Child Overdosed on Antimonium Tart

My son got hold of a vial of 1M Ant. Tart and I think took 1/2 of it. He is prone to croupy coughs when he gets a cold, but not has a constant cough. Is there an antidote to overdosing on this remedy, I suspect he is 'proving' the symptoms we were trying to cure.

Thanks

Dear maltesemd

Antidotes to Anti. Tart are Pulsatilla and Sepia.

Choose one from the above which most resembles your son's symptoms and give it in lower potency only 3 doses on a day and observe.

Dear maltesemd.

There are actually 9 antidotes to Ant-t, amd if the symptoms manifest are predominantly a dry constant cough, Ipecac but would be the best choice.

Do not worry about the amount of pills taken, the dose size isn't really that important when dealing with dry remedies, and will have caused no more harm than a single pill.

If your son really is proving the remedy after it was curative though, you may want to hang on to see if this passes.

Best wishes.
