Chronic masterbation in toddler

My 2.5 yr old dd has been masterbating since she was a year old. At first, she would lay over large rubber balls (toys) and roll back and forth on them. Now she lays across anything she can and rubs herself against it. She is particularly fond of corners of chairs and tables. While I understand that this can be a normal behavior for young children,
however, I am concerned because the behaviour can go nonstop for hours every day (yesterday it was 7 hours, the day before that 6 hours). During this time she refuses to eat or be distracted and becomes out of breath and sweaty. She screams and yells if you remove her from the object she is humping an going back to her behaviour no matter what we do to distract her. She has not been away from me ever (never left in the care of anyone else, even her father unattended) and has not been sexually abused. We have a very secure family with no stressers that I can see. She also has trouble sleeping, never falling asleep until 2AM and waking several times during the night shouting (usually she shouts 'go away', 'get off of me' or 'leave me alone' which are the same phrases she uses when we try to remove her from her masterbating), then falling back asleep. Any help would be appreciated as I believe this behaviour is no longer appropriate or healthy for her.

There is no vaginal irritation whatsoever. As a midwife, I feel that her vaginal area appears normal (no imperferate hymen, evidence of infection or discharge). Our home was built to be free from all petro-chemicals and most allergins (made necessary by my son's extreme chemical sensitivity following a chemical injury). Laundry is done in baking soda, baths are in plain water or Dr. Bronner's sensitive castle soap (which we use for hair also). I bathe her three times a week without incident (she likes to lie on her stomach in the tub). All clothing is cotton (underclothes are organic cotton). Her bedding and mattress are 100% cotton with a wooden bed frame. She sleeps in a fetal position on both sides, but insists on being cradled in my arms to go fall asleep. If she lies on her back, she insists on having both her head and her knees propped up (as in a pillow under her knees or her knees draped over something).

The medicine without a doubt is Carcinosin. Fetal position during sleep, early masturbation and insomnia in children all point to it very strongly.

Dissolve 1 pellet of Carcinosin 30C in 8 oz water, and then give her 1 spoon from there as dose. No more doses. Report status 4 days after this dose.

No eating or drinking 1 hour before and after this dose.

Good luck,
Sameer.

what dates of vaccinations and immunizations?what ones she have ?

what ills she have and how treated from birth to age 1 (just prior to current main complaint)?

John Stanton last decade
John, this is a clear case of Carcinosin.

This is from Foubister's study on Carcinosin.

Female - Masturbation, disposition. Too frequent or early masturbation.

Sleep - Chronic or acute insomnia, causeless, worse evenings after going to bed. Sleeplessness from anticipation or anxiety. Child must be carried or rocked to sleep. Insomnia from grief, mental activity. Sleeps in the knee-chest position . Sleeps on abdomen. Sleeps with arms over head. Genu-pectoral position during sleep, on knees with face forced into pillow. Children sleep on their knees and elbows.

Child was born at home in completely natural pregnancy/birth. I am a midwife and never saw a physician during my pregnancy (thus no drugs). Birth was very fast (~5-8 minutes from first contraction to baby out). Placenta was extremely small, and umbilical cord very short (too short to allow baby to be born). Baby was a little 'shocky' at first (due to placenal separation during crowning), I administered arnica then carbo veg (as she was bluish). Child has never had an illness (not even a flu), never seen a physician (never needed to), and never been vaccinated. We eat only organic foods, but she does love sugar/chocolate and I have had to restrict them in her diet (we have to hide them or she eats uncontrollably). She was exclusively breastfed to 1 year old. She cut first 4 teeth all at once when 4.5 months old (very early for my children). She is also a very early talker. Recently weaned at 2 yrs, 4 months. She is very affectionate and especially loves giving tight hugs.
I really appreciate your opinion Sameer, where can I get Carcionosin?

clear case or not--it is required we take data--i find data in the least shows us tendencies--so as gain understnd of dis-ease workings..thu is my way ---patints parent will do as they may--perhaps u need sway her---no matter to me either way...i been taughht by old school---and besides carcinocin as prescription w9ithout details--alows too much room for mismangament of case--if it does whta u want--then ok--if not then what next?

Dear John,

I did not mean any offense.

