Post-Nissen reflux

I'm an opera singer and I had laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication surgery in August for reflux I'd been suffering from seriously since 2006, but really all my singing life. Surgery went well, in the first month after the surgery while I was still recovering, my full wonderful ecstatic voice was there and wonderful amazing. Since then I have had some reflux problems and also singing problems, basically since going back onto solid foods. A test was done and it seemed that food was getting caught above the wrap and refluxing from there. So at the beginning of Nov I had an endoscopic procedure to dilate the wrap a bit to assist things in going down. After the procedure I have no longer had the severe problems I had with heartburn, and feeling the reflux in my throat & chest. My singing has also been a bit improved, however not like when I had my full, complete, glorious voice for a couple of times in September. I have found I can sing functionally if I most importantly stay on a liquid diet, but also remain on medication, take zantac before bed, sleep elevated, drink ginger, no acidic foods, and use voice rest & gas-x as needed. Whenever I stop these measures, especially when I start back on solid food, the hoarseness returns immediately. This is not a solution, as I can't stay on liquids, abstain from all pleasurable foods, and be on such a super-strict routine forever. Being on liquids makes it hard to keep up my energy.

I don't know if you have many issues with people refluxing in this way, but I hope you may have some suggestions. Vocal trouble is the priority here & quality of life. I try not to think about what I've been going through for so many years now and the way I'm living, because it can eat me alive. I want the voice I had in September back, I'm beginning to think it will never be that way, that it was some combination of the tight wrap & very limited diet. This routine I've been on is miserable, unreliable, and I'm considering quitting the singing that I love. How long can I wait to hear my voice again?

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
