I got my first BC in 2007. It was very large and painful. The dr. put me on antibiotics and it disappeared. Then the second one came up in the fall of 2010 and I have been suffering from it every since. I have done everything. Went to the doctor and had it drained, which it then came right back. After that I tried everything natural from soaks, to homeopathy, acupuncture, diet change etc.
Finally something worked ladies. I bought and applied an ointment called Black ointment or Black Salve (The herbs place). I applied it on the cyst for 3 nights and days. And stopped because I went on vacation. I had totally forgot about it and 2 weeks later the cyst drained. The cyst is still there. But it is no longer swollen it is just a very small lump. But its a 90% improvement and my vagina looks normal again. It has been so long. It even remained a small lump and has not gotten swollen again following sex. I am continuing to put the black salve on. The lump seems to be getting smaller day by day. Please try it. You have nothing to lose. Hope this helps ladies.

I am hoping to hear from Joe De Livera. Btw are you a homeopathic dr? I've had my first and only bartholin cyst for 4 weeks now. 2 weeks ago I saw a homeopath dr who prescribed me the following, however, 2 weeks later my cyst has almost doubled in size. Though it isn't the formulation you've suggested I was hoping for your help.
ignatia amara
apis mellifica
graphites
phytolacca dec
mercurius sol
baryta carb
sepia off
calcarea carb
lycopodium clav
The doctors idea was to kill the bacteria first (if there is any) then possibly put me on silicea in feb 2012. Please give me your suggestion. I am 29 years old and an otherwise healthy lady.
also please tell me which is more effective homeopathic pills or homeopathic solution in alcohol base.
thank you so much. | | |

Sorry I forgot to add on top of the above medications I am taking 1 sitz bath with epsom salt and essential oil (juniper berry and lavendar). As well as I use a heating pad 2x daily.
I am married so I've been 1 month without sex. I'm sure all the ladies can attest this BC is extremely depressing.

I'd like to share what just worked for me...Tea tree oil and steam. This gets detailed, the faint of heart may wish to stop reading. The method is pretty much to just GENTLY steam your lady parts over a pot of tea tree/hot water.I poured 3/4 teaspoonful GENTLE STRENGTH 20% Tea Tree Oil (Desert Essence brand, found at my local drug store) into a quart of hot water.Careful not to get the steam in your eyes! Putting your bowl or pot on the floor and squatting over it seems to be the best way,as the vapors can get up and into where the gland opening is.Have a chair or something in front of you to lean on for support, and sit for a few minutes. Please use extreme caution!Steam burns are the most painful type of burn. The only thing more painful and humiliating than arriving at the e.r. with an infected barth cyst, would be arriving with an infected barth cyst plus third degree burns,so please be very careful. The water doesn't need to be super steaming, just hot enough to release some tea tree vapor.Mine burst a half hour after I tried this.Though I had been suffering for ten days and had tried all the things already suggested here(Silica, sitz baths,etc..),it may have been a combination, but this was so effective for me.Thank you to all the brave souls who posted here,it is a comfort to know I'm not the only one who suffers from this.(EDIT) Upon reflection,I feel I should recommend using much less (just a drop or two, careful not to get the steam in your eyes)than I originally suggested here.As tea tree is such powerful stuff,I wouldn't try this more than,at most, once a day, tops.Once was all it took for me. Hi teaplease:
a few questions for you. When the Bartholin cyst drains does it drain internally or externally. I guess you mentioned it "burst" so did it continue to bleed for hours later? Once it burst did you continue with any more steaming in the days to follow to ensure more fluid wasn't forming inside?
If you don't mind me asking what was the size of your cyst? I've had mine for 4 weeks now :( and it is currently getting bigger and it is the size of an oversized cherry.

Hi snowflake82,I was so relieved I didn't feel the need to steam again, also I didn't want to press my luck or overdo it with the teatree! Please see my edited post. There was some light spotting ,it drained from where the gland is located(ahem, inside the opening to the vag)...gravity helped. It had grown the size of a golf ball, now it's gone.Good luck, hope you feel better.

Hi everyone, I'm 36 year old female with my 3rd BC in in 3 years. My first one was about 3 years ago, I had a word catheter inserted, it was gone for about a year, then came back. I had it marsupialized, thinking it would go away for good and it's back 8 months later. I have another marsupialization scheduled but am hoping to cure it naturally between now and then. All three have been about the size of a golf ball by the time I noticed them. I'm already doing sitz baths but I'm going to try the essential oils, the tea tree steaming and the silica supplements. Will update with the results. Glad there is a forum on this and hope we get some relief!

Hi-I think you need to post
a separate thread-it sounds like
you have swelling but no cyst like
these other people and no one is
answering this cyst thread - it is like
some information thread.
Please post - with a new title-
and fill out this form-http://abchomeopathy.com
/forum2.php/188925- answer those questions.
do you have a yeast infection with some discharge?
sometimes a yeast infection can make the area
swell up.
Do the above so someone will answer your post.

