Long-term ibuprofen issues advice

Hi.
Ive been using ibuprofen monthly for 2-3 days for my dysmenorrhea (homeopathic treatments havent helped me so far).
Usually on the first day I probably take a dose that is greater than the recommended.
Ive read the side-effects in the pamphlet you get with the pills include depression and depersonalization, which I have issues with.
I also read today in the Chronic Diseases by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann about the effects of allopathic drugs, and that diseases confounded with these drugs are hard, and long to treat.

I am starting a new treatment with another practitioner and this time I am very strict about diet and lifestyle changes but I am confused about the ibuprofen use.

Is it possible the side-effects and maybe other issues, and my problem being hard to treat is from using this drug a few times a month?
Online it says long term use is considered only when it is taken daily, if Im not mistaken.

Should I leave the ibuprofen altogether? My pains are very strong.
