8 miscarriages - uterine scarring discoverd Page 3 of 5

Hi Nawaz

I hope that you are well?

I'm writing to tell you that i had my operation 9 days ago. When the camera went inside my uterus i had scar tissue in the fundus area which was pinching the top of my uterus together. The surgeon made one cut into it and it my whole uterus opened up to how it should be. There wasn't any scar tissue anywhere else but there was as tiny tiny tiny area of endometriosis which my consultant said was nothing to worry about.

The surgeon inserted a coil which keeps the uterine walls apart so they don't scar together again which will be taken out in 3 weeks time. I'm also on hormone tablets for 4 weeks to encourage my uterine lining to grow.

I've been taking Alumen 6X for over a week now. Is that ok? Should i continue with it?

Many thanks
Zoe

Hi Nawaz

I've taken the Staph 200c for three days now.

Mentally i've felt happier.

Physically i've had more energy for the last 2 days but i have been overly tired since the operation so not sure if it's just the effects of the op wearing off.

I hope that all is well with you?

Kind regards
Zoe

Hi Zoe,

You need to take Staph 200C for 2 more days. Please take as usual.

Also, you have a long life as I was looking at your case recently!

Please give more data now about your pregnancy and miscarriages? Down the road, in order to avoid any miscarriage, we will be taking a few homoeopathic remedies as we get there. Usually what month, the miscarriage had been happening?

What are the current thinking, goals, objectives and plans?

Please relax and take a good rest.

Staph 200C is helping your post operation issues.

A bundle of more prayers for your healthy life.

Regards
Nawaz

Hi Nawaz

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

During my first pregnancy i had an early scan at 6 weeks because i'd had some pain and it was discovered that i had a cyst on my left ovary - baby had a heartbeat but was measuring slightly small. I didn't have another scan until nearly 14 weeks when it was discovered that the baby had died at around about 8/9 weeks. I'd had no pain or bleeding. I had to have a D&C as i didn't miscarry naturally. The doctors looked at the baby to see if there was any reason for the miscarriage and discovered that it was a partial molar pregnancy (twins which didn't divide properly).

During my second pregnancy i had an early scan at 5 weeks because of my last miscarriage and found out that i was having twins. I went back for a scan at 6 weeks and there was only 1 heartbeat, the other baby hadn't developed. At 8 weeks pregnant i started spotting brown blood and after a scan was told that the heartbeat had stopped. I had to have two D&Cs after this as they missed tissue during the first D&C. I've now been told that it was during this D&C that i ended up with Ashermans Syndrome (uterine scarring) because the surgeon scrapped my uterus too hard.

Pregnancies 3 to 7 all ended before 5 weeks of pregnancy (natural miscarriage) and i've been told this is because of the scar tissue, there was basically no blood flow getting to the babies.

It was discovered after miscarriage 7 that i had severe ashermans. I had surgery to remove the scar tissue which was succesful. I tried to get pregnant naturally after this and it just didn't happen so i was told that i had to have IVF as there was a chance that the scar tissue could return if i left getting pregnant any longer. The first IVF failed, the second IVF was a cycle using frozen embryos from the first cycle and had to be cancelled as my uterine lining was too thin and my third cycle i got pregnant (still had a thin lining though).

During this last pregnancy i started spotting brown blood very early but was told that was common with women who'd had Ashermans and not to worry because my pregnancy hormones were going up nicely. At just before 6 weeks pregnant i went to the toilet during the night and had to be rushed to hospital because i was bleeding so much.

My consultant has told me that the baby didn't stand a chance because the area where embryos implant was just scar tissue so there was no blood flow getting to it. This scar tissue was removed during the operation and my consultant is happy that my uterus is healthy now.

My husband and i have been told that we should start IVF in a couple of months to give us the best chance.

I'd obviously love to get pregnant naturally and that is my biggest goal followed by carrying a healthy baby to term.

In the long term my husband and i know that we can't keep putting ourselves through this heartache and if we don't get pregnant soon we will go down the adoption route. It's being parents which is important to us and we know that there are lots of children in the world who we could be an amazing mum and dad too.

I hope this information has helped, if you need to know anything else please let me know.

Kind regards
Zoe

Mental - I'm generally feeling happy and good about life. I'm definitely more optimistic than usual.

Physical - I haven't really had anything out of the ordinary, no pain or twinges. The best description I can give is that i feel normal which is probably abnormal for me - hopefully that's a good sign?

Kind regards

Hi Nawaz

I thought that i'd update you on where i am in my treatment.

I went for my follow up appointment with my consultant last week and he said that in his opinion my uterus is now scar free and he has given me the green light to try and conceive. I also had my period last week, it was clot free and had a proper flow - it was the best period i've had in years.

I hope that all is well with you.

Kind regards
Zoe

Hi Nawaz

Sorry that i haven't contacted you for a while but it was our doctors opinion that we needed to start IVF in case any scar tissue re-formed.

I produced 13 eggs and 11 fertilised but there was only 2 which ended up at an okay quality. I also had problems with my lining thickening up and it only got to 8mm, which is what they look for during ivf but in my opinion isn't great.

This treatment has just ended with a chemical pregnancy, so the embryo implanted but stopped growing and only ever produced enough hcg to show up very very faintly on a home pregnancy test before it quickly went back to being negative within a couple of days.

That was our last chance with IVF as we can't afford anymore treatment. Is there anything you can do to help us?

I think my main issues are late ovulation and a thin lining.

Thank you for any help.

Thank you Nawaz.

Mental - At the moment i'm feeling sad and a bit lacklustre, like i haven't got anything to look forward to. I'm very much a summer person so i don't think the weather turning colder is helping my state of mind.

Physical - My doctor said that my lining looked smooth and scar free but it just wasn't getting thick enough, i'm not sure if this is because of slow blood flow (i feel generally very cold at the moment, especially my feet). My body is still taking a long time to ovulate each month, normally around day 21 but i get very few 'fertile' signs (lack of fertile cervical fluid). The pulling/stretching feelings are back in my uterus as well - a bit like someone flicking an elastic band.

Thank you for all of your kind words. I have faith that this will succeed.

Kind regards
Zoe
