Staph in the Family

My 4 year old brought staph home October 2005 and we all got it. Interestingly, and in true homeopathic style, we all reacted to the bacteria in different ways.

The 4 year old would get bloody boils that oozed everywhere (the blood was almost black). However, they would heal up really quickly. My 1 year old had about 40 sores which looked like little conical pimples with a purple base. His heal up really quickly too. My husband only had 4 - huge carbuncle types, but now seems to have dermatitis on the fingers. I got them all over my forearms and shins where they turned into ulcerated sores - and am now covered in scars. I didn't heal up as quickly as my boys.

After two courses of antibiotics which (surprise, surprise) didn't work, we tried a nosode. That didn't work. We tried tea tree oil applied topically, which seemed to make them worse. And we washed our towels every day as the doctor suggested (but we dried them in the tumble drier).

We started seeing a homeopath/isopath (healing world - John Godwin - NZ) and things started changing internally. Externally, a microbiologist / scientist friend of mine gave me 100% manuka oil to apply on the sores. This really keeps a lid on them. She told me that the reason why tea tree burnt them, was because of the turpentines in the tea tree oil.

Also, someone pointed out that we should hang our towels out to dry in the sun so that the UV kills the bacteria.

Excuse my ramblings, but I have been frustrated for so long by this exceptionally catchy disease that it was great to read about others' experiences.

Hope to be rid of it soon.

Cheers

Laurie

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

None whatsoever.

no other symptoms at all just prior to onset?not even emotional/mental attitude/temperament changes?

Seeing as there are four of us, it's hard to say for the others. But myself, none. I would feel a slight prickly sensation on my skin in the morning and by evening would have a large pimple that by the next evening had ulcerated. They would overlap so one would be starting whilst another ulcerating. I've called myself spotty celestial because I feel like I've got the same number of stars as the universe :-)

When my 4 year old got it though, his dad had had to travel overseas quite suddenly due to a family illness.

Then we all got it in different ways....

I have asked a clairvoyant why we got it, thinking there was some deep emotional reason and I was told that there is a problem with our water supply. It's chlorinated on a water supply. But he thought that there was a hole somewhere where bacteria were getting in. However, what kind of bacteria would get into water that way?!

this is stil occuring?this infection? or some over it and others not ?please explaiin

John Stanton last decade
Yes, it's still occuring, but seems to be almost over if that makes any sense. The itchy spot at the base of my big toe (left) this morning has turned out to be one. Will have to apply manuka oil to it today to stop it spreading.

I also have one in my right arm pit this morning. But I suspect it's like the 5 I got under my left arm pit about a week ago and won't amount to much (they're more like 'blind' pimples).

My 1 year old had one on the back of his left calf tht popped yesterday; but other than that I couldn't see any more last night.

what last illness you have before this current ?when?how treated? please explain-no matter if long ago..

John Stanton last decade
Last illness....whew! Probably flu in about August last year for me and husband. The 4 year old had flu/cough/croup about the same time and so did the 1 year old - but again, all different types of cough.

Treatment was homeopathic. I think we all got gelsinium, the 4 year old got calc phos and sulphur, the 1 year old got pulsatilla and then bryonia, husband got kali bich, and I got phosphorous.

Homeopath gave us stapholococcum (spelling?) but it didn't work. Reading up about it on the internet, made me realise that staph is not that easy to deal with. When my 1 year old got so many tht I thought he had chickenpox, I saw an isopath.

He has given us the strains of staph and streptococcus with drainage drops (see his website healingworld.co.nz)to clear our systems.
He has detected that the 1 year old and I have flukes in different parts of our body. We are going for acupuncture to get rid of flukes. He says that when flukes are gone, my healing pathway will change. The 4 year old is now fine. Husband is fine.

When we took the remedies, our urine was very strong smelling. Husband's was almost brown.
I seem to have lost my appetite and not so thirsty.

No other changes.

Just to follow up on that last post, what remedies would you recommend?

laurie--lets take it from the top..we will stat with yourswelf 1st..

Night before last night I had a sore throat. My 1 year old slept terribly (awake scratching from 12 to 3:30) and yesterday I woke up with three sores.

1st one is on the top of my big left toe just at the base where the toe joins the foot. It has grown from an itchy spot to a large sore. It is about half a cm in diameter. It is flattish and yellow. The skin around the base of my toe is very inflamed and swollen. I couldn't wear shoes today and am hoping it'll pop soon. It is very, very painful to walk and it throbs.

2nd one is at the top of my right leg, just below my buttock. It is a pin prick head - tiny. But sore! The area around is tender.

3rd one is under my right armpit. It is a blind pimple and not very painful.

Guess what! A 4th one grew today! Just below the 2nd one. It is also a pin prick of a pimple. And I'm only aware of it when I sit on it.

I think that when I'm tired, my immune system drops and I get them. That's the only thing I can think of.

Last night I got really upset/frustrated with this whole thing. Got very tearful. I'm tired of having these things pop up all over the place and I am literally covered in scars. Today I'm grumpy and very short with my family. Generally not nice to be around I'm sure.

Cheers

1 year old breast fed?

not very painful?please explain exact sensation envolved? before ---during...

how typical eaxactly is for pimples /boils to open ?discharge?

Hi John

I think we're going to have to put this on hold for a bit. Today we all went for our treatment at the isopath. After acupuncture, our flukes have gone (well, myself, husband and 1 year old - 4 year old didn't have then) and, apparently, I have strepts still in my system. We have to take a remedy to rid our bodies of the toxins from the flukes for 10 days and then after that I get to take my remedies to rid myself of the strepts.

I am feeling shocking after my acupuncture. Have been all day. I can't drink enough water!

To answer you, yes, the 1 year old is breast fed.

The sore in my right armpit is more of a 'blind' pimple (it's just red). It feels a bit uncomfortable when I touch it, but other than that, no pain.

My sores don't discharge easily. They kind of hang on and on. I have rubbed the two on the back of my leg vigorously with 100% manuka oil to open them up. I can't do that with the one on my toe - too painful.

I'll post again when I'm finished and let you know how things went. Hold thumbs that this is the end!

Cheers

Laurie
