The theory of suppression

The suppression won't happen if you get cured,in the real sense, by proper homeopathic medicines,administered in the proper way.

In that case,the disease is eradicated totally and you
regain optimum health.

How do we know whether the disease is suppressed or cured?

If you remain healthy for atleast an year without getting any of the diseases of the second tier, you can rest assured that you have been cured.

However,if you happen to get any disease of the second tier, then you have to suspect strongly the suppression aspect,particularly if these problems recur again and again.

If you happen to suppress the diseases of second tier,you will land into the group of diseases in the third tier.

they include..

Rheumatism of bones,muscles,cartilages,hoarseness of voice,psoriasis,spondylitis,alopecia etc..

it is to be remembered that as you keep on suppressing, and move up the tiers, your general health will keep deteriorating correspondigly.

so, a person with Eczema only, should consider him more fortunate than an arthiritis person.

It is very rare that a person will have a tier one problem along with tier three problems.

However, he may keep on getting any of the tier three diseases,as long as he remains on the same plane.

So,his psoriasis may improve ,but he may get spondylitis,or any of the diseases from the same group.

You normally find childern with Eczema,may have some problems of ears too or the problems of ear may alternate with eczema,but it is very rare that one will have Asthma and eczema together.

You are likely to get

Nephritis,lymphangytis,piles,pericarditis,peritonitis,hypertension..etc.

Now, look back and see whether you recognise these disease progressions from one tier to the other,among your family,friends or acquitances.

you might have thought they got a new disease, but would never have thought that the new disease could have been due to suppression, either by ill indicated homeopathic remedies or allopathic remedies.

Asthma getting cured and skin problem appearing is the correct direction of cure.

If the reverse happens,it is suppression.

In order to help the physician,to understand whether the cure is taking place in the right direction or not,Hering proposed a theory,long back.

The present work of Dr.Vijayakar is further refinement over it.

In homeopathy long term follow up, and building a relationship between the patient and homeopath is essential to monitor these long term effects.

say, a person who has hypertension uses Arnica,and if acts suppressively,he may get diabetes,which is the next tier.

If arnica is used for diabetis,and if acts suppresively,the person may get heart problems.

However,here the operative phrase is 'IF IT ACTS SUPPRESIVELY'.Though thereotically all medicines can suppress if used indiscriminately,the danger is more with deep acting medicines.

with short acting remedies like arnica the danger is less.

the maximum duration of action of Arnica is around a week, in ideal circumstances,and it is very likely that in majority of the cases,it is about a day,considering the very low potency of 6C.

So,even if you repeat arnica in 6c,particulary as a succussed water dose,daily,there may not be much harm,but, it is better to stop after a few weeks,assess the situation, and if it proved beneficial, stop it for the time being, and repeat it only when the same symptoms surface again.

I agree Ripas. The patient may move around from one disease to the other within the same layer, but it is not that dangerous.
