Your choice always whose advice to take.

The risks are you will get side effects from the medicines. These side effects may merge permanently with your current symptoms. This is a worse case scenerio. Every remedy taken without clear indications for its use can be harmful. However, because of the way the medicines are made, there are no toxic side effects.

The likely reason the remedy is slow to act is because dosage and potency are not being adjusted. Change of remedy is the last option not the first. Changing remedies too quickly can undo all the good work that has been done so far. There are steps you take whenever a medicine is not doing what you hoped, so that you do not get into confusion later on. Change dosage, change potency, look for obstacles to cure (and remove them), THEN change the remedy.

There is only one homoeopath participating in this discussion, which is myself. Neither Joe or Nawaz are homoeopaths. I do not know if that makes any difference to you. Both of them will likely say their lack of training or clinical experience is irrelevent. It is up to you if you also believe this (clearly I believe it is very relevent to taking medical advice). Homoeopathy is a medical or health degree in most countries, and is actually quite difficult to study and to master.

There are other practitioners on this board that are not formally trained but who follow the principles of homoeopathic practice. I have no issue with those practitioners and we are able to co-exist in relative peace here.

Obviously you can see that I am rather outspoken and am very vocal about homoepathy being practiced according to the principles in our Organon of Medicine. Homoeopathy has been my love, my passion, and my livelihood for almost 20 years.

Joe, Nawaz and I often get into arguments because they do not practice according to those guidelines. This should not have become part of your thread, but since we recently had an altercaton on a completely unrelated discussion where a patient was foolishly taken off their orthodox medication, Nawaz and I have been bickering.

So I do apologize that you got in the middle of that. I am sure it puts none of us in a favorable light.

Appreciate if thread ABC-room http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/285539/ is used for discussion. It seems the patient is getting confused with the open discussion. Need cooperation from all the members to make sure the patient gets the best possible remedy to heal his problem.

Appreciate all your hard work, but too much theories in patients very own thread OVERSHADOW's the effort we all put in.

Education empowers patients. It is only when they understand how homoeopathy (and health) works, that they can make meaningful decisions about treatment. Couching treatment discussions in esoteric terms without explaining is the best way to disempower people. I prefer people to be allies in the process not subordinates.

I have not discussed theories here but the facts of homoeopathic practice, which are well established.

Patients in pain and suffering need remedy(s) immediately to address their problem. They are least interested in learning homoeopathy that is so complex. Patients don't have the time to go thru huge reading and answering millions of Q's. This forum is not an educational institution, a clinic or a lecture room, therefore, all the patient needs is immediate help to get rid of his/her problem in no time. As the patient is working in a different field and can not afford the time to spend in learning homoeopathy. A very high level info. about homoeopathy is OK that the patients already know by surfing the internet and talking to their COI. The world has changed, too many economic issues, jobs, bringing the food on the table, paying bills on time and dealing with realtives/friends/people is so hard. The patient is sick and in pain that needs immediate help, but, no lectures and huge amount of questions taking weeks of time.

This sounds like an acute crisis mr nawaz. I might as well start prescribing on here to help out :)

Hey Silicea,

Acute or chronic, the practitioner must have the vision, skill and experience to help in a timely manner. One must not add to patients's pain and suffering by creating confusion and more unnecessary work. One must not depend upon too much software data feeding and obtaining results. Sometimes man machine dialong leads to serious problems. One must show confidence in his prescriptions. One must not make week statements while suggesting a remedy. One must not throw remedies in the air. One must be 100% sure about the remedy that it will work based upon the data that has been presented.

Asking too many Q's, making weak statements, using too much software to identify remedies really shows that the practitioner lacks in expertise, vision, confidence, skill and experience.

You may start suggesting remedies to help others, if you know what you are doing:)

hello everyone,

just an update. I was in touch personally with another homeopath. I thought it would be best to communicate directly...because as you know I was overwhelmed with so much info.

I am now doing better and have made some changes to my remedy.

I would like to thank all of you for your help. I am very much interested in homeopathy and the knowledge and dedication you have on the forum here as encouraged me to learn more about it. I am going to be visiting the forum to gain my own knowledge and I hope to learn more.

Thanks again to all ;)
