Safi, the blood purifier

I remember having read in one of the thread that Safi was recommended to be use along with the homeopathic remedy.

After listening to an half-an-hour coverage of the high metal contents in the Unani/Ayrvedic popular brands used as a blood purifier and high steroid levels in their cough syrups, I thought that I must apprise you about it.

Safi is not safe.

Today NDTV (a TV Channel in India) presented a detailed report on the findings of a survey where popular blood purifiers and cough syrups marketed by Unani & Ayurvedic products manufactures in India were subjected to thorough analytical check.

It was found that while Safi had very high Arsenic contents, other blood purifier products showed high mercury contents.

All most all cough syrups (ayrvedic/unani) had
high steroid contents according to the NDTV report.

Even some countries have also found high metal contents and have taken step to restrict their imports into their country.

Safi is a product of an Ayurvedic/Unani Company known as 'Hamdard' and is mainly
based in India and Pakistan.

I trust you will find the NDTV survey report educating.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Of-course it is not safe, that's why I stopped recommending. Contents wise it is an excellent thing but because of contaminents in the ingredients and water made it unsafe.

NDTV report can also be a triggered one by some pharma companies.

It is to be diluted in water and then taken....they are talking of ppm in the original med. On dilution ppm gets reduced.

Best wishes,

I agree with Pankaj. Many studies are fabricated by big pharma for the purpose of undermining confidence in natural medicines that work. I've used Safi successfully -- never longer than the prescribed 2 weeks -- to lose weight, clear up my skin, and feel more energized. I trust it more than almost anything an american doctor could give me. Is it true that american medical schools give their students only two hours of education on nutrition? And that what they really learn is which pharma products to prescribe in order to mask (or redirect) various symptoms, without concern for the true cause(s) of the imbalance? I think its probably true; Doctors in America are brainwashed into supporting the pharmaceutical industry, and patients are brainwashed into believing everything their brainwashed doctors tell them. Furthermore, cynicism is such a mainstay in the culture, that all they have to do is suggest that natural and alternative therapies are naive, and everyone nods in unison. So afraid of being fooled by some pie-in-the-sky vision, they leave themselves wide open to being fooled into cynicism by big pharma. Say la vie!

American doctors are given years of training, and yes, though they are not exposed to natural remedies as much as third world country doctors, they are not against them unless the remedies pose health risks. They observe the contents and will tell you from there if they are recommended or not, so please, unless you yourself are an American Pharmacist, don't make assumptive idiotic claims! But yes, Safi is still dangerous

MD guy,

Most people give knee-jerk reactions when they hear an unconventional viewpoint, especially where medicine is concerned. Most people respect authority, and they'll obey without question the mainstream institutions of whatever time and place they were born into. Most people go through life that way; fully trusting that their doctor is well-informed and will apprise them of the latest in medical wisdom; so there's no reason to do independent thinking or research. I sympathize. It's not easy to step back, and step outside the box. For most people, it's the hardest thing. You risk becoming an outsider, and most people want almost nothing more than to belong. If there's something they want more, it's to have a solid identity, stemming from a solid worldview. But once you start questioning, your worldview and identity are likely to undergo some upheavals. That's pretty scary. So I don't blame you. I really don't. But if you're ready to think for yourself and question authority, I direct you to the documentary 'The Gerson Miracle'. That's a good place to start. Then look up Dr. Richard Schulze. I've logged hundreds of hours studying, not just 'natural remedies', but the healing properties of foods.

If your doctor isn't talking to you about juicing, he's not a healer. He's trained to treat your symptoms, not the source of disease. He's trained to drug you and cut you up. He knows zilch about prevention, and has no idea that people are being cured of Cancer by changing their diets. The proof is out there. Don't make assumptions. Do the research for yourself. See the truth. Or stay where you're comfortable. It's up to you.

Even the ones who open their minds to this stuff don't usually do it until they're dying at the hands of their doctors. Many more just believe their doctor when he hands them a death sentence, and they think they're in good hands, while he drugs them and subjects them to radiation. This stuff is barbaric, and someday we'll laugh at it. Someday we'll realize we have the power to heal ourselves. I'm telling you, you don't need to know everything about chlorophyll and photosynthesis to grow a garden, and you don't need to know the minutia of biology to be a healer. This is wisdom and truth. This could save your life and the lives of people you love. This could add decades to your life. Or, you could just call me names. I repeat, the choice is yours, and it's no skin off my back. I'm already healthier than I ever dreamed I could be. Take care of yourself.

To Novalis, truly agree. I've always been a very ill person in all sorts of ways in and out of my body and i'm so sick of going to the doctor. not that i dont believe them but one gyne i;ve been to 3 years ago has overdosed me with antibiotics meant for STD before he got the blood result when I only candida overgrowth bec my immune system was so down with exhaustion, i was addicted to mushrooms and wouldn't eat food without it, was eating so much cheese etc etc. He gave me free medication when I got back bec the little problem I had got so worse. I thought he was nice to tell his secretary dont let me pay. But I realised later on, he overdosed me and gave me wrong medication before he should.Ive researched and researched, now I don't have candida outbreaks

and if in case i do,..i know how to deal with it.
It's all about the food we eat, the health of our gut and the stress level that we put ourselves into.
I've been diagnosed with 'they thought was cancer- glad it wasn't' colitis. Right after that I had a visit to a homeopathy - Erethic Nerve Impulse Treatment Master and asked me to do some cleansing. That was 2 years ago. I ahven't visited a doctor since then, not that I'm feeling perfectly alright but I've been doing my best to think for myself. I respect western medicine but I do believe the power of 'kitchen based' natural medicines and changing diet. I stumbled upon this conversation bec I saw a SAfi bottle in one indian supplied grocery here in dubai and i bought it but haven't tried. I'm gonna try this and see if my skin will get better. Will drink 2-3 liters of water everyday. Hope it works.

Dear Novalis, Thankyou for your valued information. I am in absolute agreement with you. I may not be able to express myself with as many words, but yes my experience is something that I would like to share in brief.
I was diagnosed with Auto-Immune Disorder leading to Scleroderma in 2006 and trust me my life came to a standstill when my doctor informed me that there is no cure only control. However, thanks to my mother who believed in Homeopathic treatment and she took me to her consultant and then there was no looking back... my life is no less than a miracle today. I feel healthier and my reports are clear and have no signs of the disease. In the meantime I have done a lot of research and study on various alternative treatments and also the role of diet in our routine life and there I agree with what you have said in your post....
Dear MDboy, no offence but your approach to Novalis itself shows your naivity on the subject....

I agree it might be a pharma controversy but also it can be due to pesticide, herbicide, etc. Remember there is lot of mercury in fish due to pollution.

Personally I went to doctor to doctor, they only cure the symptoms and not the underlying cause.

After going in circles I found out I have Candidiasis by checking the symptoms. I took Safi for blood purification. It is better to dilute it in water (300 ml) for a tablespoon of Safi.

Also this will cause massive Candidiasis death and will cause gigantic abscesses, flu like Symptoms, morning fatigue. It is called Herxheimer reaction.

I take Vitamin C pill, yoghurt, Yakult, garlic to prevent the die off and yeast symptoms. Safi and Yakult heped a lot and I just wanted to add my two cents.

Don't forget to drink lot of water to clean up and some say use Isphagol too.
