Please help me with my acne...

I am a 27 year old female and have suffered from cystic acne since my teen years.

I breakout primarily on my back (all over, but more towards the upper areas), the back of my neck (especially around my hairline), my upper arms and shoulders, my upper chest and my face (mostly around my mouth, chin, jawline; sometimes on my forehead, nose and hairline).

The breakouts are generally reddish-pink and very painful.

My condition was under contol (but not eliminated) when I took antibiotics during my teen years, when I was on birth control, and when I lived in Hawaii (I think the high humidity helped). I did use Proactiv for a couple of years and it seemed to work. However, I moved from warm and humid Hawaii to dry Colorado 10 months ago and my acne has become worse than ever. (This is when I started breaking out on my upper arms and upper chest. In the past these areas were not a problem.) The Proactiv completely stopped working and I do not want to go back to antibiotics or birth control.

Of course my breakouts are always worse when I am on my period or under great stress. My condition is genetic, as my sibling shares the same struggle.

I fall asleep easily and sleep deep most nights.

I have not been able to pin-point any links to food. I try to drink 60-80 oz. of filtered water daily.

I have not suffered any major diseases in the past. I am generally a healthy person and do not get sick often.

I have not had any reactions to medications taken.
