The ABC Homeopathy Forum

My kids...

Got a new one for you. The remedy given for my own issues was so wonderful, I thought I would try homeopathy with the children, since the side effects are almost non-existent. I typed symptoms into the software and everything I put in for them seems to give me the same answer, but I'm not sure how to dose it. I have a 3 year old son who becomes VERY restless at night. He will stay awake for 2 or 3 hours after I send the children to bed and usually keeps his sisters up in the process. This makes for a hard time at school. I have a 5 year old daughter who is a bedwetter. She wets the bed even if she uses the toilet several times before falling asleep. My 7 year old daughter is afraid of the dark. Her fright is so bad that if I don't leave the hall light on, she will cry until I rock her to sleep. Upon sleeping, she is fine. My 11 year old daughter seems to have the same problem as my son. She just doesn't want to sleep. Both of my sleepless children would happily take a nap during the day, if given the opportunity, but even when denied, they are hyper at bedtime. All these seperate ailments point to Belladonna in the software search. I don't know how to give this kind of medicine to children, especially with such a wide age range. I don't know if I should buy it in pill form or a liquid. If I buy it in a liquid, does it have to be mixed with water or can it go in juice or tea? If I buy it in pill form and my son were to bite it before swallowing, would this hurt him? Thanks for your help and suggestions in advance!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
the three kids have to be dealt with separately. cant club everything together.

start with one.

give all his / her symptoms and mentals , cravings, fears, idiosyncracies, any peculiar or strange habits etc.

Dear tired1.

Belladonna is only an acutely acting remedy and therefore will not treat the underlying problems your children have. It also has a very disturbing mental picture as part of it's totality, which corresponds to acute Mania, a very extreme mental derangement, amd I would not prescribe this unless this is also present. I am guessing this is not the case.

To select the correct remedies for your children, a thorough case taking for each would need to be performed, as stated by Rishimba above.

Okay, child #1. My son is 3. He is EXTREMELY smart for his age. He talks with an expanded vocabulary, knows his number to more than 50, writes his ABCs and name and can read a little. He is very active. His favorite thing to do is throw things. He will throw ANYTHING. Not to be spiteful, but because he likes the action of it, I think. He does 'normal' naughty things... nothing that would cause any alarm and usually stops doing them when asked. He goes to head start for 3 hours a day. He usually naps on the bus on the way home from school, this is about a 30 minute drive at about 3:00 pm. When I tell him to go to bed at night, we have a routine. He brushes his teeth, puts on his pajamas, comes downstairs for a hug and a kiss. None of the kids go to bed immediately, so I give them 15 minutes to use some energy, then I go upstairs and tuck them in and give them another hug and kiss. I used to bathe them at night, but this seems to wind them up rather than settle them down, so we do that in the mornings now. The girls seem satisfied with this routine. My son, however, as soon as my feet are back downstairs, gets VERY hyper. He runs from one room to another and up and down the hall. He usually comes downstairs at least once, making up any general reason. He jumps on the bed and yells things to make the girls laugh. Occasionally he will turn on the TV and run around the room, even thoguh television is not allowed on school nights. He takes pillows and blankets from the girls in order to get a rise out of them. He throws things down the stairs and runs to his room. It's very difficult in this house at night! I will post child #2 after I get responses to this one. Thanks!

i dont think this child needs any remedies.

as long as he doesnt have any physical ailment its not advisable to give him anything.

Okay, sounds good. I just worry that he will not have enough sleep before school, but I don't want unnecessary medicine. Thank you for your opinion.

Child #2

My 5 year old daughter is a bed wetter. She's behind in school and has a lot of issues with behavior. She has a tendency to do the opposite of what she is told, perhaps to get attention. I've heard children will take negative attention over no attention, but she's given the same attention as all my children. She enjoys drawing and playing learning games. When she is denied what she wants from me, she usually takes it in stride, but when denied what she wants from her siblings, she screams and becomes angry. She has a 'potty mouth' and will repeat the worst words she hears out of any adults mouth. She is, however, just about the prettiest child I have ever seen. I refer to her as my china doll. She craves spicy foods a LOT and if she is given them will request more and will not eat anything else on her plate. Her behavior issues are dealt with by me using acceptable discipline and love. The bedwetting, however, I can't seem to stop. I have tried waking her at night to use the restroom, telling her to use the potty before bed and even tried to diaper her as a subconscious reminder. I am told that a doctor can provide a medicine to stop this, but I don't want to risk dehydration with chemicals. Any thoughts?

for your daughter, bed wetting can be stopped with homoeopathic medication.

start with CHINA 30C three doses for three days. thats all.

if the bed wetting still continues even after 10 days, go to KREOSOTUM 30C three doses for 2 to 3 days.

one of them should work out.