I too insist on getting as much information as possible, but in this case the case is very clearly pointing to Carc. Your input is very much appreciated. Do you think some other remedy is indicated ?

Dear gentlemother, which country do you reside in ?

I am in USA. For what it's worth, the masterbatory behaviour started as soon as she was able to do so. It was probably a bit younger than a year (perhaps 10-11 months) and right around the time she started to crawl. Crawling would have been very new to her when she figured out how to rub herself on things. Her sleep position is fetal (on either side with knees curled up) or on back with knees propped up (she likes to lie on her back and put her knees up on my abdomen if she's sleeping beside me). I have another child who sleeps in the genu-pectoral position... this child does not, she does however insist on being rocked to sleep and does sometimes sleep for short periods on her abdomen (with legs extending flat). She is an incredibly bright child, earlier at most developmental milestones than all my children and unstoppable when she wants something. She will literally climb any height to get what she wants (sometimes getting things out of cupboards 7 feet high!). Just prior to her pregnancy, I experienced a life-threatening late-term miscarriage and spent many months in intense grief. Her pregnancy was much wanted and much rejoiced (although it was a considerable emotional adjustment when we found out that she was a girl as we had truly wanted and expected a boy). It was an incredibly healthy pregnancy with no maternal complaints whatsoever. Thank you both so much for your help! It's getting hard to explain this behaviour to our friends LOL.

A nosode in 3oth potency is very dangerous to be taken.Symptoms are seems to be linked with bladder infection.Urine Analysis can clear the right pathology.

Dr.Tahira

Dr Tahira last decade
Thank you Dr. Tahira. Can you please explain why taking the nosode in the 30th potency is dangerous? I do not want to do anything that could cause harm, obviously. I did do a urine dip a few weeks ago and it was negative. Urine PH is also within range. I did think of a few other characteristics (not to muddy the waters any more than they already are). 1) she frequently complains that the calves of her legs hurt at night (sometimes even waking to complain that she needs a hot bath because they hurt). She is better for heat on them (I use warm compresses or a warm bath) or having her calves and feet massaged. 2) she is intensly hungry, often eating every 2 hours and even sometimes waking in the middle of the night (4-5AM) to insist that I take her to the kitchen and feed her. She tends to eat smaller portions, however, as she loses interest in the food after a few bites.
3). She is always lulled to sleep when riding in the car.
I don't know if these symptoms mean anything, but my homeopath (who I can no longer afford at $600 a visit) typically takes down any symptom I can think of so I figured maybe a few more symptoms wouldn't hurt. There is a strong family history of cancer on both sides with two of my grandparents and brother having had it and on my husband's side, his grandfather had it.

gentlemother last decade
One more thing...she is very afraid of spiders (often talking about how they are going to hurt her) although no other member of the family is afraid of them or makes a big deal out of them.

You can buy Carcinosin 30C from here.

blank">http://www.elixirs.com/products.cfm?productcode=S94F

Just for clarification, there is ABSOLUTELY no danger at all in a 30C potency. Beyond 6C, there is not even a single molecule of the original substance.

Gentlemother, follow the instructions exactly.

put 1 pellet of Carcinosin 30C in a 250 ml spring water bottle. Do not touch the pellet . Put it directly in the cap of the vial it comes in, and from there into the spring water bottle.
Let it dissolve. Turn the bottle upside down a few times to shake it.
Then 1 spoon from there using a disposable spoon is the dose.

Report status 4 days after this single dose.

Sameer.

Dear Gentle Mother,
The symptoms u mentioned are very important.May be she needs Carcinosin in a safe potency as an intercurrent because of a family history of Cancer in ur family.Rightnow after studying the case,I will recommend 'Tarentula Hispanica' just one dose in 2ooc for a single day.It is covering all her symptoms including fear of Spiders.

Dr Tahira last decade
one more thing, avoid her nuts and fish for a little time and report the status.

Dr.Tahira

Dr Tahira last decade
Dear Dr. Tahira,

Carcinosin does not require a family history of Cancer to be indicated. Cancer is not a miasm. Carcinosin patients have the 'intensity and chaos' of cancer as a disease. i.e. They have a cancer type personality. It maybe indicated when any two of the miasms are active. Carcinosin is just a constitutional remedy and is not like Med, Tub. or Syphillinum.

