The homeopathic remedy my naturopath recommended for myself and said I can give a smaller amount to the baby also is called Detoxosode Pollution Environs. Ingredients: alternaria tenuis, aspergilius fumigatus, benzoicum acidum HPUS, bromium HPUS, cadmium sulphuricum HPUS, dust, formalinum HPUS, hormodendrum, penicillinum notatum, tabacum HPUS. It says net volume conains an equal volum of each of five potencies (14x, 20x, 30x, 100x, 200) for each homeopathic ingredient in a pure water base. What do you think? Good, bad, give to baby or not? Recommended dosage for adults is 5 ml, doc said i can give baby half of that

Monicardh 9 years ago
That isn't a homoeopathic medicine. That is a combination medicine that naturopaths use, and has nothing to do with us. It either will do nothing or it will make one or both of you sick. It is a rubbish kind of 'detox' treatment they love to dish out. My professional advice is to only take our medicines when an actual homoeopath prescribes them, because they are powerful and can be dangerous when used inappropriately (as this person is asking you to do).

What has been the result after suppressing the rash with the histamine?

Evocationer 9 years ago
ok, thank you, I will skip that then. So what do you recommend i do for the baby in light of his reaction to the Sulphur?

Monicardh 9 years ago
the rash got a little better with the antihistamine, it was not as bright red, and some spots cleared up, but it took a whole 3 days to completely go away. He has now been rash free for about 3 days(we have been keeping him away from the area where he was getting his mold exposure).

Monicardh 9 years ago
And what about his other symptoms?

Evocationer 9 years ago
he seems to be digesting his food better now, but i have not given him a lot of fats yet.Mood wise he has been his normal self.

Monicardh 9 years ago
Repeat the Sulphur, but one dose only this time. Remember if there is any kind of aggravation or worsening, as I advised previously, you should not give any more doses. Also, do not suppress any symptoms that come up after the remedy with orthodox medicine. Doing this will only block the curative action of the remedy.

If you are concerned with the aggravation, dilute into 250mls instead of 100mls of water.

Evocationer 9 years ago
after one dose it was not too bad. would diluting in 100 ml be better than 250? One dose seemed ok, so if you think the 100 ml dilution is better I will try that again. Please advise so I can do it in the morning. Thank you

Monicardh 9 years ago
also, at what point will i know if it worked or not? should I wait a certain amount of time and then try exposing him to the mold again to see if he reacts?

Monicardh 9 years ago
Firstly, lets do a quick assessment of the case to see what kind of progress we have or haven't made. I will list his symptoms. Next to each one write Better, Worse or Same. If better or worse also write a percentage to represent how much.

Carried, desire to be
Independent
Covers, aversion to
Clothing, intolerance of/Naked, desires to be
Heat, feet, uncovering foot
Desires sour
Desires milk
Desires open air
Stool green
Fear of dogs
Cannot relax when being held

If Sulphur does not continue to give benefit, we need to take a full case so I can try a more precise prescription.

Wow now that I look at the symptoms and think about his behavior the last couple of weeks, it really seems like things have improved.

Carried, desire to be Independent better
Covers, aversion to Clothing, better, he has been asking for clothes in the morning.
intolerance of/Naked, desires to be better
Heat, feet, uncovering foot better

Desires sour same

Desires milk same

Desires open air better

Stool green better
Fear of dogs better, actually wants to play with them now
Cannot relax when being held a little better, will relax for maybe a minute or 2 at a time

There we go. The remedy has helped - and the rash was definitely part of the cure for him, so it is really important from now on to try and not react to those things when they happen.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Ok thank you. So would you recommend trying the original dilution,or the 250? Could his reaction to the original dilution be significantly worse this time around? And should iI wait a certain amount of time and then test his mold allergy again? After this Iam hoping maybe you can help me find a remedy for myself. I have been eextremely irritable for the last few months, any little thing gets me yelling, and I can't seem to control myself, and I am always tired. I read through the Sulphur characteristics and a lot of them apply to myself, maybe you can see if that would be the right remedy for myself also. My naturopath found out my adrenals and liver are not working properly, but your remedies seem to help a lot more, I am really impressed at the changes I have seen in the baby

Monicardh 9 years ago
Just wait with him for a bit. I want to see if he continues to improve or if he relapses.

I can't suggest a remedy for you without a case so I don't know if Sulphur would help you or not. It is possible you could be the same remedy, although it usually isn't the case.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Yes, I was thinking of starting a new case for myself. What information would you need me to provide?

