Nesha..
ok I figured out the products within this sites remedy store. I am however, having problems finding the glycerine online. Do you have any recommendations to purchase this online. Thanks.

also another concern is the continuous burning or tingling sensation on my gums and tongue is this part of this what you call 'Perverted Acidic Reaction'?

kango last decade
Nesha, would this stuff work:

Glyco-Thymoline - Mouthwash and Gargle

kango last decade
'kango' :

1. Glycerine, is an ordinary sweet tasting & sweet smelling liquid, ordinarily available at ANY medical store or ANY super market / store. It should cost you hardly US $ 1.oo (one) for a 100ml bottle. No point in buying it online, monetarily not feasible.

Glycerine is a skin-cell-tissue re-builder, re-binder, tissue-soother. Glycerine alone is sufficient to take care of burning or tingling or cutting / chapping / cracking / hyper-sensitivity of the gums and tongue.

2. The 'continuous burning or tingling sensation on the gums and tongue' which you are experiencing is ONLY a PART of the G.I.Tract acidic environment which the body system gives out as symptoms of the under-lying cause. The whole syndrome is termed as 'Perverted Acidic Reaction'.

3. Glyco-Thymoline - AS A Mouthwash and Gargle, is normally okay for people in the Industrialised world who prefer hi-fi treatments and hi-fi designer medicines. Nesha-India, says that these are really totally useless WHEN IN comparision to Glycerine and Homeopathic medicines.

Glyco-Thymoline is a synthetic and chemical based medicine AND works superficially and does not have the curative therapeutic effect of Glycerine.

Glycerine on the other hand is 1000% Natural, with no synthetic chemicals. 1000% superior than Glyco-Thymoline. Glyco-Thymoline for a 100ml would cost over US $ 10.oo (ten).

Nesha,

I have procure all the ingredients you specified:
I found Natrum (Mur.6x, Sulph.3X, Phos.6X) products made by Hyland's I hope that the manufacture does not make a difference.

I found Pure Vegetable Glycerin (Coconut Derived) made by Nature's Answer.

Let me know if everything I have is correct.

Nesha,

Just wanted to give you an update. I have taken the prescribed meds that you outlined for me and although the symptoms have lessened. As soon as I came off of the meds I began to flare up again. The tongue gets white patches, the blisters in the mouth have reoccured, the sores on the tongues seem to be like cuts, that bleed slightly. I went to an ENT specialist and he looked at my mouth and said I had Lichen Plantus. It didn't make sense when I looked at some pictures of those with that. I told him what you thought it was and he then said that may be also. He wants me to go on Nexium or Prilesec for 2 months to see if any thing changes. Do you have any further recommendations. I do seem to have alot of acid reflux and I use to control it with Apple Cider Vinegar, but have not taken it in a while.

Looking for your guidance. Thanks.

Cause
The cause of lichen planus is not known, however there are cases of lichen planus-type rashes (known as lichenoid reactions) occurring as allergic reactions to medications for high blood pressure, heart disease and arthritis. These lichenoid reactions are referred to as lichenoid mucositis (of the mucosa) or dermatitis (of the skin). Lichen planus has been reported as a complication of chronic hepatitis C virus infection. It has been suggested that true lichen planus may respond to stress, where lesions may present on the mucosa or skin during times of stress in those with the disease. Lichen planus affects women more than men 3:2, and occurs most often in middle-aged adults. Lichen planus in children is rare.

Clinical features
The typical rash of lichen planus is well-described by the '5 P's': well-defined pruritic, planar, purple, polygonal papules. The commonly affected sites are near the wrist and the ankle. The rash tends to heal with prominent blue-black or brownish discoloration that persists for a long time. Besides the typical lesions, many morphological varieties of the rash may occur.

The presence of lesions is not constant and may wax and wane over time.

Inside the mouth, the disease may present in the (1) reticular form or in the (2) erosive form. (1) The reticular form is the more common presentation and manifests as white lacy streaks on the mucosa (known as Wickham striae) or as smaller papules (small raised area). The lesions tend to be bilateral and are asymptomatic. The lacy streaks may also be seen on other parts of the mouth, including the gingiva (gums), the tongue, palate and lips. (2) The erosive form presents with erythematous (red) areas that are ulcerated and uncomfortable. The erosion of the thin covering of cells (the epithelium) may occur in multiple areas of the mouth, or in one area, such as the gums. Wickham's striae may also be seen near these ulcerated areas.

Oral lesions tend to last far longer than skin LP lesions.

Lichen planus may also affect the genital mucosa - vulvovaginal-gingival lichen planus. It can resemble other skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.

[edit] Differential Diagnosis
The clinical presentation of lichen planus may also resemble other conditions, including:

Lichenoid drug reaction
Discoid Lupus Erythematosus
Chronic Ulcerative Stomatitis
Pemphigus Vulgaris
Benign Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid
Oral leukoplakia
Fricional keratosis
A biopsy is useful in identifying histological features that help differentiate lichen planus from these conditions.

Treatment
Currently there is no cure for lichen planus but there are certain types of medicines used to reduce the effects of the inflammation. Lichen planus may go into a dormant state after treatment. There are also reports that lichen planus can flare up years after it is considered cured.

Medicines used to treat lichen planus include:

Oral and topical steroids.
Oral retinoids
immunosuppressant medications
hydroxychloroquine
tacrolimus
dapsone

Lichen Planus
Treatment with homeopathy:
A large sample study of 800 cases by Dr Rajesh Shah, M.D. at Homoeopathy India Foundation, India, has documented encouraging results in the cases of dermal and oral Lichen Planus. Homeopathy treatment uses ultra minute doses of substances like gold salts(Aurum muriaticum), Mercury salts (Mecurius solubus, Mercurius corrosive), as well as some nosodes. Homeopathy is claimed to be working at the immune level controlling the auto-immune activity underlying the pathogenesis of Lichen Planus.

'kango' :
If the earlier suggested therapy has helped you only a little and you are getting relapses in your symptoms, then it is time to take a detailed constitutional case history, your entire eating habits and food ingredients and many more things.

Your discomfort is linked to
'perverted acidic reaction'. This will have to recitified. As 'Pankaj Varma' suggested earlier, You can try 'Mercurius Solubis' 200c, one drop liquid dose direct on tonuge. Just one dose. & Wait for 3-4 days. If still no improvement, visit a experienced & competent Homeopath.

This usually is a blind method if done via internet and is best done one-to-one with a experienced homeopath in your area, since your case might require persistent follow-ups with the doctor.

Currently, I suggest you continue the earlier therapy TILL you see a appropriate doctor in your area.