Tarentula is not at all indicated here.

Sameer.

sameervermani last decade
selection of the remedy comes later.

whether its carcinocin or any other remedy will be known if we fist try to find out the pathogenesis and how this tendency has manifested itself.

probably, if the cause is known, it will help in curing the tendency.

rishimba last decade
i think dr. tahira'a approach is correct.

one shouldnt jump the gun and suggest a nosode without understanding the totality.

rishimba last decade
Dear Rishimba,

Please try to study carcinosin in detail, tne then when you understand the remedy, we shall talk.

Sameer.

sameervermani last decade
i think i know carcinosin well as other remedies.

moreover, i am not arguing that carcinocin is indicated or not.

in this case, the symptoms is only the manifestation of a certain pathogenesis.

it could be related to any chronic irregularity in the blader.

its always better to understand the development of the disease, if you treat this one like a disease.

once you are sure, there is nothing behind the presenting symtoms, you can suggest a remedy on the presenting symptoms.

however, i would prefer, if at all, a nosode with a higher potency, at least 200c if at all its indicated.

It appears that both Carcinosin and Tarentulla are indicated here. The mother should decide quickly and provide the relief to the toddler. If nosode (carcinosin) creates anxiety she may go for the other option. Platina and lachesis may also work.

Carcinosinum.

Carcinomin. The nosode of Carcinoma.

Clinical.─Cancer Melancholia. Worms.

Characteristics.─This is one of the principal nosodes of cancer, and is one of Dr. Burnett's preparations. I use it more frequently than any other as a diathesic remedy. Burnett had a number of different cancer preparations, and followed his instinct largely in their use and selection. In addition to Scirrhinum, of which I have given an account in the Dictionary, he had a preparation which he named Durum (a Latinised form of Scirrhinum, as I take it). This he used in treating depraved inherited conditions in children, such as infantile self-abuse, with good effects, which I have confirmed. I have met with a suicidal tendency in several cancer patients, so that the cancer nosodes may be appropriate in many mental cases, especially where the heredity points that way.

Relations.─Compare: Scirrhinum.

Dear all,

I have made my prescription, and I stick by it. All the symptoms of this case are KEYNOTES of Carcinosin. I would stick by the 1 pellet in 8oz method using the '30C'.

I leave it upto gentlemother to decide.

'It appears that both Carcinosin and Tarentulla are indicated here. The mother should decide quickly and provide the relief to the toddler. If nosode (carcinosin) creates anxiety she may go for the other option. Platina and lachesis may also work.
'

Only one remedy is indicated at one point of time , and the rmedies you are talking of DO NOT HAVE INSOMNIA of toddlers. Insomnia of toddlers , fetal sleep position and early masturbation will not be covered by these remedies in totality. Moreover the use of Carcinosin as a nosode is a very shallow view of the remedy. It is one of the great polychrests which can be indicated when two of three miasms are active and the symptoms correspond to a number of remedies but totality does not point to any single remedy. The remedies being Staph. Ars. Nat-m , Sepia , Puls., Tub, Med. and Phos.

Here she does have sexual precocity of Med. but her sleeplessness is not covered by Med., which ofcourse is not a medicine which I would use as a first prescription anyways.

Anyways , I have said enough , and know what will cure her . It is upto the mother to decide.

eft would work for the spider phobia as for the chronic masterbation that would take a bit more work maybe. she is almost 3 and intelligent so try speaking to her about it in a non threating way. and do eft on yourself before you go to her. i am sure you have issues that need clearing ie. embarressment ect. it would help all involved. eft is very easy to learn and can work very quickly in alot of cases. there are lot of testimonials from parents so check it out.
www.emofree.com
shows you how to do it and it is free.

Thank you Rana! I am a hypnotherapist and have used eft for a while now. I don't know why the eft hasn't worked on her (perhaps I should try it remotely ie. using myself in place of her?), but it hasn't. She is a truly sweet child and I had thought for a long while that perhaps this was something she needed to do (in the same way some children suck their thumbs), but I am now starting to wonder if there isn't a deeper clearing that needs to happen.
