Person is like an uncle and son is having a really challenging time with dementia. A lot of confusion and memory issues the last two weeks. Calls my husband and leaves garbled message. Doesn’t know his son.
Son is care-giver and is good to him.
M, Age 83
BP (don’t know meds)
Diabetic (don’t know meds)
High cholesterol (don’t know meds)
Tobacco use (don’t know how long) and might be alcohol too
Loner and divorced 2x; can’t live with others well. Nervous type, very inflexible and autocratic. Likes to really shake one leg and pounds hand on 1 leg when he is talking to you but don’t think he is aware of it. Has type of nervous laugh.
Doesn’t have many friends. Most socialization is long distance with relatives in other countries, but several siblings have passed.
Has 4 kids (1 deceased about 8 years ago and was never the same after her death – seemed out of it and lost zest for living a little; had 3 4 other kids, 1 where he is and the others in another country. Don’t know about relationship and communication.
Ex-wife passed 2+ years ago (will be 3 years this December). She maintained a cordial relationship with him and talked to him on phone and think she one of very few friends. Seem to lose all interest in life after that. Not suicidal.
Main Problem: Dementia
Is there any homeopathic help for a case that advanced to this stage? I would really appreciate your input.
