Hi Rishimba, just a quick query - must I stick to 15 day intervals with the causticum remedy or is it possible to taken sooner? Not a problem waiting, just feeling a little frustrated at the stubbornness of these warts that are not abating!
Many thanks.

No, I would suggest you to take one single dose of CAUSTICUM 10M and see for a month if it helped in shrinking the warts.

Hope the next higher potency will expedite the cure.

rishimba 9 years ago
Thank you Rishimba, I have ordered the higher potency.

Please confirm, is the single dose 3 drops in 10ml water?

Many thanks.

zoezest 9 years ago
Yes, single dose only.

Follow the same process as before...3 drops in 10 ml of water to be sipped up in empty stomach and clean mouth.

Go back to sleep for at least 2 hours after taking the dose to ensure full absorption.

Great, thank you.

I am hoping for delivery of remedy today.

Kind regards.

Hi Rishimba,

I woke early today and suddenly thinking I must take more causticum but discover it has only been 3 weeks since the previous dose. Should I prepare to take a further dose in the next week?

There has been no visible reduction in the warts or verrucas yet.

I also wondered about topical treatment. I know that thuja is sometimes applied topically to help with verrucas and I wondered if there was any harm in applying causticum directly aswell as taking orally.

I will await your advise on this.

Many thanks for your time.

zoezest 9 years ago
You can apply Thuja topically. There is no harm.

Also, if CAUSTICUM doesn't show any further response, you can change remedy. You can try THUJA as well, if you haven't yet.

rishimba 9 years ago
I wondered about applying causticum liquid topically? Could it be worth a try?

Shall I prepare to take a further dose of causticum 10m in a few days time?

I have just read about lycopodium being used in the treatment of warts around the nails.

I have read an interesting case and wonder if there may infact be some similarities with my own case. I wonder if this is worth considering.

I have also read about antimonium crudum being used for warts around fingernails but I'm unsure of the similarities with my own picture.

Please advise if you are happy to discuss/consider looking at these (particularly lycopodium) further.

Ever grateful.

Hi again Rishimba,

I apologise for so many posts today. I seem to have a renewed desire to get the root of my problems! Perhaps because it is my birthday soon and I am looking ahead to a new year?!

I have been doing some reading around my constitution and symptoms and I fell the need to mention several things which I may have previously omitted.

1. I believe the miracle cure I received for repeated tonsillitis during teenage years was calc phos. It worked immediately after the very first tablet.

2. I generally have very dry skin, especially on my hands feet and shins. It does not itch but can become chapped and sore in the winter, despite constant moisturising and wearing gloves outdoors. Tips of fingers often crack in cold winds.

3. Prior to receiving homeopathic treatment this year, I had had several months of eczema-type lesions around my nostrils. These have now gone.

4. I am very sociable by nature but I have observed that I often prefer exchanges with strangers or acquaintances rather that that with close companions. I prefer to keep people at arms length. Similarly at home I require a lot of space and time to myself. I love having family around so long as I don;t feel stifled.

I don't know how relevant these bits of information are but I felt I should mention them to you in case they have any baring on your thoughts on my case.

Kind regards.

We will try to find out how close you are to Lycopodium. At present I don't think these bits of information point to any specific remedy.

You could yourself read up lycopodium and check if you had similarities.

In my opinion, try out one dose of CAUSTICUM 10M as it showed a partial response in 1M potency.

Then you can try out Thuja or Lycopodium one by one.

Hi Rishimba,

Update on my case. Following the causticum 10m single dose 4 weeks ago, I still have the warts and verrucas and haven't seen any noticeable change.

I have been feeling well in myself and over these past months have not suffered any colds or bugs that have been present locally so I feel my immunity is fairly strong. I just wish I could get to the bottom of my wart problem and I am now totally convinced it must be connected to supressed emotions.

I can see some similarities between myself and the described lycopodium personality. The most striking things are:
-a tendency to deceive himself
-a resilient self esteem (outwardly at least)
-imperturbable detachment

I think this excerpt from Catherine R Coulter's book could be describing me:
http://www.narayana-verlag.com/homeopathy/pdf/Portraits-of-H....

I would be really grateful for your thoughts on this and happy to answer any further questions you have which could help us to figure this out.

Many thanks.

Have you ever tried THUJA for your warts?

If not, try out a few doses of THUJA 1M once every 15 days before you go to Lycopodium.

If THUJA fails, Lycopodium may be your next remedy.

rishimba 9 years ago
Ok, thanks Rishimba. I did try thuja in pill form initially, but they were a nelsons remedy I bought over the counter at the chemist and may not have been a good batch or potency. I will order the potency you suggest and see how this works out.

Many thanks.

zoezest 9 years ago
In your case, THUJA 1M is the right potency for warts.

Observe for a month and if nothing happens, you can start lycopodium 1m once every 15 days.

rishimba 9 years ago
Thank you. I will try this.

hi Rishimba, just to say that I have taken a single dose of Thuja 1m as instructed, a few days ago now. I feel that there may be some change in my nailbed warts - they feel drier and harder - so I am keeping a close eye on those. I don;t know if it is related at all but since taking the remedy I have felt a little 'viral' if that makes sense? I have been slightly dizzy a lot of the time, feeling exhausted and a little sensitive on my skin. Not sure if this is at all relevant but thought it was worth mentioning.

I also keep thinking about calc phos and how it really helped me (cured) with tonsiitis an feelings of inadequacy as a teenager. I wonder about revisiting it if there is no relief from the thuja remedy?

