Hi Rishimba,
Here is what my son wrote:

I feel like sleeping on the desk when the lesson is boring. When I find an unfamiliar question on the test my brain shuts down and I can't think. When I want to remember something or want to memorize something I feel like falling asleep.
If someone tells me something is difficult, I start believing in it and even if it is not difficult for me I find it hard and tend to give up.
If I don't like a teacher then I cannot do well in that subject.

I am only scared of injections not needle in general.

Since he seemed to be a phosphorus child and the remedy did effect him positively, he can try PHOSPHORICUM ACIDUM 12C twice a day for some days. This will improve his concentration, physical and mental debility etc.

One dose would be 5 drops in some 10 ml of water. Give him twice a day in empty stomach. He shouldn't eat or drink anything for the next one hour.

Initially, you can give this for a week or 10 days maximum and then make an assessment if he really benefited from the remedy.

Come back to me with your observations after a week of taking this remedy.

I will do that.

Meanwhile, can you please suggest something for his cold symptoms?
The day before yesterday he played outside in the cold. After that he started having sore throat which is worst in the morning after waking up. His more is blocked and he sneezes. He also has a bit of cough with mucus but that is not much. He doesn't cough at night while in his sleep. The symptoms are worse in the morning. He also gets headaches and feels very weak. Yesterday he didn't go to school and slept the whole day. His final exams are coming up in a week so he is worried.

To take care of his acute cold symptoms, the right remedy is PHOSPHORUS 200C three doses only, each dose 12 hours apart.

Since he has shown typical phosphorus traits, this remedy will help him in cold as well.

Hi Rishimba,
I started giving my son Phosphoricum Acidium. I will get back to you after a week. Sorry for the delay.

Dear Rishimba,
I gave my son the medication. He seems less resistant to new things. His energy seems better now but right after taking the medication he used to seem very tired and he used to dose off in class.
I want to mention that when he finds something difficult he avoids to go deep into it. So ge gives up easily. It seems that if he tries to get deep into it he can't find his way back to it. If I give him a little bit of an idea he gets it and can solve the question by himself.

Noted.

Please try to explain things to him in the way he understands by making it simple, giving examples etc.

If he develops a habit of understanding things, he will be curious throughout his life and always get to the bottom of things he comes across.

Its a habit that parents have to inculcate in children.

Believe me we are trying really hard. He has tutors and his dad also explains. He gets restless to finish his work and jumps at it at the first glance. If he gets confused in the beginning then he can't figure things out but if we give a hint then again he jumps at it without thinking about it patiently. I know it runs in the family. His grand dad has the same issue. They always feel like time is running out. This happens in every sphere of life. Starting from day to day work to reading and listening. This way they can't pay attention to detail.
He also gets confused when different types of Math is given during exams. On the other hand when he has chapter review he is fine as he has only one kind of math.

Please list down all his mental symptoms at present.

Do you think his cognitive skills are deteriorating? Especially in maths and science?

Do you think he is becoming unsocial, reserved, close-mouthed or recluse?

Do you think his sense of hygiene is reduced?

Do you see any change in his interactive skills for the worse?

Has he started hating going to school?

He had all these symptoms and after we found out that he was being bullied in school everyday. That's when we decided to change his school and now in the new school he seems very happy. He made acquaintances but not a friend yet. All the symptoms have faded now but after attending the previous school he has developed a scare for science and math. He doesn't want to take it. He understands everything well but when different types of questions are given on the exam he can't figure out which one is which. I know he should be able to do it if he understand but funny thing is he does understand all the concepts individually.
We are looking at universities. He wants to study computers but the previous school experience was so negative that it's hard for him to know if he likes computers and math or not.
At least he likes his school, he likes the teachers and his peers. He is talking more.
I think the exam thing is somewhat cognitive. His therapist says that when he gets deep into something it's hard for him to come back to where he started from. It used to happen to me also. If I put a lot of effort into calculation I would forget why I was doing it and how it fits into the whole math.
His other thing is patience. He rushes into everything and thus can't do things in detai or misses points.

Dear Rishimba,
My son has acne and dandruff. His dandruff doesn't fall on his shoulders but if you look closely in his hair he has powder like dandruff. He gets acne on his face and back. Usually he gets one big pimple with a few small around it. They have puss in them.
Is there any remedy for him?

zee 9 years ago
You can try HEPAR SULPH 12C thrice for 2 to 3 days and see if he responds to the remedy.

Come back after a week if you observe no change.

Sorry Doctor. for writing after a long time. I was reading about my son's symptoms and it seems that his left brain function is poor and that is causing all the cognitive and memory difficulty. Is there any medicine to improve left brain function? On the other hand his right brain function is very strong. Btw, his acne improved. Thank you so much for your advice.

Describe his symptoms. In homeopathy, remedies are only selected on symptoms.

He has trouble putting his thoughts into words and then sequence the words to make a sentence. Therefore, sometimes his sentences don't make sense. His analytical skill is poor. He takes things literally. His opinion is based on other people's opinion. He doesn't have attention to detail. So he misses parts of a whole thing. He learns fast but can't retain for long. He can't tie his shoelaces and it seems that when he starts tying, at one point it's hard for him to understand where each lace is going. It's hard for him to get deep into a problem and come out of it by analyzing each small part and then coming back to the whole problem. Once he concentrates into the detail he gets frustrated as he can't find his way back to where he started. If you teach him one type of math, he can do it but if you tell him to apply the method to a different problem, he gets stuck.
He is an excellent map reader and his sense of direction is extremely strong. If he is interested in something he can do it well.
If he is stressed or upset he feels weak and sleepy and cannot perform. His main difficulty is his language, putting his thoughts into well formed sentence.

Dear Doctor,
I'm just wondering if you saw my post. Should I give him a dose?

zee 9 years ago
Yes, you may give one dose of PHOSPHORUS 10M.

Wait and watch his mental symptoms for the next one month and share with me.