Hello my beloved fellow sufferers. I'm honestly so happy to have found people that share my pain. Only those who have gone through this know how terrible it can truly be.
I'm 24. I had my first cyst last year. And when it first started I honestly didn't think anything of it. My boyfriend and I don't have a lot of boundaries in the bed room, so to speak, and I figured the little bit of swelling I was experiencing was from being a little too rough. Then, over time, the swelling ended up being a small lump on the left side of the opening of my vagina. Since it didn't hurt, I ignored it. Then all of a sudden one day I was swollen to the size of a golf ball or larger and extremely tender. The pain was really terrible. But I decided to go to work. About half way through my day the pain became intolerable and I began to cry. I went to the emergency room where they attempted to numb me locally (which didn't really work) and then proceeded to lance my cyst. I felt INSTANT relief and I was so happy everything was done (or so I thought). They gave me some antibiotics and some pain meds and sent me on my way. After a few days the draining stopped and I felt around to make sure nothing else would come out. I did feel a little pea sized lump, but I wrote it off as something that would heal eventually.
Here I am today with another cyst. I read somewhere that only 10 percent of women who get BC's get them more often than once. I find that hard to believe. I also read about silica and I'm skeptical. I hate this pain. I hate this swelling. It's honestly one of the most frustrating and depressing things I've gone through. I'm doing a form of sitz baths in my bath tub. It does offer some relief from the pain and pressure, but I'm doubtful it will rupture on its own. I have a Dr.'s appt on Monday if I can make it that far. Please send your positive thoughts or prayers my way.

I posted a few weeks ago that I was going to try natural remedies but my cyst got so large and so painful (when all was said and done the doctor said there were TWO and one was the size of an EGG) I ended up having an excision. I was in so much pain I begged the doctor to remove it. I'm all for keeping my body parts intact but I feel that my cyst coming back again and again, more painful each time, was more than I or my sex life could bear. I am now two weeks and two days post-excision and I feel no pain. It hurt the first week and now it is much better and the outside looks normal. I have a big cut and stitches on the inside so no sex for a few more weeks. That is my update. If the left one acts up I'm likely to get it removed too.

Homoeopathy actually has some effective treatments for this condition. Unfortunately you have not been treated homoeopathically as yet - from the look of your first post, that 'homoeopath' (a term I use lightly for him) prescribed 9 remedies at once! This is dangerous and breaks all the guidelines for sucessful homoeopathic treatment. Clearly this man was a charlatan when it comes to homoeopathic prescribing, and it is a shame you had to pay for that.
A homoeopath would never talk about 'killing bacteria off first'. This is nonsense, the kind of nonsense that an allopath speaks about. The only thing that matters is to cure the cause of your problem. Obviously he had no idea what he was doing.
It is a great pity that you were deceived by this man, as it puts real homoeopaths in a bad light. I would happily offer my advice if you see a return of the problem.

I have been reading all of your posts as well as hundreds of others online over the last 2 days and before i managed to post my own comment, I experienced The relief!!!
I have had this cyst for 3 days and was going to go to the doctor tomorrow to follow all of the advice on what to take to help get rid of this disgusting, painful and annoying lump. I decided that it couldnt hurt to sit with a hot compress this evening while watching tv before bed. Since i couldnt sleep i sat through 2 movies, almost 4 hours, with a HOT water bottle between my legs (wrapped in a towel and then uncovered once it had cooled down a bit. Just got up to go to the loo and the was a tiny brown "dot" when i wiped... Looking with a mirror I pushed from the bottom up and a GUSHER of brown mess came pouring out. As disgusting as it was I have never felt such relief!! It was not pus or blood but more like a muddy syrup that eventually became slightly bloody plasma.
My question was going to be, how much "stuff" was going to come out if it ruptured and where does it come from, but ive got my answer. I tried to press it before but was pressing the wrong way before. Unfortunately even tho is has ruptured, I noticed that the other side has started to swell as well so I hope i dont have to go though all of this al over again so soon. Might go get the meds anyway just in case...
Good luck to all of you and hope your relief comes soon and stays around!

Hello, Ladies. As many of you, I am currently dealing with a,or what I think is, BC. I am 27, and about four days ago I noticed a little lump in my vagina lips. The past few day I haven't been able to walk, stand, or sit. I have been living in Mexico for the past four months, so I didn't want to go to a doctor, plus I didn't have the extra funds for a doctor. After doing some research on the internet, I found several ladies that found relief in Keflex, a antibiotic. Being in Mexico, I was able to go to the pharmacy and buy some. The dose I got was a 1g size. So, I split them and started taking the antibiotics every six to eight hours. Because the pain has been so intense I have been taking extra strength advil every six hours. Bath tubs are not that common here, so I couldn't take a salt bath. Instead I took a clean sock, wet it, and placed it in the microwave for about 45 sec. This provided me with a hot compress. Early this morning, I had a sensation that I started my period, but what do you know it popped! Instant relief! I placed a maxi pad to help with the fluid and I am wiping myself with baby wipes. My question is: what now? Its popped, I am taking antibiotics, but how do I keep it clean? I still am in pain, but not nearly as bad. The pain is almost a mix between a burn and sting. How long after it pops does the pain leave? How do you care for an open wound? Another question: I have little lumps that form under my arms every so often, could this also be a glands that are backed up?
Thank you everyone for your openness.

madison1 A peri bottle and a can of Dermaplast spray is what hospitals send new moms home with after giving birth.Hopefully you can find something similar? The perineal bottle is just a soft plastic bottle that you fill with warm water and rinse with after you use the restroom (maybe add some seasalt?).The Dermaplast spray has a numbing effect is antibacterial and safe to use down there. It's now available over the counter here in the U.S.(Sorry ABC,probably not homeopathic.)You mention lumps under your arm,I too had one.I also only take showers, never baths.I wonder if Barth sufferers might benefit from regular soaks in the tub.Good luck, hope you feel better soon. | This thread continues beneath the following ad.
