Alcohol withdrawal- Help needed
I take 1.5 Lts beer every day, I want to quit it. I don't have any major problems in stopping it except minor withdrawal symptoms like headache, which I can withstand. But the major problem is with sleep. Its so bad that I cannot sleep till early in the morning, If I discontinue drinking. Can you suggest me homeo for having good sleep, while I stop taking beer. I might need the dose for few days, once the my body is set, then I guess I don't need further doses. thanks.paraphernalia on 2005-06-20

Arnica 6c is your remedy. Use it as follows:
Get a 500ml bottle of spring water
Pour out 100ml
Put 1 drop or 3 pellets of Arnica 6c into the bottle
Bang the bottle on a cushion and watch for the water to fizzle like when you open a bottle of soda.
This succussion should be done 4 times every time before you sip just 1 teaspoonful twice daily.
Arnica may also help you with your withdrawal symptoms as it promotes the flow of blood especially in the capillaries and this may perhaps take the sting out of the lack of alcohol in your system.
Please report progress on this forum as if the therapy I suggested works for you it can be use by others who are alcohol dependent.

I failed to mention in my post above that Arnica promotes sleep and is best taken about half hour before sleep.
It can be taken quite safely on a daily basis and you will find that it helps your Blood pressure and general sense of well being if taken daily. You can reduce your intake to just one teaspoonful before sleep after you have overcome your present problem.

Joe, thanks for the reply. I need to check whether I have 30 or 6x. Can I use 30, if 6x is not handy? please clarify.
