Treating chronic/recurrent condition, possibly constitutional

I have only recently begun to have recurrent vertigo. It recurs about every two weeks, so it's now long-term and not acute, even though the onset is sudden for each episode. My experience with homeopathy has been limited to acute symptoms--short term illnesses, injuries, and working in birth (I'm a student midwife). I've been using homeopathy for over ten years now, but have not needed it for anything chronic or constitutional before. I would appreciate someone walking me through how to treat something chronic, and possibly constitutional (the remedy fits both for me). Do I wait until the symptoms come back, or can I treat without symptoms when the condition is chronic? What dosage, how often, and for how long? I know the remedy is right, I just need the "how to" for treating chronic symptoms. If it is important to note, the remedy is Pulsatilla. I am certain this is the right one. Thank you!
