| I am 49 years old, had a total hysterectomy 4-5 years ago. Never had a problem with sleeping or blood pressure until then. Now my blood pressure is 170/90. I have terrible hot flashes. I need something for all these symptoms, what do you recommend. |

Please consult a competent local homeopath. A full case with all the symptoms is to be taken, before suggesting the medicine.

Clinical, phenomena, hypertension.
Generalities, modalities, operations, after.
If we combine these two symptoms then the remedy of first importance is stront-carb.I do not find any reason why it cannot be prescribed. In case of failure consult a nearby classical homeopath.

Oh Sajjad Bhai,
Murthy has commercial interests in mind when he is suggesting people to leave this forum and go to a Classical homeopath.

People post their problems for help though There may be lot of homeopath in their vicinity.
My aim is to help people not to gain popularity. I never think of it. Financially I am sound. On another forum I am said to be part of "gang".Murthy is an educated person. I cannot expect from him.

Hi Sajjadakram
That was for fun. : )
I used the word Gang in he following sense.
informal body of friends
Of course, it has another meaning too.
An association of criminals.
Which in any case won't apply to you.
Any way, sorry if you felt offended.

I have Murphy and if I take the same two symptoms as you did,
There are atleast 3 options with a total of 3 or more.
Nux.v(3),Phos(3), and stront.c(4)
How do you decide which one will help?
you need more symptoms. When you get more symptoms, the medicines indicated may be quite different.
Is it wise to prescribe on the two or three symptoms presented by the patient?
Is it not correct to ask more questions?
Many patients don't reveal much, and they tell very briefly what they feel important. But, as homeopaths, we know, lot more information is needed.
Please understand it is not an acadamic exercise what we are doing here.,to go to the repertory with these two rubrics, and suggest the medicine, that results.
Will you do the same thing, if this patient comes to your clinic?
Will you suggest Stont.c straight away ,based on these two rurics?
Won't you ask more questions?
Moreover cases of hypertension are to be monitored closely, and the allopathic medication adjusted frequently, depending on the response to the medicine.
Internet is not a place, to handle such things. That is why I suggested to go and see a homeopath.
We can offer our suggestions here, to be cross checked by the patients.
But, beyond that, let the patient decide what to do.

It has a great tendency to produce congestion. The arteries dilate to make room for the increased rush of blood and throb with the excitement of the great rush. Timely administration of Strontiana carb. will remove such tendency and save the patient.

The manegement of hypertensive patient is not an easy job. Some times it is dangerous and can cause damages beyond repair. It is better for you to be under the supervision of the qualified and experienced homeopath and in case of any emergency rush to the hospital.
Here it is difficult to cure because we cannot be available all the time.
No doubt we suggest to the best of our knowledge but still look for the alternate otherwise you will suffer.

One doctor I went to prescribed an ACE inhibitor for my blood pressure. After further investigation and research on ACE inhibitors, I realized that my high blood pressure is probably a symptom of menopause which is brought on immediately by the total hysterectomy. I am looking for an alternative to prescription ACE inhibitors, without the side effects that they create.

ARISTOLOCHIA CLEMATITIS is the only remedy mentioned in the repertory for number of problems arising after hysterectomy .Dr O.A.JULIAN in his book “Dictionary of homeopathic materia medica” mentioned its suitability for congestive headache (which most of the time is due to hypertension). It is a rare medicine.
