Since you do not, as I presume, get Migraines frequently, you can use the pellets directly under the tongue.
Remember that the Arnica therapy is not an instant fix. You should observe some improvement in a week when I shall expect you to alert me.
Your understanding as per your post is correct.

Hi Joe,
I was reading Sally’s thread and there was someone who mentioned that they get whiteheads almost everyday. I have that problem too which I don’t think I had mentioned before. You recommended Silicea 6x 2tablets twice daily. Should I have that too? And, (if yes) since I’m having arnica, should I wait for about 10 mins before having the Silicea?
Again, thank you for your help.

I would prefer that you do not mix remedies unless they are called for.
Let the Arnica help your Acne and I believe that your whiteheads will dry up automatically as there will be no fresh outbreaks.
I presume that you have stopped all your multitude of pills for this that and the other that you in common with most American use on a daily basis today.
If only they realize the damage that they are doing themselves, they will soon realize that no pills are required to live a healthy life. It is precisely the poisons that are created by these pills that cause other more serious side effects in the long run which can affect people.
You may like to know that I have not used any 'pill' for the last 30+ years except for a bried period when I was in surgery in 2002. I am 76 years old and in perfect health. It can be assumed that I owe my wellness to abstaining from pills and ir is only very rarely that I have recourse to homeopathy which is only if I feel a cold catching on.

Hi Joe,
I know it hasn’t been a full week (which would be on Sunday) but since I’m busy with exams I may not be able to post on Sunday. I have not noticed any change so far in my skin…my skin has become more dry however, I am still breaking out with new pimples and white heads.
But I have been on medicine since Sunday(when I started the arnica) because I had fever and a really bad cold and I had no choice but to take ibuprofen and vicks Dayquil and Nyquil- basically whatever was available in the campus store. Usually I do avoid medicines but I had to be at least at a functioning level to study and attend classes cause its exam time.
Perhaps these medicines (which I stopped having yesterday) and the stress of exams has delayed the arnica from working? Anyway I’m keeping up with arnica and my exams will be over on the 19th so hopefully I’ll see some results in a few weeks after that.
Thanks! | This thread continues beneath the following ad.

Arnica can never affect your skin in any negative manner.
I believe that the change in your skin getting drier is due to the drugs you ahve used.
Keep on with the Arnica and report in week or after your exams.

Just an update…It’s been a week now. I have not seen much change in my skin. I was wondering if this has to do with the way I take arnica. My schedule is really erratic so there is no "fixed time" for it and I take it when I get up and before I sleep. So there is no fixed gap between each dose.
| Re: Acne | From Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-05-24 |
Is it your skin that is causing some concern or your acne ?
I presume that you are using the wet dose of Arnica 30c and sip a teaspoonful after shaking the bottle hard each time.
The timing is not so very important and you can expect results by this time.
| Re: Acne | From malika [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-05-24 |
I meant I have not seen any significant change in my acne. For a few days it seems like my skin is clearing up but then I still get new breakouts and white heads. Should I increase the dosage? Or keep taking it twice a day and see how that goes?
| Re: Acne | From malika [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-05-24 |
And I always shake the bottle and wait 30 mins before and after having arnica.
| Re: Acne | From Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-05-25 |
Let me try another way out.
Use Silicea 6c in the wet dose twice daily with the Arnica but an hour apart.
This is to clear the pus in your lesions which may be the reason why your acne is not resolving.

malika!
it seems u have taken other medicines in the midway. that would have antodoted the arnica. avoid taking other medicines while on homeopathy. also, acne is mainly due to hormonal imbalance in such age groups. have you got any irregular periods?
| Re: Acne | From malika [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-05-26 |
Joe,
I’ll try to get the silicea tomorrow.
thank you | | |

muemrkk,
My periods seem to be regular but I start breaking out a week before. Usually thats when I get the white heads and the acne gets worse. And then I guess my skin tries to recuperate until I get my next period. I’m not having any other medicines…thankfully.
But if it is hormonal problem can I still use homeopathy because I don't want to use the stuff the dermatologist recommend.

Malika!
homeopathy is safe. don't go in for any other medicines. your problem seems to be of hormonal type as your acne gets worse before periods. stick on to Joe's prescription of arnica and silicea. stop worrying first. don't use any cosmetics on your face while on homeopathy.

Hi Joe,
I went to get silicea 6c at the store and they said they only have 30c, 20c and 6x. I’ve ordered the 20c but I wanted to check with you once. Is the 20c more potent and can I just dilute it more? They claimed there is no 6c available. | This thread continues beneath the following ad.

Since you have some difficulty in getting the Silicea 6c let me suggest another remedy for you.
Hepar Sulph 30c should also help your problem in the wet dose taken twice daily leaving about an hour after taking the Arnica 30c.
Please post response after a few days on both remedies.

Just wanted to check...Hepar Sulphurous Calcareum 30c is the correct one right?
| Re: Acne | From Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-06-04 |

the full title of the remedy is
hepar sulphuris calcareum

It's now been a week since I've been taking both the remedies. I don't notice any change in my acne except that I'm getting whiteheads daily. Is that normal with hepar sulph?
| Re: Acne | From malika [Log on to view profile] | on 2006-06-23 |
OK I guess my problem is hormonal so I'll try a dermatologist and get OC pills. Thanks everyone for all the time and advice.

Joe,
I want to understand once and forever.
You said
You are advised to stop all other remedies and drugs if you start the Arnica therapy.
Does it mean you should stop all other acne treatment?
I am reading that homeopathic remedies do not interract in a bad manner.
Is it safe to mis homeopathic remedies or not?
Thanks | | |

Hi Joe,
I am a 21 year old female (I've seen people mention that their menstrual cycle is irregular and so is mine if that plays a part in acne) and I've been suffering from severe acne for almost four years now. When I was in high school I would get only one or two pimples, but since my move to Tallahassee I've broken out completely. I have scarring, blemishes/dark spots, enlarged pores, blackheads (new edition), constant recurring acne (some pus filled and some hard and under the skin), sores left from the acne that takes weeks to heal then turns in to a dark spot. My acne is on my cheeks, chin, and I get one big one every now and then on my nose (so annoying). My skin is filled with acne marks, making my complexion very uneven. I am beginning to think it's the water here in Tallahasse and wanted to buy a filter. I've been taking silicea 30c and hepar sulphuc cal 6c (which seems to help better). What do you suggest for me that will cure all of my symptoms I listed? Please help. Also, I have oily skin (somewhat dry now from medicated creams). Thank-you in advance.
| Re: Acne | From Sharonda [Log on to view profile] | on 2009-11-11 |
Also, I had a pimple on my nose in July and I found a remedy online to use apple cider vinegar with toothpaste. I put that on the pimple overnight and when I woke it left a big burn. Now I have a light round scar on my nose. Is there anything I can use (cream, etc.) to get the color back or will it ever come back? |