Kind regards.

zoezest 9 years ago
This is good news! At least it is a relief to know THUJA did create a response in you and your warts are now drying up. You may know that warts happen due to HPV which is also a virus type.

When you take THUJA, you may feel a similar stimulus, the response to which will then work on the warts to remove them. Thus, I feel, this feeling is temporary and you will get over it soon.

THUJA 1M once in 15 days is an acceptable dosing rate for warts and it has been given to many people successfully without causing any aggravation or proving. You could instead take it once a month and continue it for some 3 months.

However, if this 'viral' feeling increases in intensity with time, you need to address it homeopathically. Please wait for some days as I feel this is a temporary reaction.

Hi. Yes I feel as though the viral symptoms are only very slight and probably temporary. Although I have felt fine in the mornings and managed exercise as normal, etc, I feel slightly dizzy and nauseous if I stop and think about it and little over-heated at night. Nothing I can't cope with though so I will happily wait for 15 days to take the next dose.

I will check in with you before taking next dose and report any further findings.

Best wishes.

Hi Rishimba,

I am preparing to take next dose of Thuja 1m in a few days time so thought it sensible to inform you of my latest observations.

Following the previous dose of thuja I was certain I noticed a small reduction in the warts on my fingers, mostly on the more recent (newest) of the warts which dried up slightly and the top picked off. Although now I observe that there has been no further reduction in the size of any of the warts or verrucas.

The skin of my feet around the verrucas is particularly dry of late. And I have also noticed over the past week or so that my hair is feeling a little dry at the ends and looks a little frizzy when it is usually erring on the greasy side.

I have noticed a couple of spots/boils this week. One in the genital area and one on my upper back. They are not enormous or painful, just noticeable. I did used to get boils like these from time to time but haven't had any for a number of years now.

My left breast has been a little uncomfortable for a week or two. This could of course be hormonal, as could the boils, and I have had monthly menstrual breast pain in the past but again not for a while. I am currently menstruating and would expect the discomfort to pass when my period ends.

I have felt pretty good in myself. I have been making more effort to spend time with real friends and people who make me feel valued and loved. Hence I have been spending less time with acquaintances, false friends and family who do not make me feel good.

I have an overall positive mood at present and feel like life is moving in the right direction. I do not feel so trapped by the things that would have bothered me previously. I am less concerned with the judgement of others.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on my progress and whether you are happy for me to continue with a further dose of thuja this week.

Best wishes.

zoezest 9 years ago
That sounds good.

Warts that are new, will be the ones to dry out earlier. Old warts will take time to dry up.

I feel you should go ahead with THUJA 1M another dose and monitor progress.

This is going to be a bit long drawn process but there isn't an alternative in case of warts. They do take time to fall off.

Hi. I took last dose of thuja 13 days ago.

I think I may be fighting off another virus as although I have not been taken ill exactly I have had symptoms such as slight mucus in throat and nasal passages, occasional back ache, abdominal gripes and wind. I have also been feeling quite grumpy of late. I am aware of this shift of mood and feel less tolerant especially of touch from partner or children. I feel I need more physical space. I have continued to feel focussed on improvement of my situation and have been proactive in achieving some goals.

With regard to the warts and verrucas I am not certain if anything is happening. I have noticed an increase in dry skin but size-wise I don't feel they have shrunk during this 13 day period. The worst warts (tip and side of right index finger) feel more prominent and I am having to cover with a plaster whenever I go out as they are so unsightly. I am considering trying to treat topically with thuja oil if I can get hold of some.

I would appreciate your thoughts on how to proceed. Should I take a further does of thuja in 2 days time or is it time to try something else?

Many thanks.

zoezest 9 years ago
Based on your observations I don't think THUJA is working any more. Looking at your moods and physical symptoms, you can now take a dose of LYCOPODIUM 1M and see if it acts on your warts.

rishimba 9 years ago
Hi Rishimba,

Thank you for your response. I have not purchased lycopodium yet but I know my local healthfood shop stocks pills (unsure of strength).

I have been giving a great deal of thought to my predicament recently I wanted to share some thoughts with you as it may influence the way forward.

I feel strongly that my issue with persistent warts and verrucas stems from my childhood (specifically teens) when I felt quite stifled by my parents and felt unable to express my true self. I felt I was consistently disapproved of by my parents and sought refuge with friends and family, where I felt more valued and accepted.

Thinking about my current relationships with family, these feelings are still the same if I'm honest. Despite their opinions not directly influencing my choices anymore, I do feel that my parents (and now also some of my siblings/partners) openly disapprove of me and my choices.

I have always felt a bit of a square peg in a round whole, if you know what I mean!

I had hoped that finding my constitutional treatment would get the root of the problem but I suspect that as this troublesome situation appears to be ongoing it is not so simple as I had hoped.

I love them all deeply and am in contact with them fairly regularly. I know that deep down they too care for me despite their outward criticisms and this is why I have not detached from them.

Do you think that it is possible to consider any remedies that can help me deal with the feelings that my family evokes in me? I understand that there is no miracle cure for this and am willing to work at it over time but I feel I need help to find the strength to rise above the feelings of rejection and disapproval and move forwards. I feel like I am in a viscous circle as I never truly believe that I am worthy of being free of these warts.

Is there maybe an additional remedy that could help me with this?

I asked about lycopodium as I am aware that I am very good at hiding the truth of my feelings - even from myself and upon reading about the remedy I could see several similarities with my personality.

I would be extremely grateful if you would give these points some thought and give me your perspective on how to continue.

Best wishes.
