Anxious son

Hi could someone help my 12 year son is suffering anxiety panic attacks, as a baby and up to now he always has had difficulty going to sleep needing someone next to him very insecure going to sleep he also has anxiety and phobias now again I have noticed those episodes are worse during growth Spurs very negative depress fidgeting anxious long list he has used homeopathy to help him cope but never found anything that really helps as far as I can remember Ferrum phosphate was one of the better remedy that help him, he the last few days he has started to take panic attacks; he is also addicted to any electronic gaming we do control it but if for any reasons he isn’t able to go on electronic he gets very depress and angry, could someone please help we are desperate to find a durable treatment for him thanks

ANS. 12 years old; male; scotland ; don’t have scales but weight is within normal range

ANS. asthma;anxiousness; difficulty in getting to sleep; phobias;fears for 4 years; asthma; for 10 years; panic attacks for 2 weeks
Chest; head; mental health; on and off for 4 years;
b)What exactly do child feels, Sensation as pain, how pain feels or burn etc, according to you.
ANS. can’t breath; anxiousness; dread; going to sleep and died can’t drift to sleep feeling of death; pins and needle in hands sore heart; mind full of negativity.
c)What are the factors that causes this trouble according to you.
ANS. separation anxiety all ailments seems to occur when I had to leave son

ANS. going on electronic games ie: Xbox; phone; watching tv; or if next to him; hugging him.

ANS. his nose seems to be affected when he is out of balance needing to blow and blocked also overactive bladder when going to bed

Asthma started at 2 when I had started going to college he had his 1st asthma attack while under the care of nanny/ friend; behavioural changes started when sibling was born and also when my father came to live beside us; panic attacks started when we booked a holiday without kids for anniversary;

ANS. asthma is controlled by inhaler whenever required when sibling was born asthma was at worse we used phototherapy which helped to get through he now only take inhaler whenever required for anxiety fear and phobia he was referred to cahms which ask us to reinforce positivity and ingnore negativity and angry outburst it does seem to help but not fully night anxiety as always been present

ANS. grandmother suffering of heart disease; 2 set of grandparents suffering from diabetes; mum is healthy I have gallstones since after the birth of my 1st son but managing without getting operations; dad has had a back injury and has degeneration of the spine and also has fibromyalgia

ANS. he was a happy very compliant child and toddler until sibling came along and grand father he then started to have behaviour issues, family is very important to him and is very much in tune with family feelings and his.

ANS. he does well at school and likes to be good at it he struggles with home work and has to be prompted to do it.

ANS he has lots of friends and his well liked he likes to please and his aware of people feelings, even with family members he likes to please sometime put others people first before himself he hates to disappoint his parents he feels unloved and thinks we hate him if a situation has arise where he was in the wrong.

ANS. he eats well drinks regularly but tends to eat drink more come evenings

ANS. he likes more savoury things loves cheese and crisps; doesn’t like any meat that looks like meat example he would eat chicken nuggets as it doesn’t look like a piece of meat he could eat ma Donald’s or kfc everyday; he doesn’t eat much Frits even when prompted

ANS. he doesn’t like to go for walks it’s a shore to him we have 2 dogs and hate going for walks taking the dogs

ANS. he has bowel movement every 2 to 3 days he feels great relieves after bowel movement he had bowel impaction when 9 he was put on stool softener and laxative it was embarrassing for him as he wasn’t in control and had accident so I did some research and gave him nux vomica and it sorted the problem out

ANS. none that

9. Urine.
a)Frequency, nature, volume.
ANS. he is regular going to toilet not excessive volume as it should be but when put to bed he has an overactive bladder and goes to the toilet constantly sometime not passing much urine, he doesn’t like to be watch while peeing it seems to put him in a freeze and he is unable to pass urine
b)Any discomfort before, during or after urination/odour
ANS. pale yellow no discomfort non smelly

12. Sleep.

ANS. according to my son he has no good thoughts or dream ever at bed time, going to sleep is a really struggle he can’t switch of his recent panicky attacks have made going to sleep even worse he now believes that if he drift into a sleep he will stop breathing; is legs jerk while lying down he is very nervous about going to sleep his nose needs constant blowing before he sleeps he often has nightmares; he needs a lot of reassurance wants someone to sleep beside him ; sometime I hear him groaning in his sleep;sleeping isn’t a good experience for him.

ANS. he sweats a lot under his arm pit no stains but strong smell

a)Tolerance to heahad t and cold, dryness, humidity, weather changees, sun,

ANS. dampness seem to agrivate his chest he likes heat but also tolerates cold well although asthma gets bad if too cold especially if breathing cold air

ANS. crawled about 7 to 8 months walk just before 1 talked about 1ish was a clear speaker teeth about 5 to 6 months he drooled a lot till very late about 7 years old when he stopped; toilet trained was straight forward except poos it took a lot longer about 3 to 4 years old
c)How did the child react to the following situations: vaccinations, birth of younger sibling, starting day care, starting school, spending night with a friend, going away to camp, traveling with the family vaccination was done tablet form( homeopathic); birth of sibling was ok but seen behaviour change;starting day care was no problems loves company; he was also ok staying over at friends; he love to spend time with his family and going on holiday

ANS. very sensitive he will take it to heart and it’s like his whole life and being is affected by the criticism he would feel rejected

ANS. never ever uses cutlery always eats with fingers; very quick eater can’t sit straight and enjoy his diner feels he is a rush

Hello just to give you an uptake my son has gone a lot worse since 2 weeks ago he has extreme panic attacks he has had to go to hospital a few time he feels depress a lot of the time it seems to happen when he is unoccupied but on the positive his asthma has been very good not needed his inhaler at all for his panick attack we have arrange for him to start CBT therapy hopefully this will help regards Nathalie

More regular bowel moment passing wind a lot more the panic attacks are really bad tho really hard to cope with we are not getting much sleep I feel he going crazy at time at he won’t go to sleep unless I’m next to him I have been advise to not mix therapies while he doing CBT I don’t much about colour therapy but could we please leave it just now to after CBT therapy best regards Nathalie

What info would you need to find which colour would suit my son? I notice on the 1st link you’ve sent there is an exercise to try and find which colour would sooth my son anxiety would I try it? Would it work along with cbt? Thanks Nathalie

He was born in larkhall I have tried the exercise recommended per link you send and felt blue was calming it did help my son to calm him down just to let you know also he has been managing to sleep for 8 hours without interruption he is agitated but is able to control himself a little better the panick attack have reduced to 70% in severity although he does have them every day so hopefully he will get better every day thanks best regards Nathalie
