Has anybody ever tried using "ARNICA mother Tincture" mixed with regular oil (Cocunut / Olive oil) to be put on scalp.


Does that help to grow hair?

ARNICA mother tincture and /or JABORANDI mother tincture mixed with oil?

A hair growing formula which is a combination of Coconut oil and Arnica Q is marketed here in Sri Lanka but from observations that were referred to me by people who used it, there does not seem to be any perceptible advantage in using it.

Arnica 6 appears to be the best to promote hair growth and a new variant of using it is to follow the following instructions:

Take a 500 ml bottle of spring water available in any supermarket. Pour out 100m and drop in 3 pellets of Arnica 6c. After it dissolves in a few minutes, bang the bottle on the palm or a cushion and observe how the water fizzles like when you open a bottle of soda. This fizzling lifts the potency of the remedy and is more effective in promoting hair growth than the dry dose that I have recommended so far.

The dose is 1 teaspoonful taken twice daily.

Arnica works by increasing the flow of blood throughout the body. It helps to increase the bood supply to the scalp and this is perhaps the reason for the stimulation of the hair growth.

If anyone uses this technique, please report results on this forum to help others who are using this remedy already in the dry dose.

I would like to add that the use of Johnson's Hair Shampoo is recommended as it is very mild and helps the growth of the hair.

I failed to emphasize that the bottle must be succussed (banged) for every dose.

I would like to take the arnica 6c in the form you just described but I understand that two treatments should not be taken at the same time--on 6/11/ I took a dose of medorrhinum--I'm to note changes/improvement within 2 week period--should I wait until after this period to try the arnica 6? Also, just purchased arnicated oil, is this worth using on my scalp, it is in a mineral oil base which I've read that mineral oil can clog pores of scalp, and would I do better to just use the arnica 6c for my hair instead?

Arnicated oil--is this useful for topical aches and pains. If so, I would consider keeping it, otherwise I will return it and get the arnica 6c. -Hilife

I agree with you that you shoud wait for the next 2 weeks before you start on the Arnica 6 succussed.

Do not use the Arnicated Oil as this seems to be for topical aches and pains as you stated and is not obviously meant for the hair.

O.K.--waiting out the 2 week period. I look forward to trying this out. I know of some many others with hair loss problems, etc. but allopathic doc say there are no problems. Unforunately, I don't think the test are sensitive enough to show a problem in most. I had severe hormone and thyroid and a goitre/nodules on each side of thyroid gland although not easily visible because of my small neck, but I was told nothing was wrong--I kept pushing until a doc was found who was a bit more familiar and bit more aware of the scope of the disorder--as mentioned there is also family history for this but all of this was ignored in consideration for treatment. I feel homeopathics practicioners are more honest and realistic of possible recovery or cure. This goes a long way in my eyes. I appeciate your reply. Hilife

I would like to know if arnica on the scalp helps regrowth also....I was prescribed this 2x/week by a homeopath dr in Mexico where I reside. My husband who is a non believer of everything except traditional medicine says he read up on arnica and that it can be very toxic for the heart and that it is considered a poisonous plant. It says that taken internally it causes stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and inflammation of the mucous membranes, and at high doses, nervousness, altered pulse and muscular weakness has been reported and deaths have occurred. Although he and I differ completely on our beliefs in medicine he scared me and I discontinued use. Can you comment on this please?

Your husband is quite correct that Arnica can kill if it is taken in its raw state in a concentrated extract. We do not however use any raw extracts in Homeopathy.

We use the potentized version of any remedy which is so diluted that a 30c potency is the equivalent of 1 drop in the water in all the Oceans of the world. A 6c is the equivalent of 1 Million millionth of the Mother Tincture.

Arnica promotes the flow of blood in the body and I have used it every night from 1995 and have not suffered any ill effects from its daily use at all.

I am a 20 year old male from mumbai.
I have been experiencing hair loss for past 6 months or so. I have kind of a bald patch on the back of my head. Even a bit of baldness can be seen on the forehead.
My skin is oily and i do sweat quite a bit especially on the head. Dandruff is very less.
I gently massage my head with luke warm ginglee oil twice a week and wash it off with 'shikakai'. I apply Ashwini Hair oil everyday.
I am not alergic to any medicine and i am not undergoing treatment for any other problem.
I do consume a lot of water and fruits.
I even avoid exposing my head to too much of sun.

To tell about my self... I am an emotional type of a person. I do move around well with people. I do not get angry or tensed up very easily. I am kind of an easy going person.
Hair loss is not seen in my father or my grand father.


Kindly suggest a homeopathic treatment to stop hair loss and to ebnable the hair to grow back. (Not averse to tablest or oil.)

Hi! My mum has hair loss since she was 30 (or less), now she is 56 and she almost bald!

The main problem is on the top of her head.

I guess it will help you if I complement saying that she can't stand too much touch on her scalp because her scalp aches, she also can't stand anything on her hair because of the pain (like any kind of hair band).

I know arnica 6ch and phosphorus 200ch are great! But I am worried because she has open glaucoma.

My question is: arnica 6 ch or Phophorus 200ch is going to be bad for her eye? About the glaucoma: she doesn't have any pain, only 15 or 20% of vison loss. She is thin, brunet, have a good sense of humour, she is always making jokes, impatient and a bit anxious.

She already has taken 1 dose of kali carbonicum 5ch (2 months ago) and 1 dose of phosphorus 5 ch ( a week ago) both of the remedies have acted very well (but phosphorus was better).

When she took kali carbonicum she got very sleepy and went to bed at 9p.m (very strange)woke up at 6 am in the morning! (also strange), on the other hand when she took phosphorus 5ch she didn't have any side effect and she showed me the amount of hair that fell when she washed her hair, and I must say: phosphorus was better.

I think it's important to say that once, few years ago, she got very emotionaly upset wtih my sister and she had one eye vein broken out. It's never happened before or after that(is it a sight that she can't use phosphorus?) She had also gastritis in her esophagus, but is cured.
