89-year old female with debilitating weaknessHello. I'm hoping that someone can suggest a possible homeopathic remedy for my 89-year old mother. She is mostly bed-ridden with exhaustion and weakness after a 3-week long virus that was mostly a very bad cough with much deep-chest phlegm (the cough ended 2 1/2 months ago). She is so weak that she trembles/shakes when she gets out of bed. She has a pacemaker (in place for three years after heart failure), takes multiple heart meds. for blood pressure and heart beat regulation. Her blood pressure is generally low (105/60s). She experiences much shortness of breath (this has been going on for a few years, but it is much worse in the past few months) and tires very easily (just sitting up or getting out of bed). She has been sweating during the day and night for unknown reason over the past few months--it is not due to being in a warm temperature.
She has lost her appetite since having the virus/cough in June. She eats very small amounts of food and claims that nothing tastes good anymore. She seems to crave mostly sweet things (eats mostly frozen fruit--loves very cold, icy drinks and always has since being a teen--watermelon, icy gingerale, fruity popsicles).
She also has very bad lumbar spine degeneration that cannot be corrected by surgery because of her bad heart. She has suffered with sciatica as a result for about 5 years and has almost constant pain in her hips (mostly left) and ankles/side of feet and bottom of feet--more on the left side, but also some on right). She is generally very cheerful and happy. Her attitude is always pleasant. She's thankful for everything in life, never critical or resentful. Forgiving of everyone and all situations. Very kind and understanding. She lives alone and enjoys her quiet (no fears of any kind, including death). She's incredibly sweet positive. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information that might help with a suggested remedy.
