need advice on 1M repetation
Hello,i have read about remedies for long and finally got one that showed improvement.
I took 1 dose in 1M potency. for first 3 days progress was fast and great but from 2 days its getting like same as before taking remedy. So i want to ask for advice when i can take the next dose safely and for how long can i continue to do so like if i take 2nd dose with the gap of 1 week can i take the 3rd dose again after week if the response is same or should i look to change the remedy after certain number of doses?

It is not only the potency that is important but also the medicine. There are many drugs which are slow acting & take their own time to work.
It also depends upon how deep acting they are.
Now in your case, you have NOT mentioned the name of the medicine and also about the ailment for which you have taken the treatment.
In case of very chronic ailments like Psoriasis etc. the manifestation may be very slow & would take not only days but weeks or even months.
We can guide you further if you may give all the details.
Meanwhile, if I would be in your place I would not repeat & wait for some more days than to repeat and spoil the case.

Dear Ahmad,
Treating allergies is a very tricky situation as it depends upon many factors ( known as well as Unknown)and it also gives a testing time to both the doc & patient.
I would suggest you to wait for a period of full month after the last dose you took & watch the improvement & in case if there is no significant improvement you may repeat the same potency in a single dose giving again a month's time.
Dr. Kent has recommended in his writings that it is advisable to repeat same potency only once & then only go for higher potency if the results are not satisfying.
Apart from this you may also have to consider of removing the causal factors of any allergy, failing which ONLY remedies cannot help much.
Homoeopathy helps in removing the negative effects of causes provided those factors are also taken care of.
Like a Tobacco chewer has to stop chewing tobacco & get the med to remove the bad effects. Just the med will not work.
Other forum members may also please share their experiences.

dear doctor chewing and smoking tobbaco is by choice where as avoiding artificial scents is not as they have become integrated part of this world, all the malls are filled with so called air freshner that are actually filling the air with harmful chemicals for living beings and all the perfumes people wear with great pride that are made with artificial ingredients are not only bad for them but also trigger allergy for those who are allergic to these harmful chemicals. So avoiding them 100% is impossible till we evolve to a point where this industry is limited like tobbaco industry i.e not to be used in public places.
i will not take any further dose as you quoted kent. after 2 doses of 1M what potency should be taken incase progress is halted?

No one can tell you what to take after 2 doses
of 1M and no progress. Everything is based on
the type of reactions you had or did not
have on this- and so you should report that
info on here to get an opinion at that time,
based on the facts at that time.
In regards to perfume allergy, if histamine
helps in the short term, but not in long term,
you need to get an overall remedy ( constitutional treatment)
This is because allergies are the immune system
over reacting to things that are really
NOT a danger. You want to build up your immune
system and then there will not be a problem-
you won't react or it will be a minor issue.
Doing the constitutional treatment can take some
time- maybe months and some different remedies, but
you will find less and less of these types of things
bothering you.

Simone i meant to ask the potency actually if the remedy is working, for now it can be academic but later on it will be practical. If 1M is working nicely for 2 doses and system don't respond as it did before then is it time to change remedy or go for higher potency, incase the later what is the reasonabke higher potency after 1M. I hope you get my point. I'm not asking for specific remedy but rule for repeating and moving to higher potency.

There is no simple formula that you can decide on
your own whether you should go up or you should
wait longer or you should try something else.
There have been many people on here, who for some
"lucky" reason did not get an answer on this same
question when being supervised on here.
They were taking 1M, and improvements seemed to stop
after a couple weeks. Due to the prescriber not
being available, they had to wait another two weeks.
During that time, they then had major improvements
and cure.

Ahmad dear, this one life is too short a period to understand the intricacies of Homoeopathy. Perhaps, this is the reason that this science is so much misunderstood by our Allopathic brothers.
I too suggest that you need to get a proper diagnosis done & right medicine be taken under a guidance of competent Homoeopath.
My own experience with self doctoring has always been not a very pleasant one.
In lighter vain a barber cannot shave his own head.
Just stay put for some time & observe the improvement.

homeopathy. Even I, when taking remedies for
acute things, still deal with thoughts after 20 minutes- "is it working, should I take more, should I take a higher dose or switch?" Very hard
to supervise yourself. I think that is due to being more
used to how allopathic meds work so quickly,and
a mind set of if this is good, more of it, higher
strength of it would logically be better.
But, that is not true in allopathy and certainly
not true in homeopathy.

Thanks simone for sharing your opinion. your right in saying that patience is a rare quality to posses especially if you need something badly, very badly i'd say, small things like a glass of water when your thirsty and want it badly but if you have it with you all the time and your not thirsty then you dont realise the value of water. your right again to consult a proper certified homeopath, the definition of homeopath is broad when i once posted by issue couple of people got offended when i asked if they were qualified homeopath. Other than this forum i have seen homeopaths who are professors in designation but couldn't help me so after seeking and requesting help i decided to help myself.
Out there mixopathy has taken over classical homeopathy so instead of taking blends of remedies from qualified homeopaths isn't it better to study about remedies in detail and seek little help on the dosage and potency? In general what you said is correct in theory but practically its little different.
i have seen progress with just 1 dose and so far the progress has not reversed i was hoping the input would be about not taking second dose now and wait till the progress stop or reverse etc so i have an indicator or two when to take 2nd dose,i'm not thirsty for 2 drops of alcohol but im very thirsty for well being. cheers!

has stopped and things are returning back to
a previous state.
I have read many cases where the 1M, one dose
worked well for months and then one more
dose worked to cure and no more were needed.
You can always put what is going on with
your reactions on here to help you make
that decision.
