Childbirth-How to avoid episiotomy/tear

G'Day

I am expecting my first child in May. Is there any remedy that helps to prevent an episiotomy/tearing? Maybe Coffea?
Thanks in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
if the babie's head is too big - it's to big, nothing will prevent you from tearing, that's why the doctor usually cuts , if he sees you will tear. that doesn't hurt at all und makes the scar much smaller.

anyway, there is the remedy squaw-root . that will make everything easier. like labor will come and not go away and thr contactions will be strong and really do bring the actual birth forward, so you don't have to be in labour for too long.
i am not sure right now, what the homeopathic name was. i think it is actaea racemosa. the common name in english as well as german means something like root for women or for indian women.

ok, hang on, i look it up
ok - nope, it is caulophyllum. it's also for rigidness of the neck of the uterus. a friend of mine took it with both her children right before giving birth. first child was born in 2 hours, 2nd in 50 minutes.

Dear itsme,

I had already heard of the remedy you suggested for speeding up birth.
It is great to hear that it actually works! I will certainly take it too and in terms of avoiding a tear I will start massaging the perineum and keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks and best regards,

There are many remedies for easier childbirth, but none guarantee that one will not tear. A small cut will stretch easier without tearing and this is preferable, and a stitch or two is not as serious as a tear that causes scarring tissue. (forever)

The cut is the episiotomy, without it, is the tear.

Urging rapid delivery is not good for either mother OR child. Things need to go at the body's speed.

As little as 40 years ago, Doctors used to (and some still might) give the labor some time to develop and then use forceps to pull the baby out.

I am not trying to frighten you, I want to enable you to ask some questions so you know for sure, not trusting anyone without asking.

Tell whoever delivers, you refuse to have the drops they usually put in the new baby's eyes. It causes nearsightedness very early in life. (forgot name of drops, they may have stopped by now).

Locate a midwife and/or Dula with this "tear" question and see if they have a method or a salve to use.

Caullophyllum is an excellent birth helper. So is pulsatilla, Sepia, Jackaranda, Viburnum, Alfalfa, and after birthing, Kali Carb. If there is a retained Placenta, use Cantharis.

There are more, but one needs to report symptoms in order to know which is best in what situation. If labor stops for no apparent reason, did you know sugar may begin again?

Do not separate things as doctors do. Study the whole situation and the possible events of the future because of today's actions.

Do not accept vacinations. They are full of heavy metals and are very harmful.

All you need can be found in homeopathy. It is effective for your child and all you do is sign a waver for school.

Find someone there physically that you trust that can advise and give you real information you can rely on....Sabra
