Vocal Cords
I am a 68 year old vocalist who has lost use of the vocal cords. Diagnosis is "Glottic Insufficiency". Vocal cords are not meeting correctly. In addition to this flattening of the Vocal Cords, I have copious mucus CONSTANTLY on the vocal cords. Constant clearing of the mucus further damages the vocal cords. What are the other symptoms associated with the problem.Is there a loss of voice/paralysis of the cords?

Hello There is no paralysis of the cords. There is hoarseness, straining, unable to hold a singing pitch. I feel like I'm always pushing through my cords to even speak. Singing only comes with great effort and then I'm completely discouraged. Constant clearing of mucus further causes vocal cord distress.

Good Morning. Since this posting on June 24, 2020 I have taken the Causticum 200 twice. I have also taken the Arg. Met. 30C, 3x's daily. I have noticed slight improvement. I still have lots of mucus. I would say that I notice slight improvement in vocal cords, but not consistently. Yesterday, for example, my vocal cords were very dry and it was particularly hard to speak. Thank you.

Avoid starchy foods and milk for few days especially at night/ bed time

Hello. I have continued to take the Arg. Met. 30C 3x's a day - and have taken the Causticum 200C today. I do not eat any dairy products, and have used the steam on and off. It is helpful when the throat is so dry.
I notice some improvement in the physical duty of the vocal cords. I would say, that at the same time, I often feel like I am choking. Like my throat chakra is not open and I need to pull something out. Like there is strangling in my throat. Speaking is so difficult at times. After some long conversation, I feel like I have to give up. Pushing, pushing. That is my update. Thank you.

Hello, A.Singh. I have continued the Causticum 200 1x per week and the Arg. Met. 30C twice daily. I am noticing improvement. It is subtle and gradual, but it is there. I will continue with the prescribed.

Hello, A. Singh. I had one day last week where I had high hopes of using my vocal cords. But, it was only one day. There is still much mucus (though better) and I feel like my throat is always speaking in low pitch (for example like a male voice, instead of a female voice.) When this happens it's very hard to get my voice back into a higher register. Thank you for your help. I am taking Arg. Met. 30C 2x per day and Causticum 200 every week.

Thank you, A. Singh. I am female. The mucus is constant throat clearing. Sometimes in the morning I can expectorate, it is clear, sometimes stringy and sometimes in a "ball". I clear my throat constantly and sometimes have to spit it out. I have been menopausal since I was 45. I hope this helps.

Take Alumina 30 five drops in an ounce of water and Kali Phos 6x, five tabs three times a day.
