| I have several small pitted scars on my face due to years of acne. I've been taking Radium Bromatum for about 4 months now as prescibed by my Homeopath, but I don't see any signs of improvement. Is it possible to cure this through homeopathy? Are there other more effective treatments? |

Scientifically speaking the scars do not close or the skin does not become smooth in the affected area as before. But with Homoeopathy any scar which has occured in the past one year can be cleared a bit. In fact Radium bromide is good remedy for the same. But it needs to be followed up by appropriate complementary remedies.

SILICEA 30 C is also a good remedy for clearing all kinds of ANCE SCARS.

Arnica 30 is very effective in the treatment of acne. If it is used regularly when the first crop of pimples breaks out it will control the spreading on the face and the subsequent scarring that often results if this condition is left untreated. | | |

Try Silicea 30 or Belladonna 30. These remedis are very effective.

Hi all,
I am 25 years old male, Acne started in my life at the age of 15 and Now i am taking homeopathic medicenes for the past three months and now it has been reduced and but still it comes now and then, the horrible thing is the ols acne scars, is there any way to get rid off it.
I heard form someone that acne pitting cant be treated, but i have some other scars too..
1. small wrinkles
2. the skin on the cheek is uneven(where the acne had come before and i hadnt priked that, but still i can see small but many bumps on the skin)
let me tell symptoms
1. Acne scars on cheeks -
-small wrinkles
-brownish scars like how a cured wound on knees would look
-small bumps on the cheeks(puzz or the skin is not absorbed inside)
4.. my face looks horrible in mirror if the lights are focused from the sides of the cheek.( i can see only the uneven skin)
5. i feel better in dim lighted room ( when lights are focused straight on my face) as the uneven skin is concealed.
6.sleep straight with back fully touching the bed?
7. sensitive to comments on looks.
8. fruatration
9.. fruits make me feel better
and i hate oily foods
11. i have done chemical peeling once - the for a few weeks my face appeared brighter
12..i am taking homeopathy medicines to stop further acne
13. cold hands
All i want to know is-- can this uneven skin(bumps and one year old pus) be absorbed in and wrinkles be reduced and brownish wound like scars be corrected with homeopathic medicines. | | |

Arnica 30c taken in the Wet Dose usually helps to cure chronic cases of Acne, Styes and Chalazions which have defied other Homeopathic remedies and drugs.
The method used to make the Wet Dose is as follows:
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from your nearest supermarket.
Pour out 100ml
Drop in 3 pellets or 1 drop of liquid Arnica 30c into the 400ml water
Cap the bottle tightly and succuss it 4-6 times by banging on your palm and look out for the air bubbles to fizzle up from the bottom.
Pour out 1 teaspoonful of the potentized remedy and sip it twice daily with the last dose taken last thing at night.
You should observe that your acne will disappear in under 10 days. The scars will also get filled up in a few months.
You will also observe that you will sleep very deeply after the Arnica. I believe that this is part of the therapy as this deep sleep helps the body to recover better overnight.
Arnica is very safe in use and I have used it every night as a 'tonic' for the last 10 years. | | |

I cannot understant why the ABC store is confusing so many by offering the Radix which is the root of Arnica. It is not listed in any of the Materia Medicas that I have studied and they will hopefully stop advertising it to avoid unnecessary confusion.
Arnica Montana is the remedy that is accepted and currently used in Homeopathy and I hope that the ABC will please remove the A Radix from their list of remedies. | | |

I would like to know if the potentized arnica water should be kept refigerated or not. Also, can it be taken on partially full stomach. Lastly, does mint as in toothpaste destroy it's effect.

I presume that you live in India where temperatures are high and similar to Sri Lanka where I live.
I have noticed that there is a tendency for algae formation in the potentized water especially if the remedy used was in the form of globules where the lactose initiates the formation coupled to light even in a room.
It is best to refrigerate the bottle and although there may not be any reaction to the remedy itself in the event of algar formation in the water, it is best to replace it with a new solution using the same technique.
I note that you have not indicated the reason for your using Arnica and if you have used it for your hair loss, you may like to share with other members the result of your usage. | | |

Thanks Joe - I am interested in trying it for acne - do I have to take it on empty stomach and does mint toothpaste cancel out the effect? (I heard mint antidotes homeopathics)

Alll Homeopathic remedies are best taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Some remedies like Nat Phos however should be used immediately after if used for GERC conditions.
It is possible that mint flavoured toothpaste can affect the efficacy of remedies and this can be avoided by using them in the same manner as food on which I commented above. | | |

Hi Mr. Livera,
You stated in your post on 8/29/2005 that with a wetdose of arnica "scars will get filled up in a few months."
Obviously, the filling of a scar would be referring to a pitted and depressed (indented) type of scar.
So, this suspension of arnica (wetdose) will cause my pitted and depressed rolling scars to fill up to normal skin level?
Please respond as soon as possible.

Arnica will prevent the formation of Acne and I have observed that it will also help with filling up the scars but this is a slow process and will only occur in a few months.
You can also use Silicea 6c to help with the filling in of scars caused by previous attacks of acne.
The combination of both remedies Arnica twice daily and Silicea once daily will accelerate the curative process. | | |

i get so confused with all the suggestions on here. silica 6c, 30c, belladonna, arnica. what is going to be the best for pitted or acne scars in general. like in the case of silica 30c/6c. I tried homemade silica for the longest time(5 to 6 months) and it did help a little I think for my scars. I still need to make a new batch of it. any other recommendations on dealing with acne scars? thanks. | | |

I have observed that any remedy in the water dose is far more effective than the same remedy taken dry. The water dose is made by putting in 3 globules or just 1-2 drops of the liquid remedy into a 500ml bottle of spring water and this is succussed (banged hard) to produce bubbles which seems to raise the potency of the remedy every so slightly upwards thereby making it more effective in its impact on the body.
This is however not true in the case of the lower X potencies which must be taken dry. | | |