Monicardh 9 years ago
Evocationer-

this is a post today- but got posted on
her old thread in error. ( I advised not repeating anything unless you suggest doing
so.)

Update, I gave him the more diluted (250 ml) remedy yesterday. He already had some leftover hover from the day before (not sure how or where he was exposed). I did not notice a big difference in the hives after the remedy, today they were a little better but still there. Behavior wise he was the needles he has been sin e he was a baby yesterday, and cried more than he has ever cried in a day, and was hard to pacify, would fight me trying to comfort him. Today he was a lot better. Should I repeat the treatment? Or wait and if so how long?

simone717 9 years ago
The drops you put into the water will not last more than a few days. If you give him more of that cup it is likely it no longer had any power in it. You will always need to make a fresh cup every time unless you are using it within a short space of time (a day typically).

However, if he is a lot better, do nothing until something warrants action.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Yes, it was a new batch and I only gave him one dose. I threw out the rest. He is finally hive/rash free as of today, but of course we are keeping him away from mold. Behavior wise, he still craves sour, has been eating half a lemon at once, by itself. He did great in the car today, where he usually cries if I am not in the back with him. Everything else is still the same. So my goal is to get rid of his mold allergy. Will this just happen on its own at this point? You said wait a while to test it, what would you recommend, weeks, months? Behavior at this age is hard to determine. Hives from mold would be a better indicator, more objective. When would you recommend I check it? And what should I be looking out for to see if he needs more remedy?

Monicardh 9 years ago
Thank you Simmone for reposting this on the correct thread

Hmmm...craving lemon in a child is extremely peculiar. I think I need to look at the case again.

So you had said originally he was a lot better after the Sulphur. But now you are saying most things are the same. When did he go back to how he was?

Evocationer 9 years ago
The lemon I noticed about 2 days ago, so after giving him the more diluted dose. Behavior is just so hard to tell, varies from day to day. He still liked dogs last time he sa one about a week ago. Cover on his feet, he allowed them one time after the first remedy, but then last weekend (so before the diluted remedy) he fell asleep without his normal pj's and I kept trying to cover him all night and he kept kicking the cover off and getting frustrated in his sleep when I would try to put it back on. He is still fine with clothes, and diapers it varies, sometimes hell lay down great and let me change him, other times he fights me with all his might. Would I tried answering some of the questions in that questionnaire you sent me, maybe it will give you more insight? Just not sure how many of those questions can be answered about a baby though. Yes I thought eating straight lemon like that, without making any kind of face was peculiar also. He bites into it and slumps the juice. Every now and then he will make a face like he doesn't like it, but goes right back for more a second later. He still won't let me hold his hand when he is walking and he still likes to be carried around when he is tired

Monicardh 9 years ago
That is an extremely peculiar symptom, the lemon craving in a child. Let me look over the symptoms again with my focus on it.

So our options here are to increase the potency of Sulphur, since it did appear to help, or to change remedies. The next potency to try is 200c.

Otherwise, on reassessing the case, I focussed my search through two specific rubrics (symptoms with associated remedies listed):

Desires lemons
Desires to uncover

The remedies listed in both of these are Arsenicum, Ferrum, Medorrhinum, Mercurius, Podophyllum, Pulsatilla.

Because of the extreme qualities of independence and clinging, I would actually consider Medorrhinum as the next most appropriate remedy. I actually think it suits him better than Sulphur.

If we move to Medhorrhinum I would also want to start with 200c.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Thank you so much for taking the time to reassess the case. I will go ahead and order the remedy you suggested. How should I give it to him? Also, the first time when we saw some results with the Sulphur it was the 100ml dilution, the second time it was 250ml dilution. Would it be worth trying the 100 ml dilutions again just one dose or would it be better just to move to the other one? Would the other one still fixhis allergies? I ffinally cleaned the porch where he was exposed to mold really well, used a natural spray that issupposed rto kill the mold and keep it from coming back, and let him go out there this morning. This evening he developed about 3 or 4 tiny little hives, nothing like it used to be, but that could be just from the cleaning, much less allergen to be exposed to, or a combination of the cleaning and the Sulphur.

Monicardh 9 years ago
The sulphur may have helped him. Make sure that you give me a report on his health PRIOR to starting the Medhorrinum.

You can dilute it in 100mls if you wish.
