Dr. Anuj- Cough to 04 year old child
I have 04 year old son. He have continous cough from last 01 year. Shown him to many allopathic doctor, eveyone is saying he is fine and prescibes cough syrup/allegra/rantac syrup for 05-07 days. It helps when he is taking the medicine, however cough returns as soon as we stop medicine.About my son
Age/weight : 04/13.5kg
Color : Fair
Cough is more when he is going to bed/waking up in morning. It increases so much that sometime he starts vomitting.
He doesnt like wrapping blanket/sheets during the night. Not even during winter/cold seasons. Due to this he frequently catches cold/running nose/fever. We have to give him Crocin/ allegra to get releif.
Even after slight sweating during playing he starts coughing.
Ginger/honey/black pepper helps a lot.
Please help what should i do ?
i dont want to give cough syrup continuosly to him.

He vomits whatever he has eaten and in most situation it is milk as he takes it before going to bed. But i can see food also in vomitting.
Regarding sweating the pillow: not sure as he hardly sleep at one place. he keep on roaming on bed all through the night.
Tongue color : Red. No whitish coating.
Mucus color :
Usually its dry cough without mucus. He keeps on coughing throught the day.
But its Yellowish whenever he has runny nose.
He talks a lot, i think its quite natural for kids. But his voice pitch is higher than other kids. I have observed that his cough increases after he is shouting/speaking loudly.
Kindly help.

NUX VOM 30,5 drops/pellets, in a cup containing an ounce of water, sip one third of it, 15 minutes later sip the next third of it, and 15 minutes later take the last third of it.HALF AN HR BEFORE DINNER. FOR THREE DAYS
Day 4 onwards PULSATILLA 30,2 DROPS in an ounce of water or two pellets what ever is available,three times a day.
In addition SILICEA 6X 2 pellets three times a day.
Feedback after 7 days.

I had given Nux Vomica 30 to my son for last 03 days. It has helped alot in first 02 days but since yestetday night he has started coughing again.
Today onwards i have started giving him Pulstilla.Still no releif.
Can i give him Nux Vomica 30 again at Night. Because of it he can sleep very well for 02 days.
I am not able to get Silicea 6X due to Covid situation. However, i could get Silicea 12X / 30. Can i give Silicea 12X / 30 ?

Yes give nux if he is sleeping well.
Puls has to be continued for sometimes since case quite old.
give Sil 12x.
if you can get hold of stodal cough syrup (SBL) homeopathic,try and get it.and start giving as per instructions .

I have completed giving Nux Vom and Pulstilla to my son. I have started Silicea 12x after 03 days, that i am still giving to him.
01-03 days of Nux Vom before dinner : Great relief from Cough during night. However, cough was still there after waking up and during day time.
04-06 Nux Vom before dinner & Pulstilla: No cough during night. However, wet cough with yellow mucus has started in day time. Running nose is not there. However, during coughing hoarseness in sound can be heard.Every 03-04 hour, we have to clean his nose for mucus.
Kindly advise.

I have sent today's sound recording of cough on your email id. Kindly check.
In morning..he wakes up around 7-7.30 am. So he starts coughing in sleep around 6-6.30 am onwards. Coughing continues till around 9.30 am...afterwards it subsides.
We gave him fruit around 0800hr after bath. Breakfast around 09.30am.
He takes lunch around 1.30pm.
he sleeps in afternoon between 02:30 pm to 05:00pm. So coughing starts around 04.30pm onwards.
we give him milk around 05.30pm and dinner at 08.00 pm.

I had given him Coccus Cacti 30 and Mag phos 6x for two days.
No change noticed. Coughing is same.
Yesterday after lunch, he had vomitted after complaining of stomach pain. We have to give him Cyclopam to control pain.
I think his cough is more related to acid reflux. His coughing sound is more like as if he is trying to clear something. Also, he is getting relief from medicine like Rantac/cyclopam. However i am not sure.
Kindly advise what should i do ?

Give one dose of Drosera 30 then after a gap of one hr start
Cina 30 three times a day . However if the coughing is relieved after drosera wait and watch.MP to continue.

In morning, during sleep, when he was coughing i had given him first dose of Drosera.
He got releived from coughing and slept for another two hour.
Since morning, coughing has reduced. But it has not gone completely.
I had not given him Cina 30.
What should i do ? Should i give him another dose of Drosera or start giving him cina.

Coughing has reduced but not gone completely. I would say 40% improvement.
Coughing got increased after evening milk. but it got reduced after 01 hour.
Today morning, coughing has started again during sleep like ealier days. Coughing stoped after morning breakfast.
Not given him any further dose of drosera. No medicine since yesterday morning.
i have noticed that he gets relieve from coughing after eating something.
Should i start Cina or wait for some more time.
