia Vulgaris prescribed by your Indian homeopath for the seizures.
Let us try the Arnica 30c in the water dose 3 times daily and see the response.

Dungi - If Rahul has not yet taken the ARTEMISIA VULGARIS - then that does sound like the right remedy for the seizures.
I also took the Arnica several times a day - along with the Ignatia 30c especially during my hardest days.
The Arnica will help heal his brain faster and not allow more damage to develop. The Ignatia will help balance his mood swings so that he is not so violent. When my dad had a stroke, they found out that the meds they gave him were making him very aggressive so they switched the medicine and he was more calm. But the Ignatia 30c several times a day should help Rahul.
These were the things that helped me and I was very sick myself - that is why I share with you.
I also took the Arnica several times a day - along with the Ignatia 30c especially during my hardest days.

The medicine finally reached Rahul last week. But in the mean time his father kept giving him 5 drops of Arnica daily. After the seizures the doctors had put him back on anti seizure medicine. But during the seizues the Arnica had been stopped.
Since then only with Arnica and other anti seizure medicines on Friday 9th December Rahul spoke for the first time. He recognized his family and spoke a few words but in monosyllables and keeps complaining that I am in pain which means that the nerves are now slowly growing back.
He raises his neck but cant hold it for more than a few seconds and it falls down. There are no leg or hand movements yet.
The doctors will be changing the medicine to relax his muscles and hence his parents are hesitant to start the additional homoepathic medicines they have just received as they do not want to experiement with 2 new sets of medicines simultaneously i.e homeopathic and allopathic, but they are still continuing with Arnica.
There is still a lot of improvement to be achieved and I request everyone to say special prayers for him whenever they can as I believe collective prayers are very powerful.
Will update the forum shortly. In the meantime I would appreciate all your comments.

Hypericum can be a powerful painkiller- his parents may wish to try it (30c only when needed=when he is in pain) in addition to what he takes now.

Thanks for your encouragement. Rahul has started eating in very small quantities and answers when asked question, but does not try on his own to question or talk. He only complains of pain.
His parents are waiting for his body to get acustomed to the new medication before introducing Rahul to any more homeopathy apart from Arnica.
But they really appreciate your suggestions and encouragement for using homeopathy.
Please keep praying especially during this Festive Season for Rahul.

I am glad that the Arnica continues to help Rahul. I understand that he has been on many drugs which have also helped him to recover from this tragedy. It is interesting to note however that it was after the Arnica 1M was administered to him that he responded in a week. Please inform the patents that it is important that this remedy is given to him daily as I believe that the Arnica 1M was a life saver.
I would not recommend that other Homeopathic remedies are given to him as I do not believe that a cocktail of remedies can do any good. However if you would like to have a Homeopathic remedy to help him with his pain I can recommend one but prior to doing so I would like to know what drugs and homeopathic remedies are now being given to him. I would also like to have a report of his seizures and what drug is used to control this problem.
In a previous post I requested you to get a regular record of his progress and I am still awaiting it. It is in the boy's own interest that you should persuade the parents to give this report regularly.
I would also like to have details of his accident and what other injuries he suffered from.
I am confident that Arnica 1M should continue to help him and I would prefer if the drugs that are now being used for his seizure can be slowly discontinued as they may interfere with his progress.

Joe, I have posted all the medicines that are being given to Rahul as you requested. He continues to improve but slowly. Can speak a few words when he feels like it. He is presently in a rehab clinic and under treatment. Arnica is still being continued.

I am glad to note that Rahul continues with his progress. I presume that his doctors discovered that it is their own drugs that caused the seizures due to over dosage and experimenting with drugs. This is quite common in medical practice. I know that they do so out of good intentions but at this stage, I believe that Rahul's body should be permitted to take over and be permitted to bring him back to normal life.
I am confident that the Arnica 1M should help him as it has done in a few similar cases that I have treated.
I do wish that I can see his medical report as unless there is some life threatening problem that requires treatment with drugs, I feel that he should be left to recover on his own as he has done for the last few months.
You have not indicated so far how he got into this state. You stated that it was an accident. Was it a motor accident and if so what was done during the 2 months when he was in a coma ? Any bones broken ?

No other injuries or broken bones. it was a car accident in which he was speeding and lost control of his car. it hit a barrier and he was thrown out of the car hit his head on the barrier and then on the rebound hit the other side of his head causing the immediate coma for 2 months. Only brain scans were carried which showed the brain damage but the stem cell was not damaged.
Arnica was then started after posting on the forum and being continued since then except durng the seizures.
He is improving weekly but very slight changes. He can speak on his own now and there is slight movement in his hand only. Other information is as posted on the forum before.
There is a lot of physiotherapy involved daily to which his nerves are responding.

Hi Joe,
Rahul has been discharged from the rehab clinic and is at home, but recovery is very very slow, he still cannot hold his head up but can speak, his right hand moves a bit but no movement to his left side. He is still undergoing a lot of physiotherapy, but no further progress till date.

It is unfortunate that Dungi did not reply my last post addressed to him in 2006 as Rahul was one of my star patients whom I was able to help with my 'Joepathy' which you may be aware differs from Classical Homeopathy which I too used to practice originally but was sadly disillusioned with the results.
