Antidoting remedies
Hi,I'm not a Homeopath but have been using homeopathy for the last couple of years on myself with quite a lot of success, however I've just taken a remedy which is now quite obviously wrong. I have taken one dose of Nitric acid (6c) when really I feel that I should have taken Pulsatilla.
The general results I think has been quite repressive. I was feeling quite weepy (along with all the other classic pulsatilla symptoms) and now I feel very dead pan and completely unemotional but in a way that I'm sure cannot be very healthy.
I have been unable to really understand what antidoting in homeopathy really means. Some people suggest just trying to 'stop' the remedy with coffee/ mint whilst others suggest using another remedy to undo any suppressive effects. How do I decide which antidote remedy to take?- or would I be better just stopping and not making the situation any worse? Will taking Pulsatilla now be pointless because I have suppressed the original symptoms I was trying to treat?
I am very confused about all this- I have read numerous discussions which have helped alittle but I have also read postings saying that negative effects from nitric acid were still continuing 7 months after the initial treatment and were just getting worse.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

stop taking nitric acid--(which you may have already)
allow symptomology to settle--if any new symptoms (never have had before in life),then that is pointer to remedy choice---if experiencing old symptoms (from any time in life) then allow response to contiue---unless get out of control --then need re-accessment...
as far as antidoting---this only concern yourself if gets out of control as mentioned above...pulsatilla will do that only if choice is most homoeopathic to symptomology---sepia seems more like to be choice--but again this depend on totality of symptoms...as far as pulsatilla just for weepiness--you may be just looking for quick 'fix'---always have physical symptoms to validate prescriptionotherwise become symptom chaser...

Thanks for this advice- I wasn't thinking of pulsatilla just for weepiness but for a whole host of symptoms. The nitric acid has had a really bad effect and I have been feeling very ill for the last couple of days....I really think people should be warned about how dangerous misprescribing can be! I'm very wary about prescribing anything else as this might only make things worse. I've had a few pieces of advice about taking a lower dose of the same remedy as an antidote so I will probably try this.

no--dont take lower than 6c (nitric acid)--better to do nothing than that----if pulsatilla is most homoeopathic to case --then just take 1 dose pulsatilla 30c---only once
must avoid all acids and fats
