Ankolysing Spondalitis- Remedies?

Hi,

Is this complication is somewhat relaxed condition? Are Ferrum Phos. & Calc. Fluor. relevant remedies for this difficult disorder?

Best wishes

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am just checking: are you able to read it?

I can read it

If we look deeply, can this problem be related to excess absorption of Iron, calcium & other minerals. Higher stomach acid unables the better digestion resulting better absorption of minerals.Higher iron can promote relexed coditions(FP)& reddned parts.Calc.Fluor is good remedy to treat relexed condition & create elasticity.

All these symptoms can be suggestive of three remedies i.e. Nat.Phos., Ferrum Phos. & Calc.Fluor.

Do you know any homeopathic remedy which has symptoms of all these three remedies?

It looks all these three remedies based on tissue remedies system may be helpful if one combined remedy is not there. What about Phyt.?

Hi Logical

Despite your best efforts to revive the topic,it looks like there are no takers.

Why does it happen? We don't know.Or do we?

I think, it is relevant:-
"Fluorosis - Early Warning Signs

and Diagnostic Test
by A. K. Susheela

Bulletin of the Nutrition Foundation of India

Vol. 10:2, April 1989
Ever since fluorosis was detected in India in the early 1930s, it has been considered a disease affecting exclusively the teeth and bones. Diagnosis of the disease when it affects the teeth can be made from overtly visible discoloration and does not pose any problem. However, in skeletal fluorosis, there have been practical problems and difficulties in early detection.

The diagnosis of skeletal fluorosis, until recent years, was made with the help of radiographs which reveal interosseous membrane calcification, enhanced bone density, and bone mass. These are, however, late characteristics of the disease. Recognizing the disease at such late stages does not help prevention. The disease is usually irreversible by then.

Due to extensive field studies and basic researches conducted in this country, it is now possible to identify subjects living in endemic areas for fluorosis and having early warning signs due to fluoride toxicity. It is also possible to conduct a blood test for early detection and differentiation from other bone disorders.

Early warning systems and signs: The early warning signs of fluoride toxicity are the following: nausea, loss of appetite, gas formation and nagging pain in the stomach, chronic diarrhoea, chronic constipation, persistent headache. The gastro-intestinal system is one of the most sensitive systems in the body to react adversely to fluoride toxicity. It is possible that an individual may have either one or a few of the complaints listed above. There are any number of case histories now available to establish the correlation of fluoride toxicity and gastro-intestinal problems. Other early complaints relate to the neuro-muscular systems.

These are: unusual fatigue, loss of muscle power and weakness and pain, excessive thirst and frequent urination, depression, tingling sensation in fingers and toes.

The teeth, though not discolored, tend to fall off and an individual may become endentulous at an early age. Allergic manifestations are also likely. Most of these manifestations are, no doubt, nonspecific, but their occurrence in subjects living in fluorosis-endemic areas should alert suspicion. These early warning signs have been extremely helpful in early detection of large numbers of cases in rural areas; prompt intervention programs (i.e., providing safe drinking water) in these cases have provided considerable relief within a short span of time.

Diagnostic test for fluorosis: It has been established that fluoride therapy brings about certain biochemical abnormalities in the bone matrix with reference to two important matrix constituents viz. sialic acid (SA) and glycosaminoglycans (GAG). As it is not possible to delve into biochemical deviations of the bone tissue for diagnostic purposes, the circulatory levels of SA and GAG are assessed. The test is designated as SA/GAG test. The value of SA/GAG will be reduced to almost 30 percent compared to normal, in fluoride toxicity and fluorosis.

The test is useful in distinguishing fluorosis from ankylosing spondylitis, a clinical condition which has manifestations almost similar to that of fluorosis. The value for SA/GAG will be significantly elevated in ankylosing spondylitis, unlike in fluorosis where it is depressed. The SA/GAG value shows no significant change in arthritis, osteoporosis and spondylosis. This test ought to be introduced as a routine blood test in hospital laboratories located in endemic states for fluorosis so that misdiagnosis of fluorosis and ankylosing spondylitis which is quite common, can be avoided."

sticking to the 12 bio salts form this discussion--as observe is mission here...

calcarea phosphoricum and ferrum phosphoricum are suited for this condition...what will be noted is phosphorous as a mineral in this dis-eaese and its play or lack of in this condition...

if syphlytic genetic dispostion you will see the perversions of the bone structure envolved--this calc flour and silica will be of use..but not to eliminate the use of natrum phos and calc phos in these cases..

Hello John,

Thanks.Think about basic three constitutions for systematic effects.NP,NS,NM-looks to be prime remedies for three constitutions/constitutional defects. CP,FP are also related to gastric acidity-in relation to calcium, iron, but phos may take care for all. Some Symptoms also mathes with sil. but lack of elasticity, stiffness, hardness, agg.with water is more related to CF, whereas Sil.like water so better with water.

please elaborate on your point concerning "...NP,NS,NM-looks to be prime remedies for three constitutions/constitutional defects...."

considering ankylosing spondylitis as only a diagnostic name and common localities/symptomolgy used to identify such.....

100 % envolves the sacro iliac joint is affected----this gives indication for calc-p;nat-p; and silica

75 % envolves cervical region...,calc-phos;calc sulph;ferr-p;kali-p;kali-s;mag-p;nat-m;nat-s;sil..

Nat.Phos., Nat.Sulph., Nat.Mur related to Stomach acidity, bile & pancreatc sodium bicarbonate secretion. These are also related to imbalanced water creation, removal & balancing in system.
All constitutional & chronic & acute complication should initially & primarily be related to pH imbalances. Pls think about ayurvedic ancient constitutions i.e. Vata,Pitta & Kapha.

Thanks for other information. To understand mineral basis of remedies is important to compare with physiological & pathological aspects.

In this case previous dreams of snakes & blood are related to Sil. & Ferrum Phos. respectively. I can't yet relate dreams of urine etc.

the above two list of additional tissue salts/remedies are also there. but i think 12 are sufficient as these covers about 95% of total body's elements & i think if 95% are take care off. other balance 5% should be corrected by itself. i am bit doubtful about nitrogen as it is about 3% of nody composition but no where covered in 12 tissue salts. but kali sulp. seemsto be related to it.
