I need some understanding on beta strep

Hi I am a 24 year old female who has been tested postive for beta strep I thought that I was going though alot of yeast infection and UTI'S and Batter infetcion and it comes out that I wasn't going though any of these and that it was this Beta strep and when I search for it to get a better understanding about it. It only come up with being pregant and I'm not pregant so. What I'm wondering is how did I get it now and what do I do to keep it from spiking back up

Hi

Yours is a rare case that you have the beta streptococcus present as a non-pregnant woman and it is symptomatic as well.

Conventional logic suggests that you should get it eradicated.

The rule of thumb is:

Non-pregnant, infected, asymptomatic : Do nothing

Non-pregnant, infected, symptomaic : Eradicate

Pregnant, nfected, symptomatic or asymptomatic : Eradicate

Best wishes
