Attention: Dr. Kulkarni
Hello Doctor,I have experienced hair loss on my head in patches and increasing over the period of time. I have tried different shampoos and no improvements yet.
Please advise a homeopathic remedy. Thank you.

Need more information.
Write about following:
Age/Gender/Location/Country/Ethnicity. Height / Weight /Skin color/Eye color.
Weather tolerance preference (Heat /cold). Thirsty / Thirstless.
Please explain everything in detail. Don't try to cut short.
When & how your present trouble started? Mention location / side (right or left) of each complaint. What is the probable cause of each of your health problem according to you?
All your past and present health in sequence oldest to newest. All details of previous treatments (oldest to newest) and their effects. Your tolerance / preference to weather (Hot / cold).
For females: Write about your periods / menses.
Write in detail about you – emotions, fears, sentiments, etc. your personality, physical parameters, habits, feelings about life, etc.
Write in detail about your life: social, family, occupational, schooling, childhood, etc. You should mention about incidences that might have influenced or impacted your mind / health / life considerably.

I am 53 year old Asian living in United States for last 35 years. I am 6 feet tall 210 lbs in weight with black eyes color. I prefer cold weather over hot and dont feel thirst mostly.
My current situation first appeared when I was only 16 years of age and it went away by itself and now it appeared again a year ago and has spread over the period of time.
Two years ago I had a heart attack and have two stints placed in my heart and since than I have none health issues and feel great.
I am married with two sons in family who are 23 and 21 years of age respectively. My wife is 54 years of age and we are a happy family.
I am self employed in my business and went through ups and downs of business and currently in process of re-establishing our family business and feel very energetic and work almost 14 hours each day. During the time our business went down, I felt stressed out enormously and now I am at a point where I learned to cope with the situation and not much stressed out.
I am Muslim by faith and my wife is an American lady who originally was converted to Islam and now does not practice anything and is doing a soul searching. My both sons are Muslims and we practice our faith daily.
People have a good opinion of me mostly and so far I have 95% of people I interact with are my friends for long time.
I am loyal to all people I associate with and respect all people from all walks of life.

There is paucity of useful data in your info. I guess you are very new to homeopathy. The purpose of asking details is not to know if you are a good / bad person or happy / unhappy person but to find out finest distinguishing features in you which only can help a homeopath to prescribe best possible.

Please start with following prescription:
1. APIS MELLIFICA 30C , pills (buy minimum qty dispensable at the shop), take 5 pills (for one dose) A SINGLE DOSE DAILY MORNING, (NO EXCESS DOSES PLEASE).
Nothing else to eat or drink 1 hour before and 1 hour after the doses.
(This dose works for several days. So, keep patience).
Do’s & don’ts:
1. Stay away from Strong odors.
2. Do not touch medicines or spill them. Use the cap of container (of same medicine) to transfer the medicines.
3. Place the prescribed dose under the tongue and let it dissolve. Keep the dose for at least 2 minutes in mouth.
4. Keep medicine containers airtight, away from direct sunlight, heat, any smell and children.
5. Avoid strong smells and odors AFAP.
6. Do not take any other medicines for any health problems. Most symptoms go as they come within 24-72 hours. Do not apply any cream etc for skin itching / eruption, if any.
7. Report any problems & seek appropriate advice.
8. Otherwise report progress after 1week.

I forgot to mention that two years ago I had a heart attack and two stints were placed in my heart and since than I have to take one tablet of Plavix and one baby Aspirin daily as per doctors advice.
Would this interfere with this medicine you are prescribing?

They are likely to interfere to some extent but being medicines for heart I wouldn't recommend you to stop at once.
You may take Apis, however.

Yes, in the morning. Please avoid interference of toothpaste odor. If you find it inconvenient you may take the dose in the evening after 6 pm.

Good Afternoon Dr. Kulkarni,
I trust you are doing well. I am now past one week from the first day I started taking Apis and uptill now I have not noticed any change in the condition yet.
I take 5 pills at 5 pm daily and no water or food one hour prior and one hour afterwards.
Let me know if I need to do anything different or continue the treatment please.

It's too early to expect anything. Now, instead of daily dose, you start taking Apis every alternate day.
Report after a week again.

I trust you are doing well.
I am reporting to you after one week or so the status.
Now when I take bath, I dont find too many hairs fallen in bath tub compared to before I used to see a lot.
But the patches are still there.
Please advise what if I should continue using the medicine OR a different approach to the issue.

Do you see new hair (fine stubble) in the patch? Either look into a mirror or try to feel with your finger tip. Do you find any change, very little though?

As you find some reduction in hair loss it indicates the remedy is working favorably. So, you can wait a little more as hair growth is a slow process. Report after 1 week. Let me know even if the growth is very little in the bald spots.
