Ankylosing Spondylitis

I have been suffering from neck pain for the last 7-8 years. I had an X ray done...5 years back...and diagnosed as ankylosing spondylitis.
I have pain the lower back also.
My neck X ray shows a calcification(calcium deposits) of the ligament in the neck...My neck movements are restricted. I cannot move fully...
Is there a remedy for this specific disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis in Homeopathy...? I would be thankful if anyone can suggest? I need help badly...

All the symptoms you referred to suggest that you can be cured of your problem with Homoeopathy.
Further details need to be taken before coming to a prescription.

Have you tried Calc-carb? Try it in 200th potency. Symphytum 200 might also be helpful.

Re: Ankylosing Spondylitis a patientFrom jsingh [Log on to view profile] on 2004-05-07
I am also a patient of AS. from my experiene and discussion with other patients, I would suggest that you maintain a healthy diet, agressively stick to your fitness/exercise program to ensure that joints futher do not get stiff and fused. This disease will continue to hit/worsen your joints one by one progressively making them stiff, painful and restricting movement.

Do not get depressed. The disease is not life threatening.
Try alternate thearpies to get relief. Allopathic medicines may be taken as less as possible.

I maintain a healthy diet, but when I try to excerise or walk I am down for 2-3 days with horrible lower back pain.
So far I have found no relief except for pain meds that make me sick.
