Remedies from India

Hi all,

Good news for many of you is that we are planning to start supplying remedies from within India shortly.

This will be of use to people living in India (of course) but also the surrounding countries. (NB It will be much less useful to anyone living in Europe or America because of high shipping costs.)

I wonder if anyone living in the region can tell me:
a) where you are based
b) whether you'd prefer prices to be quoted and charged in US dollars or Indian rupees. And whether the other option would create any difficulties for you.
c) whether you normaly make online purchases with a credit card or some other means.

General comments also welcome.

Have a nice day all. Thanks for your input!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Simon,

You will be doing a service to all who wish to use Homeopathic remedies by sourcing your remedies from India where they are sold at a price that is a fraction of the price that they are sold throughout the world. This will, I hope serve to make Homeopathy more popular and available to all who will visit the ABC, who can use the Homeopathic Remedies Store to get their supplies from India. All it requires is an organization in say Mumbai who will be able to ship the remedy in plastic sachets as all that is necessary to make a remedy is just 3 pellets of the remedy which is inserted into a 500ml bottle of Spring Water and after they dissolve the water is succussed and a teaspoonful of the remedy is used as the dose. Remedies can easily be shipped by airmail and all that is required is about 25 No 20 pellet of the remedy ordered in a cellophane sachet which can be inserted into an airmail envelope and posted to any destination in the world at a nominal cost.

I do not know the protocol for sending Homeopathic remedies in this manner to Europe and the US but I do not think that the customs will be able to detect the remedies in an envelope as they will be passed off as a standard letter. You may like to know that I have sent many remedies to patients throughout the world in this manner, free of charge including postage under registered cover, whenever they inform me that they cannot get remedies like Bacillinum, Tuberculinum, Opium and others which are banned in their countries. I send them in the higher potencies when there is absolutely no trace of the original remedy traceable in the pellets and even if they are detected in the mail they would not cause any infringement of any laws.

The ABC Is doing a great service today to make Homeopathy popular to the masses and judging by the rapid turnover of a page on the forum where a thread disappears in about 2-3 days, it is obvious that many thousands read it daily. I believe that it will double its readership if this idea of supplying remedies in the manner that I have indicated is done and the prescribers on this forum who are dedicated to making Homeopathy more popular will be able to advise patients who post an ailment to order their remedies from the ABC store in India.

As I stated above you will be doing a great service to patients and I am surprised that someone did not think of this idea many years ago where you use the remedies which are freely available in India to supply the world with their requirements. Purchases can be dose as usual by Credit Card and prices can be quoted in US Dollars.

As you are aware I live in Sri Lanka and if I can be of any assistance in promoting this idea, you can count on my assistance.

Moderator!
it is a great thing you are doing. we need quality and prompt service. it is often difficult to get homeo medicines in many areas. i live in southeast coast of india. we pay only in indian rupees and not in dollars. credit cards have become popular, though most of the payments are made by draft, cheques, cash etc. also there is a provision with post office wherein you can send parcels and collect money from the buyer.

Thanks for your feedback, everyone.

Joe,
a) Have you ever bought anything from India, priced in Rupees, with a Sri Lankan credit card?
b) We'll have to stick a customs label on it. I think the reason there is no one making remedies available to the West from India is that the shipping cost makes it unattractive. It's great what you're doing, but if people are paying for something, they want to receive it promptly, and be able to track it on its way. The way the world is going though, I wouldn't be surprised if the shipping cost decreased over the next few years.

Muruganrsa,
thank you, we'll look into the post office system.

I thought I have read in previous threads where indication is given that sometimes remedies are not reliable from certain companies I thought it was from India, but I can't be sure.

I think Joe might be able to give feedback on this.

Clarification:

What I mean by reliable source is that the remedies themselves are unreliable.

Simon,

I have not purchased anything in Indian Rupees using my CC. They will however accept payment in US Dollars and this will therefore not pose any problem.

I really do not think that it is necessary that a customs label is stuck on a normal airmail envelope if the method that I suggested of sending about 25 pellets of the remedy is used to ship the remedy which can be activated upon receipt by the user by using just 3 pellets of the remedy in a 500ml bottle of spring water. I know that many patients and even homeopaths are not aware of this method of activating a remedy but Dr Luc de Schepper who introduced me to it about a year ago when he was with me in Sri Lanka emphasized that this was not his idea as it was recorded in Hahnemann's sixth edition.

Judging by the cost effectiveness of this method of shipping that I mentioned above, I do not agree that the patient would mind getting the remedy by normal post instead of by courier which alone will cost about $25 for any package. As against this charge a standard airmail letter will cost about $0.40 and delivery will be made in about a week to the EU and in 10 days to the US.

Please bear in mind that the main idea in this exercise is to make Homeopathy available to all and the ABC will play a key role in bringing Homeopathy to the Millions which we must attempt to do by making the availability of the remedies as cheap as is possible.

I envisage that a remedy which will cost $6.50 will cost under $3.00 delivered to the patient in the EU or in the US by airmail.

I shall count on you to work on this idea positively which is to provide the patient with a remedy at a low price and thereby ensure the popular spread of Homeopathy to the masses.

To Paris

I have about 500 remedies in my stock which I have collected throughout the past 15 years. I have got them all from India and I have never had any problem with them as they have always worked and helped cure many patients.

Yes there are fake medicines in circulation in India...so sourcing is important.

Sometimes reputed pharmacies also get cheated.

I get mine from the Zorastrian Pharmacy and they have all been absolutely 100% in quality and a 10ml dropper bottle only costs IRs 25.00 which can be used to activate perhaps 10000 No 30 pellets.
