My toddler needs help - AGAIN
He is 20 month old and he has a cold again. His nasal discharge is greenish in color and thick and stringy in nature. His cough is hoarse and is sounds like has a congestion in his chest. I can almost hear the rattling. He has white/greenish discharge at the corner of his eyes. He is active, playful and happy otherwise. Can any of the practitioners here diagnose him please? I have asked for your help so many times and I thank you for your suggestions once more.

recurrring cold---if treated wrong prior--to this current ill---and eyes symptoms are new--then dose pulsatilla
♡ John Stanton last decade
kali birch is what I was thinking of as well till I read John's post -- Now I am confused. The eye symptoms are there for 2-3 days. Also please write about the dosage of pulsatilla?
nineclouds last decade
if u deem pulsatilla symptoms matching then ---single dose pulsatila-- 1 pellet 30c in 4 oz watwr--stir--1 teaspoon dose--
kali bi is good choice also--but need distiguish between--
points that p0int to pulsatilla (if valid) ---eyes affected during cold as concomitant--recurring--which could be kali bi also---if recuring cold very easily thisis pulsatilla--definitely pulsatilla if long continued--if last cold was treted wrongly--suppressed in any way then pulsatila is choice---if cough is due to mucous from back part of nose drain--then not puylsatila---
sort through info and see --also other ifno woud help--se excat state--appetite?how u noticed cahnge sine cold satrted? how last cold treated?how lng ago last cold?what were exact symptos last cold?what exact diferneces u not between this cold and last?what observed as coinciding with this current cod?last cold?trigger and such?/

The reasons I would prefer Kal Bich. in this case are two fold.
a) The pulsatilla child generally becomes clingy and whiny in an illness, but you mentioned he is very happy and active.
b)The discharge is stringy- a big Kali Bich. keynote.

I went with my instinct and John's explaination of eye dischage and gave him Kali Bich. It helped him considerably. After 48hrs, his green mucus from the nose has reduced considerably. His nose is not stuffy anymore. The white/greenish discharge from his eyes have disappeared as well.
But his cough has increased. Its a gagging, choking cough - it comes in short succession and his cough his loud and sounds like a bark almost. His mucus is loose and when he coughs, I feel it is coming up.
Again, he is happy, playful and very active. His food intake, water intake, sleep is good as well.
Should I wait and watch? Or should I give him something else? Is it ok to give another medicine so soon after one med?
Thank you again for your help to both John and Sameer.

These are the indications that the remedy is appropriate. Don't do anything now.
Wait for John.

I noticed a bit late that it is Sameer who presribed Kali.bich first.
John too has made some good observations.
Wait for their advice.

UPDATE - My toddler has fever now. It is around 100-101. It came about suddenly, he has red face and is clinging to me. His nasal discharge is white and clear. His cough is the same - loose, rattling, and comes on suddenly. He was playful in the morning but when he woke up from sleep, he had fever and the new symptoms. His cheek is red and eyes look watery and tired. He is restless and not so active anymore.
Please suggest what to do. Going to his pediatrician is my last option.

Sudden onset, redness, cold extremities point me to Belladona. Leave it to Sameer and John...

I am very confused - I will write the symptoms that I see right now and Please advise accordingly.
My son has hot cheeks - both are red, but its very cold here, so it can be because of dry skin. He has fever of around 100. His cough is gagging and comes on suddenly - when he coughs, I can hear the mucus in his chest - He is trying to bring it up but is unable to do so.
He is active otherwise, except for when he has the fever. The fever comes mostly at night and goes away around 8-9 in the morning. His nose has white water like discharge. He is not sneezing much - but his cough is more frequent.
Should I give Nux-vom or Chasmomilla?

what mental -emotional change occur since kali bi?
stool and urination affected inwhat way? thirst ?appetite?

♡ John Stanton last decade
No major emotional change noted except for when he has fever he is clingy and lethargic. Otherwise he is active. He has stuffy/runny nose which is almost constant. His mucus is white and thick. His temperature has been 99 all morning.
His thirst, appetite, stool and urine has been normal. I cannot see how much mucus coming out when coughing because he cannot throw it out but I can hear it come up to his mouth and then he gulps it back. He has congestion in his chest which is making him cough suddenly.

I wanted to add that with the holiday season, everything will close down and we are concerned about that. Also we are travelling after 3 days to New Jersey and it is very cold there - Please do not think that I am trying to hurry or look for a quick fix cure - but wanted to let you know our plans in the future and ask for sugegstion as to how to prepare for the trip.
