Child cough and breathing difficulty

Hi,
My 5 year old son is having symptoms of cough and breathing difficulty (with wheeze) after play. He gets lots of sweating during play as well.
He always used to get cold and cough very easily in the past.
Me and my mom also have asthma from past 10 years and 20 years respectively.
We have observed that once he is done with his running or extensive physical activity like running then almost 5 minutes later all these symptoms start showing up.
Mostly his breathing difficulty settles down after 30-45 mins but cough takes time to settle. He coughs very often whenever such phenomenon occurs. We are seeing that now after almost every time he plays, he is having these symptoms.
Apart from that he is an active child.
We are located in Bangalore India.

Please suggest.
