Teething ( dentition)

From sixth to tenth month after birth is considered the period of dentition in children. It happens if calcium is in sufficient quantity in the child but if there is a deficiency of calcium in the body, the child suffers from such kinds of symptoms during dentition as fever, green-yellow loose motions, indigestion, salivation, irritation, etc.

Use of different drugs in the condition of disease while teething (dentition):

1. Chamomilla: Several types of diseases occur in the condition of teething (dentition). First of all, teeth appear on the lower gums and then on the upper gums. Symptoms like fever, constipation, unconsciousness, insomnia, etc. occur while teething. Thus, 12 potency of Chamomilla should be given.

2. Aconite: If the child is suffering from fever while teething, using 3 potency of Aconite is beneficial.

3. Chamomilla: 6 potency of Chamomilla should be given in the condition of excessive loose motions while teething.

4. Merc-cor: Merc-cor 6 should be used in the condition of amoebic dysentery with loose motions while teething.

5. Nux-vomica: If the child is suffering from constipation while teething, 30 potency of Nux-vomica should be used.

6. Belladonna: Belladonna 6 should be given in the condition of stiffness while teething. Drugs like Calcarea-carb-30, Ignatia-6, Cina-3x or 200, Ipecac-6 or Sulphur-6, etc. can be given in the condition of delay teething.
